I wouldn't mind getting in on the Smash action, but no need to waste a code on me if someone else more important to you needs them.

I wouldn't object to one, if any of you are willing to pass one my way.

Everyone who's interested deserves one. If Clefant's willing to share, then perhaps everyone can get one.

Edit: yeah, ask quickie

I have nobody else to give codes to.

They'll just go to waste if I don't give them out.

Drop me a PM. First three get codes.

EDIT: Two to go.

I don't seem to do too bad with the villager, I just wish this demo had a proper training mode,

There is a training mode... sort of.

Just found it out:

"There's a practice mode hidden in the demo, too. From the Smash menu, select Group and set it up with just yourself and CPUs. After selecting the stage, you are dropped onto a different stage with a Homerun bag that you get to practice against as long as you like until you hit L+R to start the real match."

I wouldn't mind getting a code, but I also don't mind waiting a week . At the moment, I'm more interested in listening to game rips. :3

When I played the E3 demo I was having a hard time adjusting to the button layout. But after an hour or so, it feels like second nature. Only thing that kinda bothers me right now is L for grab cause I typically use both shoulder buttons for shield. That issue will be remedied in the full game where I can set it to something else though.

Among the characters, I actually liked using Link and Mega Man the most. Link's smashes are way more effective than in Brawl, and the Clawshot is better. Mega Man takes a little getting used to. Charge Shot needs to be fully charged, it doesn't do enough otherwise. Slash Claw is great, I wish Flame Sword was as good. Only real thing with Mega is I don't like his B moves at all. Metal Blade and Crash Bomb aren't very effective, and I think Leaf Shield is hot garbage. Can't wait to see his custom moves. Villager I couldn't get the hang of, and I never really liked playing as Mario or Pikachu.

What happens in Vegas stays on Youtube. I also stream on Twitch from time to time.

Agreed on the controls.

Also a question: If Mega Man gets a Metal Box and someone else throws a Metal Blade at him, does Metal Mega Man take immense damage?

I had a lot of fun with everybody I played as.

Villager's a bit strange but I feel that could be a useful character if played right.

Megaman's my favorite right now, now that I've gotten a feel for his playstyle.

I've always been decent with Mario, Pikachu I'm alright with and the new tweaks are really nice.

Link got his much needed improvements, I really like the new Running A attack and he actually works well unlike his older incarnations.

Every time I'm up against a Mega Man CPU, I allow them to perform their final smash on me.

It's worth it! XD

Ha, that's an excellent point.  When I play as other characters, I'll need to watch my score/stock closely.

If you got Platinum status last year, I suggest you check your e-mail to see if you reecieved them.
I just checked my email, no luck.  Which kinda boils my Yoshi Eggs a bit, since I've had Platinum status EVERY year.

Yeah, I guess it's more the "intend to buy" survey.

EDITS: And apparently a lot of people believe so, because Club Nintendo JUST NOW came back up from maintenance and already claims to be taking high volumes.  It's behaving accordingly.  >.>

EDITS ONCE AGAIN: And now it's back to site maintenance.  Because of course it is.

Oh well.  Thank you, Clefant, for being so awesome.

So I let my brother try it, and then he decided to fight 3 level 9 CPUs with Link and won.  Now he's playing Shovel Knight.

Mega Man's cool and all, but unfortunately his style just doesn't feel right in Smash. Which sucks, because I really wanted to main him.

I think his style feels fine. It's certainly unique, that's for sure, and I'm actually quite fond of it.

Yeah, there's certainly a steep learning curve with him, but I wouldn't say he feels out of place.

Mega Man seems alright to me, but it's hard to tell because the 3DS's default controls feel so wonky.

It clashes with my N64 instincts.  L should be guard and R should be throw, not the other way around.  And I'd have expected Y for special and B for standard, with X/A for Jump.  Instead it's Y/X for jump (basically matching letters without regard to changing button layout).

The controls themselves are something i'm perfectly fine with button-wise. I can already dodge-dance consistently back and forth. It's the circle pad that's getting under my nerves. A big thumb plus certain other issues ontop of the original 3DS model's circle pad with little space and a much less consistent tilt performance than any of Nintendo's analog joysticks does not feel good at all.

There's your mewtwo in smash 4.

Also chorus kids and ice climbers. They're all with Wolf in the trophy hell.
