Here are some pics. The event was a lot of fun actually. The line wasn't that long, and the majority of people their were decent, and didn't reek of much N.B.O. and other such things which make me never want to go to these types of events. Some funny moments...
-We had a choice whether to do "Fight the Pro" or "Combo Challenge" and Lou asked me which one I was going to pick. Keep in mind, Lou is one of the few who has ever seen me attempt to play Vs. type fighting games, so he knows better than most that I. CANNOT. DO. COMBOS. OH, I'm much better at combos in this game, but really, he should be ashamed of himself for even asking. FOR SHAME, LOU!
-While waiting for the match to start, I had an idea. A brilliant idea, if I do say so myself. You see, I had brought my Street Fighter IV Ryu headband with me, as a spur of the moment thing. So, while waiting online, I tell Lou that what he should do when he gets up to "Fight the Pro" is take out the headband and ARROGANTLY put it on as he walks up. Sadly, he didn't do it. Again, FOR SHAME LOU! On the plus side, I'm happy I brought it as I got it signed by S-Kill, who is really a nice guy.
-After getting the pic with Sato & S-Kill, I shamelessly self promote RPM to him, to which he replied, "Oh yes, I like that site. Nice to have you here." Again, I can't stress enough how nice S-Kill was to us and everyone there. Sadly, he said there's little chance of me seeing a Blues-only game. So sad.
However, he did say that X9 & Power Stone 3 are definitely among the most wanted Capcom games right now. Probably in the top 4.
-Thanx to a button malfunction on Lou's end, I now have another Vs. series thing which I will never let him live down!
Some personal notes from playing this so far...
-I LOVE USING TEKNOMAN!
-I do miss the character based themes in the game. HOWEVER, the fact that the Orbital Space Ring's stage theme is CLEARLY
Better Off Alone by Alice Deejay makes up for everything!
I shall post more later, probably when I get home and Lou and I try out the WiFi.
