It's actually Rockman 3 ROM, not Rockman 5.

Yeah, it uses a MM5 rom instead of RM5. Though since it's still being worked on, there really isn't much to check out.

So I'm not the only one who hopes Roll gets hit by one of Guts Man's rocks?

As someone who has yet to play Powered Up, I'm very interested in this project. Also, I like the password screen. Very cool. I just wish he'd do the music in the same vein as Powered Up instead of recycling the NES music. Ah well, can't have everything.

You guys will LOVE this one. I can't wait for it to get finished.

Introducing my MM5 hack.
I'll be doing updates here as well as asking for opinions and feedback here.
If you guys have any comments or ideas please go ahead and post them!
I'll begin by listing the goals of the project. =)

This hack aims to take much of the content from Mega Man Powered Up and bring it to the NES in full 8-bit glory. This will be a long-term project as my ASM skills are still in development. I definitely won't be porting every aspect of the game. Some things simply won't be possible for the NES and some things will be more trouble than their worth. If anyone would like to help with the project feel free to PM me. I need the most help with ASM stuff and music porting/remixing. =)

Here is a list of my specific goals:
New title screen
New stage gfx based on MMPU
Upgraded Megaman / Robot Master gfx based on MMB&F
New story sequence
New script
Porting Enemies / Robot Masters / Weapons from other MM games
New Robot Masters, Timeman & Oilman
Convert slide, mega buster, & rush adapters into power up items
Replace rush's graphics with generic accessories
Port music from MM1
Add custom songs for Timeman, Oilman, title screen, etc...

So is it easier to hack a MM game or build one from the ground up? MM7 8-bit is quite possibly the best homebrew MM game I've ever seen.

Oh man I cannot wait to play MM Ultra III. Loved the first one. Between that, Mega Man Forever, and MM IV: Maverick's Revenge, that's three MM4 rom hacks. Nice to see the other games getting some hack love.

Nice job on the progress for your game, N-Mario. Another hilarious vid. :)

Yeah, there does need to be a site for MM fan games. I can't believe no one has made one yet. A new MM2 rom hack seems to be born every few months.

Wow, 16 Mavericks? 'Bout time people started breaking away from the trend of the usual 8.

Hmm..... The authors site has posted what looks like Needle Man's stage...... Rock Man 3 Endlesss? o_O

Considering RockMan 3 was everyone's favorite game, this might be interesting. :)

Another update? Sweet. I was hoping he'd throw in some MM3 stages.

Actually, I think the Skull Barrier was the first shield you could walk around with.

One from each game? Hmmm let's see.

MM: Elec Man with Cut Man in second
MM2: Wood Man
MM3: Magnet Man with Shadow Man being a very close second
MM4: Pharaoh Man
MM5: Napalm Man
MM6: Yamatao Man
MM7: Turbo Man
MM8: Tengu Man
MM9: Tornado Man with Concrete Man in second place
MM & B: Cold Man
MM V: Neptune

Overall Fav: Magnet Man

Shield weapons are among my favorites in the MM games. I liked the Leaf Shield but when you moved, it zoomed off in whatever direction you pointed in. They more or less improved the shields with each game, the exception being the Star Crash, but it did make Crystal Man's stage less infuriating so I gotta give it props for that. Since I haven't played MM9 yet, I can't comment on the Jewel Satelite but it sounds like it's fabulous.

Or...
You could listen to the original version in the same music section. XD

Oh I do. I'd still rock to have that music in 8-bit along with the rest of the soundtrack. I believe Wood Man's stage is an 8-bit version of the train level on Turtltes in Time.

And like I said, awesome that they used RKS's Stage Start and Boss Theme... owo

I've requested to have it in the music section once the game is completed. :)

When Rockman Unprecedented is finished, it would be great to have the music to that game. It already rocks hard!  8)
