Kill la Kill has been the most over hyped, overrated show in years.

I worded that totally wrong, I meant to say the hype that Kill la Kill has doesn't bother me like Attack on Titan did.

That's because you're lucky enough to not hang around communities where people never shut up about it.

True, and the Anime club was way more active, and by active I mean oh my god shut up you're too [tornado fang]ing loud, watching Attack on Titan than Kill la Kill, though even then Kill la Kill looked more interesting than Attack on Titan to me in the first place.

I'm sure I'll end up watching AoT when it comes on Toonami because hey I don't have to waste any space but DVR space on it and I imagine it'll be good for a few chuckles like SAO was.

Its even got Kirito's VA as the main guy because you know he's not overplayed or anything.

Attack on Titan actually wasn't too bad... for the first couple episodes.

It went downhill FAST.

We did as a Random, which means we only show the first episode, though I think that might be licensed already so we probably can't watch it.  Though I have no idea what Shonen we're watching since I always leave at 9:00 pm.

So I watched the Mobile Suit Gundam movies, as well as Z Gundam A New Translation.

The MSG ones did a good job of hitting most of the important points of the series without relying on having previously watching the full series, while managing to cut out some fluff. I still enjoyed watching them.

A New Translation, on the other hand, felt kinda disjointed at times. There was parts that I felt like I wouldn't have known what was going on if I hadn't seen the series previously. This kinda also worked against me, since I felt like a lot of important stuff was left out. Then there was the new footage, which was just... jarring next to the old stuff, particularly in the latter movies.

I suspect that if ANT had a longer running time like the MSG movies did, it might have helped quite a bit. It would have given more time for stuff to be fleshed out, like the various meetings with Four for example. The new ending... I'm not sure how to feel about it. It kinda has a lot of repercussions that might never get addressed.

The opening for A New Translation was bizarre as [tornado fang].

I try to ignore ANT, it's rather annoying that a lot of ZZ haters tend to latch onto the new ending.

Still don't really understand the hate for ZZ. I thought it was awesome.

So did I! Even if the humor was rather hit-or-miss at the beginning it quickly improved after they left Shangirla, Judau was a really fun main character and I enjoyed the whole show thoroughly.

Judau is still my favorite main character Gundam pilot. He was actually optimistic & fun.

Yeah, it definitely improves once they leave the colony, but it's very solid.

One thing I liked about Judau is that he's not a very skilled pilot, sure he improves by the show but even at the end he doesn't really hold up to the likes of Amuro. Then again none of the pilots in the Gundam Team were all that good, I still remember that episode where they were all getting trashed by a Gelgoog and Judau had to save the day.

Oh yeah, I remember that one. But you're right. He improves, but he's no way as skilled as Amuro.

Well Amuro is bad example really, he's one of the better pilots in the whole series but I'm sure you got the idea.

I don't know why, I don't feel hyped about Kill La Kill. I don't really like the shows premise/concept/whatever anyway. Plus....the fact that its overhyped turned me off from the show as well.

I actually really enjoyed ZZ. UC wouldn't feel complete without it, even with its kinda odd beginning by contrast to other series.

All I really see in Kek la Kek is those incredibly retarded outfits. I keep bouncing between "fine, I'll watch it" and "I don't really see why".

Anyways, on another note, I've started watching Chuunibyou. It's, um... it's okay so far. It's interesting.

what

While Kill la Kill was overhyped beyond belief (had a friend of a friend say it was OMGERD DA BEST ANIME EVERS), I did enjoy it for all the nonsense and pretty awesome fight scenes.

The fight scenes are alright but a lot of them are let down by an over reliance on stock footage.

I honestly never thought I see words like that come out of your mouth, even if it was from someone elses.
