RUMORS
- Fairy will be a new type weak to Poison and Steel, immune to Dragon, super effective against Dragon, Dark, and Fighting, and Fire and Psychic-type Pokemon take half damage from it.
- Sylveon is Fairy-type. Some older Pokemon will be reclassified to Fairy, such as Mawile (Steel/Fairy).
- Mewtwo has two new formes, not just one. Both are activated via items.
- The professor's English name is Patrice.
- The Starter final evolutions are Fire/Psychic, Grass/Fighting, and Water/Dark.
- The first Gym is Bug, the second is Fairy, and the fourth is Fighting.
- A few attacks will be dual-typed.
- There will be a new type of battling style that Flying-type Pokemon and Pokemon with Levitate can participate in.
- You will be able to see a Pokemon's EVs at a certain in-game facility. You will be able to boost the EVs through mini-games. It will take about two hours to get one stat to max EVs.
It's sort of LONG overdue for a new Pokemon Type, but Fairy for all things? Interesting choice, which explains why Sylveon's type has remained unknown for some time. Fairy type seems a little overpowered considering it can take on Dragon and Dark easily but they needed something to even the playing field so I'm excited for this new type.
Mewtwo has TWO forms? So the movie is only showing one or is this second form going to appear in the end and is currently hidden? I'm not sure about this rumor...
So no more Fire and Fighting type? FINALLY! I have nothing against that dual type but for a long time most of the newer generation of Fire Starter Pokemon ended up being Fire and Fighting while the other two had some different Dual Types at times or just a Single Type. And it's a Fire and Psychic type? It looks like Victini finally has company! ^_^
And Grass and Fighting? I don't recall any other Pokemon with a Dual Type like that... is this a first in Pokemon?
And the next Professor is called "Patrice"? That's a female name so another female Professor?
And a new Battling Style for Flying Type and with Levitate? I'm intrigued I wonder what it will be! And now there will be attacks that will be Dual-Types? So that means more new strategic options will be available this time around for battling which should be fun!
And we can FINALLY see EV stats without the use of a Cheat Device? Excellent! This will make EV and IV training a tad bit easier now.
And before I forget...
http://www.siliconera.com/2013/05/14/pokemon-center-introduces-limited-edition-eevee-nintendo-3ds-xl/An Eevee 3DS XL will be available at the Pokemon Center just like the Charizard one! If only it was Lottery-base to get it, I know Vixy-Nyan would buy it in a heartbeat.
