MM5 - Gravityman :the most easiest robot masters battle in my entire life, even 10-years old kid could beat him :D

Man, I think the idea for most Robot Masters was for 10 year-old kids to beat them : T

Definitely disappearing blocks and instant death speed lasers.  Those hippos from Ring Man's stage are a bit bothersome to me, as are the tigers from Mega Man 5, and those cyclops stomper things from Mega Man 1.

Well, sorry.  I tried to like him but it just never happened  8)
Well, I can say this.  The battle arena you fight him in, you know, the secret-ish one that looks like a castle, or something?  That place looks cool.

I was really disappointed by a lot of Mega Man 6 dudes.  I think Plant Man takes the cake, even among them.  Retarded design, boring attack, boring stage, boring theme music... I can't really think of anything good about him.  Centaur Man is a stupid idea to me, but at least he has a cool looking stage with a decent theme. Tomahawk Man was pretty lame, but his theme song is nice.  Yamato Man was an overall stupid idea, too.  Needless to say, I'm not the biggest Mega Man 6 fan around  ~w~

Oh yeah.  I'm convinced that CutMan's theme is the theme of a latin lover.

I think I strangely perfectly understand what you mean.

Both done by Kenji Ito, one of my favorite composers from video games.  I think he does the best RPG battle themes.

Very, very impressive stuff.  You're really talented and you've got a great comic style.  I really like your Rodians and esurance gal.  She reminds me of Danger Girl and Totally Spies.  I look forward to seeing more.

Off The Wall / Re: Models and Figures

Well, looks like I was right.

Yeah, but as far as I know Bruce Timm didn't have anything to do with that.  It was nothing like the DC Animated Universe stuff in style or feel.  Those Spawn figures don't reflect the image it had at all.  The HBO animated Spawn series was brilliant.  Try to hunt it down if you can.

I believe those figures are based off of "Adventures of Spawn", which has more of a cartoony look and feel to it than "Spawn".

I collect mainly comic book related stuff from DC Direct.  Primarily things from the Green Lantern, Superman, or Justice League franchises.  I don't have a picture of my stuff, though.  It's really nothing compared to some people's collections that I've seen.

Cold.  Blizzard Man and Frost Man push the scales in cold's favor.  Freeze Man's pretty good, too.  I don't think the likes of Gemini Man, Crystal Man, or Flash Man count as ice/cold based Robot Masters.  I always figured Gemini Man to be more of a spacey type dude.

The Green Lantern power ring is one of the coolest things to me.  I think it's one of the greatest concepts in comicdom.

4. They just gave up after Johto or something.

*raises hand*

This is me.  I loved the first and second generation of games, but Ruby and Sapphire killed it for me.  I bought Diamond Version, but never play it.  I gave up on the anime around the Orange Island period.  I haven't played the more recent games lately to give any kind of thorough critique on them, but I felt that they weren't innovating enough and the quality of nearly everything (designs, worlds, attacks, characters, types, art) was going down.

As for being too childish, Pokemon is a surprisingly complex thing.  It's complex in that it is as complex as the player wants it to be, if that makes any sense.  You can go through the games playing like a numb skull, with your level 89 Charizard and your level 6 everything else, or you can pour more effort and brains into getting a well balanced and solid team.  For those that want to do serious strategizing, the option is definitely there, despite the childish guise.

Though I'm not nearly as big a fan as I used to be, I don't have any real beef with the series, so I do want to play my Diamond Version.  I just need to get around to it.

I can never understand why in their minds they thought giving Mega Man retarded facial expressions would be cool for the U.S. box art of Mega Man 3 and 4.  I also like how Pharoah Man is as big as a palace on 4's box : I

I really like the cover for 5, though.

One from each game? Hmmm let's see.

I go by design, stage theme, boss battle, and stage.

MM: Cut Man
MM2: Bubble Man
MM3: Magnet Man
MM4: Pharaoh Man
MM5: Gyro Man
MM6: Uh... Flame Man, I guess.
MM7: Spring Man
MM8: Tengu Man
MM9: Plug Man
MM V: Jupiter

Overall Fav: Man, I don't know.  I really can't say, but Bubble Man keeps popping into my head.

Rockman Series / Re: Best of Zero's themes

I like his opening stage of X4 the most. It embodies the character for me.

Agreed.  Beyond that, it's the most awesome track out of his themes.  I love the solo at around 0:50.  X4 has one of my favorite soundtracks.  The SNES X3 theme he has is pretty cool, too.

Entertainment / Re: What TV shows are you currently watching?
« on: November 16, 2008, 01:04:43 PM »
I hardly watch television.  I watch Smallville, mainly because I'm a huge Superman fan.  But, on its own merits, the show isn't bad, though it's been much better in its earlier days.  My brother shows me episodes of Heroes now and then.  It's a good, well written show.  Legend of the Seeker is a new show that has come on that I'm interested in because it is based on my favorite fantasy novel series, Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth.  Well, admittedly, the series started to suck when the writer broke away from the fantasy element and used the books as his forum to discuss politics and issues of morality too much.  I also watch Star Wars: Clone Wars.  I'm a huge fan of the Clone Wars in general - Confederacy of Independent Systems vs. The Galactic Republic.  The cartoon is good, though I'm disappointed with the fact that the CIS loses every episode so far.  It's coming off too much like an 80's and 90's kids show where the good guys win every episode.  I can almost see General Grevious throwing a potion on the ground while saying something like, "He who koops and runs away, lives to koop another day."  Overall, I like the show, though.

I also watch WWE shows, with my favorite being Smackdown!  This isn't the best period in the history of pro wrestling, but I still enjoy it... usually.  ECW is garbage, so I usually skip that, and I may miss RAW every so often without regretting it.

I wish Bruce Timm was still working on his DC cartoons, like Superman, Batman, and Justice League.  I really miss that universe he and his cohorts put together (yes, I'm completely aware of his direct to DVD stuff, which has left me thoroughly unimpressed so far).

I've been calling it Bubble Lead (as in leeeeeeeeed) for...ever.  I don't really know why it is called that.  I think I may have wondered at some point in time.

I am a friend of Quickie, an aspiring writer, and a DC comics fanboy. Especially when it comes to Green Lantern and the the Legion of Super-Heroes.

That's awesome.  Green Lantern: Mosaic is one of my favorite stories from any medium.  I'm a big John Stewart, Hal Jordan, and Katma Tui fan, and of the Green Lantern Corps concept.

X.  Playing as Zero is a lot of fun, but I like the more traditional Mega Man feel that X brings to the table.
