Off The Wall / Re: See ya later!/Welcome back!
« on: July 19, 2009, 01:46:51 PM »
So, I think I'll be leaving this forum now. I doubt a lot of people know me (since I've only been here for a week), so it won't exactly be much of a good bye. A week might seem like too short to say something like this, but I don't know, forum life isn't for me, I guess. I might be back later on, I might never come back. I don't know, but I'd put my money on the latter one.

I don't really like these animes that stretch over several seasons *cough*pokemonetc.*cough*. To me, they just get boring and the same things just happen over and over again. Of course, it's the same with all of the more popular series. They just keep going.

I prefer short ones that follows a certain story more. They're usually the best, according to me. And films, they're just better. In a smaller package, the things inside has to be packed closer together.

Bleh, I'm rambling again. Anyway, that's why I like his films, I think. Oh, and they're extremely well made.

< Ouch.

V could have been the one who fell on me.

funfact, he is a [tornado fang]ing creepy person.

as in, if he doesn't want someone working with him, he'll stand over their shoulder and whisper "what are you doing here"

And you always give me that creepy stare...

For shame, you left out Porco Rosso, the goddamn anthro pig who can fly a plane which inspired Metaboss from M&L3 due to similar personalities.

Sadly, I haven't watched it yet. I'll get to it as soon as possible, if it makes you happy person.

Yeah, i hate anime too, but his works are amazing, story wise, illustration wise, and everything wise! XD

Well, I have to add that I don't really hate Anime at all anymore  :P

Although there's nothing that's like his movies. Can't say they got sloppy anywhere at all.

Nausicaa & the Valley of the Wind is still my favorite work from him, but really, all his stuff is pretty much gold.  Not only that, but the soundtracks are so good as well.

Yeah, I have the soundtracks from Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke on my cell phone.

Anime & Manga / The supposedly useful thread about Hayao Miyazaki

Pardon if I'm a loser and can't read, but I didn't see any threads that directly had to do with him and his movies, so I thought there was a need for one. Here it is.

Well, I suppose his most famous film is Spirited Away. At least that's the one I've heard the most about (since it even reached us here in the north where polar bears walk the streets) and it was the first one I watched. Just today I saw The Cat Returns (he wasn't the director in this one, but one of the producers) and it was great. Studio Ghibli is an amazing group.

Now to list the movies I've seen where Miyazaki was involved:
- Spirited Away
- Princess Mononoke
- The Cat Returns
- Howl's Moving Castle
- My Neighbour Totoro
- (Laputa:) Castle in the Sky
- NausicaƤ of the Valley of the Wind

Quite a lot of them. And just a couple of years ago, I remember I didn't like anime at all. I am a nerd.  8D

Granted, but now WoW haters are hunting you down even more.

I wish I had a Space Marine suit.

21
Granted, but the stuff you make involves love making, cucumbers and horse races.

I wish I would get to dream about something.

Oh, this is much better than anything I could make. I have a feeling I'll never really reach this level when it comes to composing and whatnot. So yeah, thanks for sharing, I hope we'll see (read hear) more from you.
