Civil War was an event in the Marvel universe where all heroes were forced to register their true identities, Iron Man supported this idea. Others, mainly Captain America (Cause he comes from the 40's and....)fought to stop the law. So Iron Man and Captain America fight each other in one big war which ended in Captain America getting arrested and I forget what happens after that. And while this was going on, Hulk was king of some alien planet.

You don't know what you're missing. Seriously, switching from manga to comics and reading the greats, makes you feel a little bit closer to heaven. Hellblazer, Transmet, The Invisibles, New Gods, Lucifer, Fables... Jesus Christ, there is such a wealth of good stuff I can't believe this world isn't being geeked out by most right now, because comic book fans are a definite minority.

Watchmen isn't even the best comic ever. That honor goes to FLEX MENTALLO.

Most onlike geeks are gamers, otaku, or both. And there's a high percentage they watch anime. From anime to manga, it's a small step.

Last thing I wanna do is insult any manga lover, but seriously, I've NEVER, EVER, EEEVER read a manga that actually made me THINK with its story. That challenged my mind the way comics do.

That's true, I guess. I've heard that comics' plots involve moral dilemmas as opposed to the moral dichotomy bullshit of mangas.

I've read plenty of seinen manga, they all just seem focused on cramming more crap into its storyline, more characters and more [parasitic bomb] happening at the same time for "plot complexity". And when you have a smart character, it's always this incredible bishonen bastard you saw coming a mile away, who ends up monologuing in riddles for hours. Meanwhile, you got simple, but stylishly complex comic plots who require you to think with subtile hints at what will come next, such as Morrison's current run of Batman & Robin.
