Added Galen's bio. You know the drill by now.

I've actually surprised myself at how much work I've had to put in to writing Shani's bio. Had to do some pre-tty heavy retconning to Xhai's backstory, too.

Not impossible, but difficult. The Maverick Hunters didn't consider it a priority as Galen wasn't a combat model, and he's still *mostly* functioning as he should.

Since he came to Websitia, though, it may as well be impossible for now. The only other Reploid (that I know of) currently on-planet is Alastor, and while Mika was able to dredge a little information from his mind, she doesn't know enough about how Reploids are built to attempt something as complicated as open-head surgery on one.

DrWilyII would probably be able to fix it, since he managed to reprogram Alastor, but since he's....well, Doc, approaching him about it probably isn't a good idea. I suppose the only way for it to be resolved would be if Galen were to teach Mika everything she needed to know to perform the op, but he's actually gotten used to it after so long (and, though he won't admit it, he's using it as an excuse to stay off the front-lines.)

Ooh yeah if it's open head surgery Sakura would probably not be able to fix that as of right now. She's built 2 robots and is in charge of the maintenance of Zeta who may be reploid class, especially since she breaks the 1st Law of Robotics quite a few times, since her creator is unknown. Borock-bot may be Reploid class but Zeta is definitely more advance than him, however she's been working on her before she created Borock-bot and the other guy. They just refer to each other as robots anyway. I honestly haven't thought too much about who created Zeta really.

I'm assuming Siraj's voice box can't be fixed either due to his parts kind of not being readily available?

Pretty much. The whole process of cyberizing him in the first place was kind of a botch-job on the part of the ones in responsible, to be honest.

True, he isn't exactly known for testing things so thoroughly. Or lawfully, I'm thinking that [tornado fang]ing with Dragons would probably be illegal on Websitia. I'm thinking Dragons would probably be an endangered species.

Never mind Dragons, [tornado fang]ing with Cadmus is an easy way to put yourself on the endangered species list.

As it stands right now, the only reason Doc's still with us is that Cadmus doesn't know he was behind everything that happened to him. The Aile-bot Cosplay Rangers should be watching their backs, at any rate.

Also it seems I misspoke about Treasure Hoards being made of [parasitic bomb] as being a common thing, it seems to only be occasional thing. I think we can justify that as there is a real treasure hoard but the [parasitic bomb] hoard is a decoy.

Y'know, that actually fits in perfectly with my original idea for Cadmus.

I've tried to give everyone a role on board the Halcyon. Since running an airship is expensive (not to mention Xhai's medical bills, and Typhon's ammo expenditure), Cadmus allows the crew (specifically Aaru) to select one item from his hoard every month, and sell it to cover the maintenance costs and other such things.

Okay. Technically, it's two lists, so I separated them out to make things easier to understand.

[spoiler]Crew Jobs

Xhai - Unofficial captain, general odd-jobs. (Cleaning and laundry, mostly, since he doesn't have many other practical skills.)
Aaru - Cooking, balancing the books. (Her love of shinies makes her a natural for this.)
Leo - Doesn't officially have one, will keep the helmsman company at night. (Can't interact with anything.)
Bell - Doesn't have one. (Her narcolepsy is something of a hindrance.)
Mika - Officially the captain, mechanic/tech wiz.
Minty - Helmsman, Mika's assistant/gofer.
Saden - Mapping the unexplored sections of the ship.
Typhon - Has command of the ship's weapons. (He refused to take any job that would involve him not being allowed to blow things up. Mika then managed to patch him into the ship's weapons subsystems, meaning he literally has direct command of them.)
Alastor - N/A
Shu-Fang - Mapping the unexplored parts of the ship, keeps morale up. (She works shifts with Saden, working nights while Saden explores during the day.)
Siraj - Odd jobs (similar to Xhai)
Cadmus - Is technically funding the thing. He lead the crew to his real treasure hoard sometime after joining them, and they moved the whole thing into the storage rooms he now lives in. Every month, he lets Aaru select one item to be sold in order to cover the ship's running costs.
Shani - Xhai's stalker/bodyguard, odd jobs.
Miyuki - Cooking
Galen - Ship's doctor, helmsman.
Renny - Odd jobs.
Luna - Helmsman, also defends the ship if necessary.

Day Jobs (gotta earn a living somehow, right?)

Xhai - Mercenary work , inadvertently foiling various evil schemes. (He tends to stay away from illegal stuff in the former.The latter doesn't pay so well, but the holidays are surprisingly generous!)
Aaru - Treasure-hunting, pick-pocketing, theft.
Leo - Doesn't officially have one, but will participate in any night-based jobs that don't involve Miyuki.
Bell - Bounty-hunting, occasionally accepts shadier work, too. (Her condition kinda limits her options.)
Mika - Freelance mechanic, makes and sells small gadgets on the side.
Minty - Mika's gofer.
Saden - Bounty-hunting. Only operates at night, though.
Typhon - Doesn't have one.
Alastor - N/A
Shu-Fang - Doesn't have one. (Usually sleeps during the day. Can't stray too far regardless.)
Siraj - Mercenary work (bounty-hunting, bodyguard detail, temporary security jobs, etc.)
Cadmus - Refuses to accept one/Professional mooch.
Shani - Xhai's stalker/bodyguard. Where he goes, she goes.
Miyuki - Freelance assassin.
Galen - Freelance doctor, works in disaster relief free of charge.
Renny - Doesn't have one, works as a helmsman whenever Minty, Galen and Luna aren't around.
Luna - Whatever temp jobs she can get. (Waitressing, stewarding for events, etc.)[/spoiler]

I know, right? He gets away with it, though. Would you wanna tell a near 8-foot tall mass of rage and scales that he needs to shape up and get a job?

So, Im'ma go into a little bit of not-quite spoilers here. Don't wanna get too long winded, so I'll try and keep things brief.

- Shani's backstory ties into Xhai's. The idea I had was that, as Xhai was originally found in a temple in the Dry Dry Desert, I was gonna introduce another two temples into the backstory and aim for an Ancient Egypt themed lore for it all.
- Each temple would be dedicated to a particular animal, one each for air, land and water. The retconning to Xhai's backstory would see him be a part of the now-destroyed Temple of the Falcon prior to being cyberized. Shani would belong to one of the other two, but having done some research I'm not sure I wanna stick with my original idea of having her be half-scorpion.
- Shani's "gimmick" as a character is basically that she's half-human, half-whatever-animal-her-temple-worships. As it stands, the animals I'm now considering (since scorpions on the whole aren't as important as some others) are: Lion, Frog, Crocodile, Cobra, Water-Snake, Turtle and Jackal/Wolf. While Lion would make her more Sphinx-like, I'm also aware that nagas/lamias are kinda cliche. So now I'm dithering.
- The third temple is unimportant to the backstory and really only there to pad out the lore a little.

I'll drop this here as it's what I've been reading while I debate this. If you don't mind, I'd like to hear the thoughts of other people on what would make for an interesting character. I already have her personality, weapons, and general profile down, I just need the animal base in order to put the finishing touches to her bio. What this means is I'll probably give it a couple days so anyone who cares can post an opinion, and post the finished bio sometime on Sunday.

Initially, a bow-and-arrow (later changed to a custom-built Sniper Rifle. I have the backstory and reasoning all planned out already), plus whatever extra limbs/natural aids her half-animal form would give (so in the case of the scorpion idea it'd be pincers and a venomous stinger tail). Her personality would be shaped by the animal in question, too. (Again with the scorpion, it would be insane reflexes and a love of eating weird crap like insects.)

I say Lion then, Sekhmet in particular has seven forms known as the Seven Arrows which could probably still translate to the Sniper Rifle. Though Sekhmet was kind of given a nod with Zeta's Orbital frame so make that of what you will.

But I'll keep looking to see if I find anything else notable.

I see. Funny thing, though. I envisioned her rifle having a revolving multi-barrel (think the Vladof Sniper Rifles in Borderlands 2), with each barrel designed to fire a different kind of slug. The "Seven Arrows" thing could work, since I'm not directly referencing the original deities (ie. The Temple of the Falcon was simply worshipping a Falcon deity, not Horus.)

Thank you for the input though, it's nice to have people help me with stuff like this. I try asking the people I know at work and what-have-you, and I'd just get blank stares and "What the hell are you talking about" responses. So, really, thank you for the help.

I think Doc'll probably want to chip in at some point. Might get other people offering opinions if they check this thread, but I'm giving myself 'til Sunday to make a decision anyway.

Actually I take that back, Baboon or Wolf/Jackle would be better, together with the Falcon and a Human they make the Sons of Horus.

Not sure about Baboon (for some reason I've never been a particularly big fan of apes), but the Wolf/Jackal idea has merit. I'd wanted the third temple to have a water-themed deity, but I guess the Human would be an acceptable substitute. Honestly not sure what the main religion of Planet RPM is (Vixyism? The Church of the Angry Sheep?), but the "Sons of Horus" thing is a good idea.
