It's the version that's going to be played as EVO, I think that should say something.
You'd think so, but even that much is still iffy.
After all, EVO is still a platform that is used to try and promote/sell products, just as much as it is a gathering for the FG scene's best and most curleh mustache'd to gather.
So, in other words, the version being at EVO is simply a clear indicator by Capcom to try and sell the game to the hardcore crowd, as well as possibly best see if the game is viable. Whether or not that means it's a "remixed" version of the game, or just a port of either the Naomi/DC or Xbox/PS2 ports, is something that will just have to remain to be seen.
Personally, I'd still rather they make Hanna Barbera vs. Capcom, but I digress!
Well, given how there's plans to make what basically is a "Marvel X Tatsunoko" anime in two years, I'm sure there's plenty of love to be had for Vs. in the future. Capcom's likely just making sure the Capcom and Tatsunoko sides are built up, until Marvel can come into the equation later...
