As the topic says, how was everyone's Christmas this year?  Did you get everything that you asked for? Did you get presents that you did NOT ask for? What kind of presents did you give to your family members? Did you have a nice dinner?

Kind of a general topic. Discuss anything about that happened to you and/or your family this Christmas year. :)

I got a Wii U, a couple of games, I got 3 volumes of the MegaMan MegaMix comics by Ariga, which I didn't ask for. I got a cute little tankbot robot thing. I got a printer/scanner for my computer.  In my stocking, I got a MegaMan 10 key chain, which some candy, and some other things. I gave my mom some jewelry for her little jewelry making set. Oh yea, my bright older sister and my dad built a home movie set in DVD format for my mom and family, as well as digitizing some old photos of her old wedding. It was really lovely.

We had a wonderful dinner. Everyone in my family had a nice Christmas this year. :)

The Christmas payload this year was..

- $20 USD
- Bunch of Clothes
- Sonic Generations (360)
- Drawing Pad
- Headphones
- Super Mario Bros Super Show! DVD
- Candy/Small figurines

And a week's worth of leftovers, so yeah. I'd say Christmas Eve was more eventful than Christmas but..

WORST. APOCALYPSE. EVER.

Workshop/DA/YT/Photobucket なにかんがえてるの!?
So its about ass now huh? EVEN THE ASS HAS 'EXCEEDED'!

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

This year wasn't too bad.  I spent Christmas with my half-brother, his wife, and my niece and nephews.  The kids were a bit bratty this time, but, they began to behave.  It snowed Christmas Eve and we had nice accumulation.  I went with them to Christmas Eve service and we walked to the church in the snow.  There was a brass band playing on the square, and we heard music from the church as we got to it.  You couldn't get more TV holiday special unless a one-horse open sleigh went by.

So, yes, white Christmas.  And then it snowed some more!  Anywho, onto the part that everyone cares about... the loot:

-New sketchbook
-Star Wars: Lost Tribe of the Sith: The Collected Series
-Writing for Emotion and Impact
-Caribbean Pirates
-Some bath and body stuff
-Cthulhu hand puppet!
-$235 USD(!)

I got a new laptop.  It's a Hewlett-Packard with Windows 8.  The wireless card didn't work right, but after a System Refresh (I still have no idea what the hell it does), the thing is solid as a rock.

I fear avast! may have been to blame...  Which makes me sad, because I use that on my desktop computer with no problems.  I'll have to find new anti-virus software for this computer once my 60-day trial of Norton runs out. (Who knew Norton was back to being decent software?)

I'm not sure why everyone thinks it's so bad.  Once you close the Start Screen, it puts you into a normal Desktop mode.  Then, you can just add Toolbars to the Taskbar regain some regularity to your Desktop. (I currently have my usual Shortcuts series of links as well as a "Fake Start Menu" toolbar.)

Oh, so you can somehow remake it into a normal OS?  It's not stuck as a tablet forever?

Either way, when I get my new laptop... I'm sticking with 7.

Happy Soft Pillow-Snuggling Xmas~

That's all that needs to be said~ :3

I'm sleepy all of a sudden.

Had a fairly sick Christmas, but not an altogether un-magical one:

Not my photos but [tornado fang] it I don't have an iPhone

Pretty quiet otherwise. Was in the middle of reorganizing my desk, because it looked terrible and I got some new mini-drawers. I really just want to redo our entire room (share it with my bro), starting with the closet and ending with a new setup for the TV/game consoles.

I topped the day off with The Rescuers Down Under, which I loved when I was a kid and am still amazed at today. Dat animation, man. Lovable characters, too. Cody's a sweet kid, and just a tunic and sword away from pretty much being Link.

My Christmas was kinda boring compared to last year's with all this "fixing the house I'm moving to" business, but it wasn't too bad. So things I got this year...

2 Angry Birds T-shirts

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles lounging pants

It looks to be my worst Christmas so far. Started out where I didn't get crap, while my little cousins got presents more expensive than about half of the items on my wishlist (actually, there were a total of, what, four presents not for them?). All I got was a few GameStop gift cards that weren't enough to get anything great (aside from a Gamecube controller so guys at the Anime Club can stop blaming the Wiimotes whenever I bring in Brawl) and a Nyko Playpad which refuses to work with my phone or my iPod. This is on top of my own household family's financial crisis: my dad is sick, the money we were supposed to get from a lawsuit got here incredibly late, we're barely scraping by with bills...

On top of that, there's literally no Christmas spirit whatsoever. The rowdy redneck neighbors are gone, so it was relatively quiet on the night of, and since the only real present I got lost its functionality, I literally ended up working Christmas night...

You know, I think I should just go, this is no dumping grounds for [parasitic bomb]...

what

You need a hug.

*Hugs Suppercut*

I've had lousy Christmases like that where my niece and nephews are showered with gifts from my folks, while my brother and I would be forgotten entirely.  It was looking to become a pattern.  But, after a while, the novelty of little cousins wears off.  Things can and will get better.  I noticed that if you include your folks in your interests, they reciprocate.  They learn who you are.

Yeah I can understand that since I've been seeing it for years, though I never really cared much about it since I felt it was natural in my case.

My family on my dad's side of the family is huge, and my brother and I are the youngest of the cousins so everyone else has kids. Considering that there are 8 cousins on my dad's side of the family collectively giving birth to a total of 15 second cousins, minus the ones who live in Arizona, I never really see a end to it.  But I'm fine with it because I can understand that one single family can't afford gifts for every family member and kids are easier to shop for.  Plus I usually get a lot of money anyways, I think I still have the Target card with all the Target Gift cards that I accumulated on one Christmas.

Though I don't really see that in the past couple of years because we kinda stopped having family gatherings, probably because since my Grandma isn't getting any younger traveling from Arizona to California can be tiring.

But I always have my grandparents on my mom's side which is a smaller family with only 2 cousins and 3 second cousins, and I feel closer to them anyway.

Well, the present situation could be understood, but the biggest problem was that it just never really felt like the holidays, and I was in a crap mood to begin with given the financial situation and some personal events.
