I'm still getting used to my new computer. This new keyboard will take a bit for me to become accustomed to. My old keyboard, half of the keys were rubbed blank!

Okay I guess the way it could work is that Archie was already insane when Emerald came around, since exposure to the Orbs causes insanity, while Maxie had some sort of hidden agenda in Sapphire and then became insane in Emerald.
