Suddenly... another theory!

Due to the bioluminescence, shiny Pokemon are prime targets for predators and most are killed in the wild. The ones that are captured have a longer lifespan in captivity.

The shiny traits are a rare mutation that causes a different pigment production or none at all (the pink shinies) and bioluminescent qualities (green shinies would glow much more brightly). Shiny Pokemon in a colony would fare better, as the members would help protect it. Lone shiny Pokemon are often found and eaten by predators.

Inbreeding causes a higher occurrence of the shiny mutation in captivity. Shinies are more common in "Pokemon mill" breeding facilities.

Zygarde was announced to appear in the special Mega Evolution Act IV, so I think that is a dead giveaway.

Plus Mega Evolution would give Zygarde the much needed 100BST increase to finally place it above Xerneas and Yveltal.

Oh, I misread. I thought you were curious on why someone would style an Arcanine's mane.

Look up styles for long-haired dogs, like chows, Newfoundlands, keeshond, and the like.

OK, finally beat the Pokemon League twice, got nearly all the TMs (I'm disliking the Mirage spot thing... missing three TMs at the moment), collected nearly all of the Legendaries from the Hoops (minus Cresselia, Giratina, Colbalion, and Landorus), and caught 235 Pokemon so far in the National Dex and seen 186 in the Hoenn Dex.

As well as got all areas unlocked. Time to start to completing the Pokedex and get all of the Pokemon.

Though I hear that having more people on your Friend List increases the amount of Mirage Islands to appear or a faster rate or respawn? Can anyone confirm that and if so can I get more people on my Omega Ruby Friend List?
