This is a Capcom Unity thread. I bring it back here~ (http://www.capcom-unity.com/ask_capcom/go/thread/view/7371/5051879/Mega_Man_9_Mystery)

Quote from: Zepper2. Could someone confirm that BJ and BC are BluesJet and BluesCoil, please? Anyone with a japanese version would confirm this question easily.

It's not a weapon. But is it a coil/jet!?

Does this particular person at Capcom have stated when he is about to reveal the secret to the fans?

Well the consensus on the Capcom Unity board seems to be that it's something that you unlock after a certain amount of time or beating the game a certain number of times.

I really doubt that, though.

So again, 3 last theories:

1. Remember how the NES had the B, A, Start, and Select buttons? Possibly a code, there, when you see Bass' blueprints. That doesn't mean you GET Bass, just means it might be wanting a related input.

2. It's a secret input in the vein of the Hadouken/Shoryuken in Mega Man X and X2, perhaps unlocked after some excruciating dying or repetitive method that you couldn't possibly know unless you had a hand in making the game or had an unreasonable amount of luck.

3. It's a fake set of spikes hiding a room or tunnel.

When you're at any forum, there'll be text under the bottom right corner of the List of Topics that says "Forum Preferences".

Click that, and you can change how many appear, the order, your sig, and whether to hide sigs or not.

Odd, you'd think you'd be able to do that from the profile.

Well, here is what we know so far about the undiscovered secret:

Original topic:
http://www.capcom-unity.com/ask_capcom/go/thread/view/7371/5051879/Mega_Man_9_Mystery

Quotes by Capcom Staff/Mods:
Quote from: s-killThere's only one undiscovered Mega Man 9 secret that I know about, and this ain't it. Smile

So no, no secret weapons hidden in there!

best,

Seth

Quote from: s-killNo dice, I'm not revealing it here just yet.  And go nuts--I don't predict anyone will discover this one for quite a while yet...

Tongue out

best,

Seth

Quote from: s-killHey guys,

Rather than being some kind of insidious plan to torture the MM faithful, this all began as an offhand comment I made addressing a question about a secret weapon.  I responded honestly and in good faith saying there wasn't any (so far as I know, which is pretty far), and that there was only one undiscovered MM9 secret that I knew about.  The next day there are a bunch of headlines saying "ZOMG MM9 SEEKRITS POSSIBLE NEW WEAPON!"  This, despite that being exactly what I said it was NOT.  Much of the speculation has continued to circulate around that possibility, which is a little nuts, since yeah--I said it was NOT a secret weapon.

Now that fans have failed to discover the secret weapon that I said as clearly as possible does not exist, people have given up, preferring to think it's a hoax rather than accept the possibility there's something they might not have found (after what--a week of looking?).  I understand that urge--it's certainly easier to think that.  Unfortunately (or, I should say, fortunately), this is no hoax--if it was, I would have been a) having more fun with it b) coming up with some more interesting teases, as there are certainly some good launching pads for speculation.

That said, I have no plans to reveal this little nugget.  Eventually someone will ferret it out, and if they do, I'll step up and say "yep, that was it!"  Until then, no way, and as I said, I doubt anyone will come up with it for quite some time.  If they do, my hat is off to them, and I'll find something worthwhile to share by way of a prize.

As an aside, I'd like to note that I have played SSF2T pretty much constantly for the past 15 years with the best players in the world, analyzed every aspect down to the lines of code and beyond, and I still learn new things about it regularly.  I regard this as a good thing. You guys on the other hand heard about one MM9 thing you haven't uncovered yet and are falling all over yourselves because you haven't unearthed it after just a week.  A note of restraint is in order.  Sit back, enjoy MM9, and eventually someone will get it.  Until then, you aren't going to be getting it out of me.

evilly, I guess...

Seth

Perhaps what he's saying, is that it isn't anything you can find in a level, but something you get for playing the game for a unholy amount of time?

Like beating the game for the 100th time?  8D

Something tells me it's a bunch of crap. He does realize that this is the freakin' Mega Man community, and that it's everyone as a collective and group, not just a single person. The odds of 100+ people not discovering something are pretty low. About the only thing I can possibly come up with is a 'special ending' if you have all of the achievements, beaten the special modes (all of them), and gotten an insane amount of screens on the never ending mode.
Title: Re: Mega Man 9's secret?
Post by: Gauntlet101010 on November 10, 2008, 06:30:46 PM
If it was that then Vixy woulda found that secret ending now.

It seems like a hoax to me.  Because it could be ANYTHING.  A month from now someone could have done any kind of glitch and he could be "oh yeah, that was it".  Or it could be any number of unused sprites, because THAT'S a secret too. Or it could be a bit of missed graphics (like Astroman's graphic in Springman's level).

Personally, I refuse to look into it.  The LAST time I was told a rumor like this, it was that CutMan was in MM7.  Lou and I spent months looking for that, combing every inch of the game, only to find out that it was a typo.  LoL, so count me out.  If it's there, great.  If not, no big loss.

Not really.  There's still background tiles to rip and Fake Man's sprites to sift through.  They ripped all the main things tho.  There's any number of unused things he could be talking about.

He's pointing to a new game and shouting "I KNOW SOMETHING YOU DON'T!"  It's possible, but ... it seems likely that he's full of BS.  Does this guy regularily find hidden things?

And Cutman IS in MM7.  The newspaper at the very beginning.  The rumor comes from Mandi's site and she confirmed it long ago.

That's why things like this are BS.

Mandi said it as soemthing of a joke and people blew it out of proportion.  She just listed MM7 as a Cutman appearance and people took it to mean that you got to fight him.  That was a mistake on their part, but the roots of that rumor was the newspaper article at the very beginning.

Yeah, I knew of the Newspaper article and such, since it was right there.  However, the info that I remember reading was from some gaming magazine or something, that said you got to fight CutMan, when it turns out they actually meant GutsMan.

It could possibly be accessed after seeing every cutscene variation.

Each of the 8 RMs missing once after you've beaten them, Roll with and without the MM8 outfit, and does beating the game as Helmetless Megaman change that end scene?

Nope.  Rock isn't even helmetless when speaking to Wily.  The only thing beating the game helmetless changes is that Rock will be helmetless when firing the "Produced by Capcom" letters.  That's it.

I'm sure SOMEONE out there has seen all cutscene variations by now.  I'm not losing sleep over this one, it'll come when it comes.

Just pondering: Does it have anything to do with the "ink?" The stuff that is sprayed onto you in Splash's stage?

Title: Re: Mega Man 9's secret?
Post by: Flok on November 11, 2008, 01:51:06 PM
If you pause the game, the ink will be gone though. The ink can also be obtained in Wily's 2nd level. I have no clue as to what to do when you are a black Mega Man though. Try all the weapons, die to every possible spike etc. .

It's definitely the 'Hot E-Tank Mod' they left in, and are waiting to see if anyone else besides me could crack it. When battling Splash Woman, she will offer you an E-Tank if you enter her chamber with one bar of life, 6 E-Tanks and 9 lives. The scene will automatically move to Plug Man's stage where he will plug himself into an outlet in his boss room. A special cutscene video ensues on the jumbotron involving Rock and Splashy. Didn't you guys wonder why the screen was always fuzzy?

AO-lawsuits will ensue, but Capcom doesn't care because they need the pub. Yet they will make more money from horny nerds buying the game, wanting to see this secret, that Legends 3 is fully funded through it. Go try it out.

Hmm, the order you play through levels might make a difference.  In addition to ending on a different level each time, you could try going in reverse weakness order (so you'll only have the correct weapon for the 8th Robot Master), alphabetical order, numerical order of "creation", or anything crazy like that.  I admit we'll probably never test all 40320 orders of level completion unless we divide up the work among a lot of people, and even then, how do we know there isn't some other condition to fulfill along with that particular order?

And hey, has anyone ever tried just collecting screws and dying over and over at the beginning of the game in order to fill up on items before even completing the first level?   8D

Done ages ago with a 999-screw New Game Plus.  Would you expect any less from he who collected everything in X6 as both characters without beating a single boss?

Now, max items AND 999 screws without beating a boss, that I haven't tried.  Although I don't think that's technically possible unless you forego the hair style book.

My strategy was:
Get the two screws in HornetMan's Stage until I have enough to buy 9 E-Tanks. Then beat JewelMan. Then go back to HornetMan's stage and in the group of Missile Silo Pots near the end, stand in a spot so two Pots are attacking you, turn on Jewel Sat., then bake a cake or watch TV.

If this is it, then it's a totally lame secret.

On a similar note, it reminds me of the trick where you can knock yourself under the floor of Concreteman's boss rooom ... and subsequently dying  by falling intot hat pit.  It was in some demo of the game (can't remember who posted the vid).

This isn't Capcom, this is some higher-up at the Capcom Unity forums.

I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss it. He's not just some nobody exactly, his name does appear in the credits of the game, even though it's nothing to do with the programming or making of it. Being part of the company does give him a unique vantage point to have been informed or discovered whatever this secret is. And I have no problem believing that there is still something about the game we have yet to discover. Or even many somethings.

That said, I greatly doubt that this secret he has in mind is anything earth-shatteringly amazing. I don't expect a secret boss or new mode or amazing contra code that gives you items during time attack runs. I'm thinking this thing is probably something small along the lines of "Oh, hey, that's a kinda neat little easter egg there."

The thing is, this secret all hinges on what this S-Kill guy thinks we know.  So if we do know the secret and he doesn't know that we know then he would still be saying there's a secret.

That is, if he isn't full of it.  Which he might be.

I got that feeling too.
It also appears in a Wily Stage and in the Special Stage, so it may or may not have a secret behind it.
But that rotating flower arm, the way the platforms are set up, it all seems like an elaborate clock puzzle.

Huh? I thought you could still get hit by the spikes after beating him. Several times, I fought Tornado Man last and Rush Coiled into the blue chippy thing he drops, which resulted in me hitting the spikes and blowing up. Unless you mean post-victory tune.

Either way, he's either invincible during the "weapon get" jump or he magically stops right before touching the spikes.

The moment you defeat the boss (they explode), right after that, Rock is invincible.
The game is programmed like that.
If you tried Rush Coiling after already beating the stage before, it would be interesting. ^^

IF it does have something to do with the clock-flower-things perhaps you would have to get them to stop at the time Megaman 9 was released or something along those lines, kinda like how Dr. Wily's Swiss bank number is the release date for the first Rockman game.
This is merely conjecture on my part.

S-Kill said it was something to be noticed while playing the game, and nothing that is unlocked. It is also nothing huge like a new secret weapon or anything. This is a list of things that has been confirmed to not be it.

Quote1 Buy Roll costume and she'll appear wearing it during the ending.

2 Buy the Book of Hairstyles before beating the first boss. Beat any boss and during the cutscene, MegaMan will put the helmet and pulse out, even if you're not using it.

3 A blueprint of Bass (Forte) appears flashing during the ending.

4 There's a blue "E" much like an optical illusion due to the tile arrangement in TornadoMan' stage - it's an hint for the hidden E tank behind the clouds.

5 Dr.Wily's machine (final boss) is a reference/cameo to the boss SlashMan, from MegaMan7 - from its form (dinosaur) and its eggs.

6 When you beat the last boss, the cutscene is a view from that last boss perspective - that's why you don't see it in the group.

7 The game doesn't finish while MegaMan doesn't collect the circuit board dropped by Dr.Wily.

8 The endless challenge brings pieces of old MegaMan stages, many of them from MegaMan2.

9 The game is rendered in low resolution and upscaled - all the graphics are in low resolution, much like the old NES graphics.

10 The empty slot in Weapons Menu isn't for an hidden weapon.

11 I'm kicking the things with this, and many of you might disagree - a lot of tunes resemble other tunes. The stage select resembles SnakeMan' stage; the main title bgm resembles the "select your team" from the game Goal! (NES); (this one is ok) the ending theme is a remake of MegaMan2' stage select.

12 Splash Woman is a man - beat this boss by last and Auto will make a mention as "his" circuit board.

13 As far as I can tell you, there's NO old bosses cameos, or else their sprites would be found, much like those unused ones (Skater green guy and a Flying cat-like unused sprites).

14 Wily Castle stage 3 (or 2?) is the first one to have left-walking/scroll.

15 Those Yellow/Green Eyes is a "cameo" of Yellow Devil, from MegaMan1.

16 The Mystery Tank fills up the weapons exactly like MegaMan5 - one after another.

17 You cannot carry more than 1 M tank, even if there's one collectable during the Wily's Castle stages.

18 The HardHats (or Metools) are from MegaMan1.

19 When you defeat TornadoMan, MegaMan does a jump and touches the spikes in the top, but nothing happens.

20 Is that Shark boss a cameo from Rockman.EXE series SharkMan?

21 Blues use a Jet and a Coil. The Jet is much like item-2 (MM2) and the coil acts much like the Rush Coil of MegaMan5.

22 The sprites rip of MegaMan/Blues reveals a throwing animation (unused).

23 (another kick) The boss theme is similar to MegaMan3 boss music, but the notes go down instead of up, a good remix.

24 The "You Got Weapon" screen is similar to MegaMan5, except that MegaMan doesn't spin, but spreads his arms and flashes.

25 All the MegaMan cast (except bosses) appears in the Leaderboards screen.

26 JevelMan stage has MM2 Woodman stage elements (the floor, the miniboss doors), as well as PlugMan stage has CrashMan elements (pipes) and HeatMan elements (pop blocks). MagmaMan stage looks like MetalMan stage by its colors (green and red).

27 You cannot take the M tank effect during a boss battle, like the bees from HornetMan or the fishes from SplashWoman (all the enemies will NOT turn 1ups).

28 Blues (Protoman) takes more damage than MegaMan, and he's pushed back longer.

29 GalaxyMan changes his color, much like a chameleon.

30 JevelMan mimics MegaMan jumps and his attack is similar to SkullMan (MM4).

31 The MM9 intro seems to have been based on MegaMan' Soccer intro (the TV news, the colors and the reporter).

32 I was waiting for bees during the HornetMan' stage, but it's a garden within flower pots and scissors, plus a strange yo-yo style platform. No bees, only during the boss battle.

33. If you use the M-Tank while all of your weapons and life are full, all on-screen enemies turn into 1-UPS. (Doesn't work on bosses, mini-bosses, or the cannons in Hornet Man's stage.)

34. Bringing up the Weapon Select Screen while any weapons are currently being fired, and they will be erased. This glitch actually works to your advantage with long lasting Weapons such as the Black Hole Bomb and Tornado Blow against bosses who are weak against them such as the second phaze of the Shark Boss, Magma Man, Jewel Man and the Twin Devils respectively if you can time it right. Quite the essential for speedruns. This glitch also causes Rush to disappear when used as well.

35. This video. (Watch the fight against Concrete Man at the end)

36. Use the Tornado Blow underwater to jump crazy high. You can also preform crazy high jumps if Tornado Blow is timed correctly with Rush Coil.

37. If you use Rush Coil, then quckly switch the Rush Jet while your rocketing up in the air, land on Rush Jet when you fall to gain a high vantage point for crossing over areas. (Notably Tornado Man's Stage)

38. Mega Man clones die when they touch spikes.

39. Use Jewel Satelitte near the end where the Tellys come out in Plug Man's stage for an easy supply of Bolts. If you position Mega Man properly with the Jewel Satellite (try directly underneath where they spawn), you can accumulate Bolts without having to move; just leave Mega standing there while you go do something else, then come back after some time has passed and you'll have a bunch of more Bolts, without having to do a thing.

40. When you use the Concrete Shot to freeze any magma beams, use the Laser Trident to break them apart, shortening the time it would take to wait for them to stop spewing the magma. This is helpful for speedruns.

41. The Hornet Chaser can pick up any items, except E-Tank/M-Tanks.

42. If you're low on weapon energy by Wily Stage 3, first you must have an M-Tank. Use the M-Tank you have, then snag the one you find at the second gravity section. Now your weapons are full, and you have another M-Tank!

43. Black Hole Bomb and Tornado Blow can eliminate enemy shots, even Dr Wily's.

44. There's a hidden Life Capsule in Wily Stage 2 at the end where the Dr. W logo is. Use Hornet Chaser to snag it.

45. Bring up the weapon select screen  to remove oil if you're covered. Bring up the Challenge list screen does not remove oil.

46. Beat the game with a helmet-less Mega Man.....and absolutely nothing will happen!

47. Tornado Man and Splash Woman are similar to Harpuia and Leviathan from Mega Man Zero. (Which stands to reason, since Mega Man 9 was created by Inti Creates, just like the Zero Series .)

48. The Controller 2 debug techniques from Mega Man 3 DO NOT work in Mega Man 9.

49. Chun-Li is the newsreporter at the game's intro.

50. Dr. Wily's Swiss Bank Account Number is the original release date for Mega Man 1. 19-871-217

After that list was posted S-Kill replied with this:

QuoteGreat list--I learned a few tricks I didn't know about myself.  That said, what I've been referring to this entire time is not on the list.

I'm still not telling, but just in terms of relative scale of significance, as a fan I'd say my tidbit is definitely more interesting than some of the entries on this list, while less interesting than at least half.

best,

Seth

Other things have been posted since then, but S-Kill has not replied since then.

I keep thinking it has to be something in Galaxy Man's stage. He gave that one-liner about it not being something that powers up a ..."screen-filling Black Hole Bomb," saying it was a subtle thing you might not notice while playing. Then recently the Unity forums have that Galaxy Man stage background that came out of nowhere for no real reason. The other game forums have nice art for the image and every Megaman section has that screencap? Personally, I think he's subtly hinting at things while still saying nothing. But then again, he also said he learned things from that list instead of mocking major reaches like "Galaxy Man changes colors!" So, you know... 8D

I personally have wondered if there's something about the alignment or patterns of the stars in some certain section. But I've never put two and two together, so it's just my crackpot theory.

I don't think that the background means anything. They just put up art for the background of most sections, they probably wanted to show something from Mega Man 9.

I'm thinking it could be just as obscure as a musical easter egg. Much like Kazumi Totaka's (uhhh what's the word I'm looking for) 19 notes.

S-Kill did say it was an easter egg. So maybe there is someone who works at Capcom who is trying to follow in his footsteps. Maybe there is a certain point of the game where you have to wait for a certain amount of time to make whatever happen, to happen. :)

the fact that those colors look like the MM1 boxart must be coincidence.

also, the blue and yellow color scheme has been used long before now. Thunder Striker uses the same colors, as does Thunder Beam in Powered Up. Ice Wave looks kinda similar, just a lighter shade of blue. Flash Bomb and Astro Crush also look like that, albeit greener.

those colors in MM8 suck. if you're not paying attention to the weapon icon, you can't tell the difference between Astro Crush and Flash Bomb.

You know.... I wonder..... I know the metal blade thing is a clue one of the robot masters drops when destroyed. But is it possible that Capcom was going to use it as a weapon, but dropped it? In MM2 Megaman used the arm throw sprie for the Metal Blade. Capcom already said somewhere the secret is not a weapon. But maybe it's more of a case in point. Maybe someone could hack Mega Man 9 to make the player use the arm throw sprite, and throw the metal blade icon that the boss drops when destroyed to make it seem like a weapon, which in reality is not?
And I doubt it has anything to do with Jewel Man.......

The other thing I had in mind is the first few notes in 2 songs. The stage select screen, and Wily Castle Stage 2 "We're the Robots" are the EXACT same notes at the beginning.

You don't have to be nerdy to be obsessive.  I consider sports fans who can rattle off stats from every player on their favorite team in the same vein as people who must rip (or have) every single bit of sprite data from a MM game.  Or people who follow all traces of their favorite celebrity.

Still, some franchises attract less obsessive people than others.

Even if these were hidden in game some how, wouldn't they be found in the dumped sprites/graphics area?

If it has ANYTHING to do with graphics (signatures, unused robots, unused sprites, etc.) they could somehow be found inside the files of the wad after dumping.
If memory serves, there were a few people who already dumped the files, and found nothing of the sort except a skate boarder robot.

Skater bot, a flying / falling squirrel, and more Fakeman and Protoman sprites than strictly nessasary, if you wanna list all of them.  None of them were it, though.  This seems like a stupid little trick that's happened upon.

week old bump

I'm not sure as to all of the secrets that have been discovered just yet (a post in the link on the front page makes a mention of a good chunk), but I figured why not take a different route. Does the release date of the game in Japan/America on the Wii/PS3/360 have something to do with a character in game? If Dr. Wily's swiss account is the release date of MM1, couldn't something like that happen in reverse, like the release date be the month and day one of the characters was born? Someone also mentioned something about the music in the game and how some of them sound like others. As I thought about this, Splash Woman's stage has some parts that sound like part of the theme of Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers, and Capcom just happens to be the company that made the Rescue Rangers game. What if the secret is more of a reference to a previous Capcom work? I mean, MMX 1 and 2 have moves from Street Fighter, MM7 has some references to Ghosts 'n Goblins, and Legends 2 has a few references like where you can see a MMX comic and a 'show' of the Classic series.

(removed topic I made due to someone pointing this thread out ><)

Just the same as above, it's going to take ANOTHER 25 years for someone to find an easter egg like this in Mega Man 9. I'd say it's going to be something a lot like this, where we have to do something SO SPECIFIC that it sets off Capcom's staff members initials to appear.

Also, Seth is still teasING AS usual I see. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BshtVm0NzoQ) (X_X)

Well I'm going to throw it out there because it's been eating at me, but Jewel Man's theme sounds a lot like the chorus line from "Love Her Madly," by The Doors.  Or at least reminds me of it.  I'm sure this can't possibly be it, but since we're talking about similar theme music anyway I thought it good to put that out there.
Title: Re: Mega Man 9's secret?
Post by: Pringer X on July 21, 2009, 07:58:28 PM
I honestly think the dude is just !@#$ing with us. I mean, think about it; the majority of the easter eggs found within recent years is because technology has advanced enough to let every day users see the coding used in the game, and even manipulate it. When you have an entire community of fans ripping through the data on a game, odds are every secret is going to be revealed. That, and every trick in the book has been tried out. The M tank trick, a lot of details about the music, several things the weapons can do outside of their regular functions, Forte at the end of the game. We know every sprite that's been used in the game, so if there was some hidden image in them, we probably would have found it by now. The numbers in the game also have been discovered to be the release date of the first Mega Man game. As far as boss' damage goes, we already know how much damage they take from it, and even the tornado being used against the sub's second form dealing two hits worth of damage.

I mean, what else is left? Hidden areas containing life ups or tanks? That's about the best I can come up with.

Please don't tell me this is what we were looking for. If this is the supposed secret.... Everyone sees this during all the cut scenes in MM9. So I can't really say it's a secret there. (http://protodudesrockmancorner.blogspot.com/2009/07/interesting-mega-man-9-find.html)

I'll admit that I didn't know that. Just because you always see that doesn't mean that what it is couldn't be the secret, remember he said it was nothing special.

one of the secrets that I know is about that -Sigma- thing in Megaman 9.

when you put -Sigma- as your player name, it says something about innapropriatae langage. I don't know if this one was known before or anything, just pointing this out.

Yeah, but they say that only the letters "GM" are actually censored.  So perhaps they don't want people to call themselves Game Master?  Or do they have something against General Motors?

H: One of my offspring is over at Capcom boards providing a teaser about this but the secret does not involve the Megaman series at all. It doesn't even involve Capcom. The easter is actually a nod to Sonic and Megaman's friendship as seen in an old pic of them shaking hands in a magazine. In Jewelman's stage you will see both the old and new versions of chaos emeralds as well as the swinging platforms from the Marble Zone. The Magma Beams in Magmaman's stage are like the falling lava in Marble Zone and Lava Reef Zone.

There is also the Megaman 6 Earth at the beginning of Galaxyman's stage.

Think about it this way though: 26 years ago, we didn't have the same kind of technology that we do now. Nowadays, we're able to rip apart a game's database and find out pretty much everything. That was pretty much the same case with Donkey Kong on the 2600. No one could have found that out because what was needed to crack it wasn't found out until recently due to the technology we have and the game being lost in the sea of time.

The value of the secret itself does not dictate how cool of a secret it is. It's combination of how well-hidden it is & how cool the secret itself is. Though, when the secret becomes disappointing enough, the entire easter egg becomes multitudes cooler because of awesome troll.

They don't really look similar.  Even the capsules.  Meanwhile the MM4 link with Light's lab looks extremely similar.

Then again, there's nothing saying it has to be a good easter egg.  So it's possible.

I still think it's a weapon to fill that empty slot.

Prolly one of the bases they didn't cover with the other weapons, like Time stopping/slowing or a boomerang.

Considering that Magman, Splash and Tornado look like Fefnir/Leviathon and Harupia respectivley, my guess is that Phantom is in the game, and gives you the sheild boomerang weapon.....

Not really...

I was being deliberately ignorant & used the term China Men, which does not exclusively apply to the Chinese.

But while we're talking about the Chinese, isn't it strange that everything manufactured there says China instead of The People's Republic of China or some form of abbreviation for such? I mean, you'd think with the way the Chinese government operates that they'd love perpetuating their nice sounding name all around the world.

Asking about a secret which nobody yet found in a game direct from the authors is not different than asking Rodney Alan Greenblat about how it looks like behind Parappa´s hat. Instead of creators replying, what you get is normally a joke. Ah, sorry if this topic should not get more replies. Last one was from the end of october.

I'm tempted to buy a few cheap parts to make what's left of this PC after I upgrade it to make a dedicated PC next to my Wii for a debugger. I have a feeling I'll be playing a lot more Brawl and Zelda after that.

4th.) If I knew what a necropost was, I would... retaliate??

5th) I'm not trying to make a thread for something minor for everyone (not for me though) but this seems where it belongs since it could very well be something related.

Long story short, I was attempting to do a perfect run and the game and when the credits roll it looped to the intro immediately. I Didn't get the challenge completed which was strange but my file was no where to be found and it said...... 0 finally. Restarting the PS3 had no avail so now I'm wondering what happened. I doubt this has happened to anyone but I do think there was something maybe relevant(or not) that it's worth noting. That and the fact your fellow comrade has had his precious achievements taken away.  :(

Wow. So far, I'm amazed that even now, this secret STILL hasn't been found, but whatever. As for me, I honestly couldn't care less about this secret. I've stopped caring a long time ago, once I found out that it had nothing to do with Bass and Treble (since at the time, I had a small glimmer[sp?] of hope that Bass was a hidden playable character), as well as the fact that Seth Killian, himself, said that it was something patheically minor. So, in other words, it's dead to me now.
