This may sound ridiculous, but it actually happened. A couple in Tokyo were apparently married... BY A ROBOT. (It was called the I-Fairy, btw.) The couple wanted to use the robot as they were 'connected with the thriving robotics industry'.

They get a certain percent of money for living expenses from the church. Buuut everything GOES and COMES from the head of the church. So you cant donate to the specific church- or the priest has to send it in, and will only get a small percent. My local parish- the Guy had to fix up the church walls, so he just said if your going to donate, then just HIRE the guy for me.

But yeah. they get paid. Dont think it's much though.
