HELLO TRAINER
WELCOME TO THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF POKEMON
Ahem, so leaks have started to circulating, and well, I guess it's time to officially christened the Generation VII thread. From now on, ALL new news/leaks/whatever about Sun/Moon will be posted/discussed here. The Gen6 thread will be left for purely the Gen6 games.
SO AS I WAS SAYING
Leaks have started appearing, seemingly showing the protags, the Starters, and the cover Legendaries.

WELCOME TO THE ALOLA REGION
The setting for Gen7. A person named Hala will let you choose your Starter Pokemon (appears in both videos). Perhaps he is this region's Professor?

CHOOSE YOUR STARTER:
Grass/Flying Rowlet
It knows a new Grass-type move, Leafage (most likely shown in the first video).

I like the Water starter. Might go with that. Grabbing the male protag and naming him Sue.
And I'm getting an Alpine vibe off of these guys.
I like the Grass one myself. SO CUDDLY
And yea, the region is in the background in the first pic... And indeed it seems to be contained within mountaion ranges.
Also... They mentioned the Kalos Starters.
... Perhaps, a repeat of Kalos, with 2 Starters?
The player characters seem older than the previous generations (about 17-19-years-old) too. I wonder which part of the world Gen VII is gonna take place. The fire starter sorta of looks like a koala considering we already have a grizzly, panda, and polar bear.
I'm gonna name it Nom-Nom.
Oooh, yeah, looking at them again, they do have an Aussie vibe. That would make sense with the croc, too. Maybe we'll have a region Down Under?
To be honest... Still looks like a generic bear cub for now. XD
Speculation is strong that this region is based on Hawaii, second is Spain. And some even said Singapore because of the hotel's resemblance to our Raffles hotel. 8D

Kind of odd how we got a goat grass starter with Gogoat from the previous generation but I'm not complaining. Also seems the Fire type Chinese Zodiac cycle has been broken since there are no bears right? Lizard Water Starter is interesting, however I'm torn with the grass and fire starter. I'll have to wait until I see other grass and fire types before commiting to one.
I love how the trainers look, though it seems like Moon Moon is not the Legendary for Moon.
Yea, no bears in the Chinese Zodiac.
Then again, there wasn't any foxes in there indeed. XD
We took that as the dog in the Zodiac like we took Cyndaquil as the rat.
LIES
LIES AND SLANDER
Lies because fox, flaming hedgehog, and salamander.
Yeah like I said Cyndaquil was already a stretch.
But yeah since Foxes are related to dogs that's why people saw Fennekin as the Dog of the Chinese Zodiac Fire Starters.
Quote from: Quickman on March 11, 2016, 04:31:27 PM

Charmander was the Dragon to that theory. Also Cyndaquil is more Echinda and Shrew like and eventually gets Badger like as they eveolve.......oh my god Pyre Heart has 4 dicks.
Four-headed dick. 8D
And Charmander was based off of the Greek salamander. Those were born of fire. They weren't dragons.
Yeah but people ignored that when they started seeing the 'trend'. Besides Charizard is sure as hell dragon like Salamander origins or no, so is it any wonder why they would think dragons?
And eleven posts in and we're talking about dicks. New record? 8D
PB would be proud. Related to that thought if we get a Mega Castform would it be more phallic? In the 2D games they look like boobs while in 3D games they look like sentient truck nuts.
http://kotaku.com/new-pokemon-game-new-fake-magazine-scans-1764243068 (http://kotaku.com/new-pokemon-game-new-fake-magazine-scans-1764243068)
You guys might want to be a bit more wary just in case the scans are fake, especially remembering the fake Gen 5 scans with similar fake starters.
To be honest the Grass goat, again strange since we had Gogoat the previous gen, was what really made me suspicious before I saw this, but we'll see.
Hence I sorta have the disclaimer to speculate.
I never said they are confirmed, but darn if they are. XD
Either way, CoroCoro scans will be out soonish, I think. Might as well have a thread ready. 8D
Yeah I know, hench why I said we'll see if there is a grain of truth in this.
Still hoping for a Wolf Legendary for Moon so I can name them Moon Moon.
That, and we have dicks 11 posts in. WOOT
Yeah, anyway so far the Corocoro leaks so far have info on Volcanion so I imagine if there is Sun and Moon info it will be brief.
This looks....kinda interesting, but I personally can't help but feel some of the magic dies with every new gen.
I mean, they could at least give us the option of doing things a little differently this time around. I spent most of my time on X feeling like I was being railroaded into things instead of discovering them.
Yeah while I didn't feel it as bad as Black and White the railroading was a bit much even then.
I also really hope Sun and Moon gets better pacing compared to X and Y, the gap between the 1 and second gym was ridiculous and the Team Flare plot at the end just fell apart. Seriously 2 dungeons at the end of the Flare plot back to back, what the hell was the point? We should have just went to Geosenge at the end and do the Lumiose base after taking on Clemont or hell maybe even during the part when we were fixing the Power Plant. That would fix half the pacing issues at least.
But yeah I would like to explore more, I mean I know it's never going to be as open as Gens 1 and 2 but I would at least like a Sinnoh like game in terms of exploring/railroading. I mean as cool as choosing what gym to do next was in terms of Saffron/Fushia and Olivine and Cianwood/Mahogany I prefer having actual gym progression in strength than sweeping the other because certain gyms have certain similar levels due to non linearity.
Or if they had something like that the Gym Leaders would scale and become harder depending on if you took one first over the other. That would have been great.
Also for the love of god less friends and a better rival would be nice. I like Shauna, but Trevor and especially freaking Tierno were pretty pointless, especially since we only battled each twice. We could have had more Shauna battles instead of a boss gauntlet at the end, I mean I would have loved that. Hell none of them even had a full team, at the end they each only had 3 Pokemon, that's just ridiculous!
But Calem and Serena were just boring, I mean being aloof was kind of okay, but it wasn't executed that well. Characterization was all over the place, they were just boring 'Ace' and 'Leader' characters that didn't really do much to earn that beside from the fact that the new chacters just moved to Kalos, so by default they would be that 'Leader'.
I don't mind not having a jerk rival like Blue and Silver, and I actually like Brendan/May and Wally, especially the ORAS versions, Barry, Cheren, Bianca, arguably N, and Hugh because they were good characters and each of them had amazing growth as characters, though I felt Cheren's could had had better writing and execution because he just felt odd to me, but it could be that I like Bianca and N better. But Serena/Calem were easily the worst rivals ever.
I mean X and Y, and Gen 6 overall, did a lot of amazing and awesome things, but it also did some pretty lackluster things too in many areas. I mean it's not as bad as my least favorites like the Kanto games, Gen 2 Johto, and certain parts of Sinnoh, but it is middle of the road in terms of good and bad.
Sorry for the rant, especially since I'm pretty sure I already said a lot of this before.
Did someone mention [ray splasher]s?? 8D
Also, are those scans real?
Most likely not due to various reasons pointed out in the Kotaku article and the comments including the protags not matching the artstyle of previous protags, protags having the exact same hat (even Hilbert and Hilda had different colored hats) the grass goat Pokemon despite Gogoat existing and being a previous Gen Pokemon, the Croc being to like Totodile and the Sandile family, and the Japanese inconsistencies for Corocoro.
It always happens when they don't reveal the starters right away like X and Y. So yeah it's a false alarm, lets see if the real Fire Starter still falls into the Chinese Zodiac 'theme' theory. I mean even with the inconsistencies of the theory it's one hell of coincidence that the Fire Starters still fall into that theme even if it isn't exact.
Anyone else besides me getting a bit of Jibanyan (who's also a Fire type yokai in Yo-kai Watch oddly enough) vibes from the Fire starter, at least in the way it's face is designed?
Nah the fake Fire Starter doesn't seem Jibayanish to me, it needs more tails.
Holy [parasitic bomb]! New thread! I declare this generation officially open! *shoots Dr. Wily II in the head with a nerf missile*
Also, one thing about the fake leaks that I liked is the older protagonists. This was discussed in the old thread, but I think it would be interesting to have older protagonists and have a deeper character-driven story this time around. We don't necessarily have to save the world every single game. I mean, we didn't in RBY or in GSC. Yeah, we stopped Team Rocket, but that hardly compares to stopping the oceans and all life being roasted in the sun (Omega Ruby).
Changing the motivations of the protagonists doesn't necessarily mean that he formula has to radically change, either. Instead of being some kid who just falls into being a trainer just because. Maybe this time you choose the starter from the introduction scene and it's a Pokemon you've had since you were a kid, but you never trained it. But then something happens and you're forced into battling with it and that's how you decide to be a trainer.
I still really like the idea of starting a Pokemon game as an ex-PokeMart or Pokemon Center employee who gets fired for some reason. You become a trainer not because of some idealistic attitude, but because you have no other choice. You could play as a cynical person for the first time who learns to love and cherish his/her Pokemon through experience, as opposed to always fighting against cynical people as a bright-eyed goody-goody.
None of these ideas have much potential toward kids, though. I mean, something can be said about teaching kids that even cynical people can change. They're not always horrible people, which seems to be the message in nearly every Pokemon game--except WB/W2B2.
Yeah I certainly would like idea very much, but unfortunately since the player is supposed to represent you more or less it most likely won't happen in a main series game.
However that being said that idea is why I can appreciate the Colosseum games a lot since it does use that idea, especially the first game since Wes is an ex Snagem member. Micheal while not as interesting is also pretty cool, he has personal reasons for doing what he does because not only is it the right thing to do to defeat Cipher and save the Shadow Pokemon, but because he wants to make sure his Mom's project and Dad's dying wish is fulfilled.
It's just too bad it was in a game that is kind of not very popular due to the Double Battle mechanics and limits on Pokemon to use, but darn if they aren't interesting.
Nevermind all that, I want the option to join the inevitable shadowy, nefarious organization that will hound you throughout the game.
Just because they're bad guys doesn't mean they're bad guys.

I'm sure Plasma in BW would have been the only option to do so since the others are too obviously evil or destructive, however they decided to establish that Plasma were hypocritical dicks very early on so that idea would be out the window. Again Wes is probably the closest we'll get to a morally ambiguous protag, we seriously have no idea what the hell his motivations were in Colosseum.
Next month's Corocoro will bring info for Sun and Moon.
I just want to know how the VC transfers work... I mean, the fact that that's possible is ALL we know about Sun/Moon until we get the real scans, so yeah.

The basic plot/mechanics of Colosseum would imply that he did not approve of the alliance with Cipher. What I'd like to know is how/why Wes got into Snagem in the first place.
Yeah, I loved Colosseum, not only for Wes being my favorite protagonist, but for Shadow Pokemon being the only proper expression of any need/benefit to RAISE Pokemon in gameplay, instead of just letting them rot in a PC. Also great Ruby/Sapphire remixes in the battle mode.
Yeah it's so weird, especially when you keep in mind that Wes' starters, Espeon and Umbreon, evolve with Friendship. So it's odd that he was involve with Snagem, who at least have Team Rocket levels of morality and have no problem with Shadow Pokemon existing.

So it's odd that he was involve with Snagem, who at least have Team Rocket levels of morality and have no problem with Shadow Pokemon existing.
On a general scale. It's not impossible that some of its' members would be capable of forming genuine bonds with their Pokemon, even with the dubious nature of the organization as a whole.
The thing is though when you look at other Team Leaders, Maxie/Archie, Cyrus, and Lysandre they all have Crobats to show they aren't necessarily bad people but rather extremists, which is jarring especially considering Cyrus and Lysandre's plans. In fact part of Silver's character growth is enhanced by the fact that he too has a Crobat when he started to care about his Pokemon.
Ghetis, Giovanni and the Team Leaders in Snagem and Cipher don't have such Pokemon which shows that they are assholes, Ghetsis especially. Giovanni might an exception since at the end he did redeem himself and has a sense of honor, but it doesn't change the fact that by large Team Rocket considers Pokemon to be tools, not friends. In fact this is best shown in the anime, as much as I hate to say that. Besides Jessie, James and Meowth everyone in Team Rocket are dicks to their Pokemon, Butch and Cassidy actually used a machine to make their Pokemon stronger by forcing them to get Angry.
There may be exceptions to the rule, such as half of Plasma, the Team Rocket Trio, game Giovanni at the end, and Wes but by large I don't think Snagem as a whole can be considered questinably good if they are okay with Shadow Pokemon.
Yeah, I understand that Cypher and Snagem on the whole are evil beyond a doubt. I just wanted to point out that Wes might be, as you mentioned, an exception. :)
It still begs the question of why Wes was in Snagem in the first place though. I mean Wes seems to smart too be fooled by some Snagem recruitment offer, especially since the first thing we see is him stealing the Snag machine and blowing up the place which reveals to the world where Snagem is so he can throw them off his tail for a while.
I'm actually wondering if Wes was secretly some government agent who infiltrated Snagem but then took extreme messures once he realized their alliance with Cipher and the existence Shadow Pokemon. I mean that does ruin Wes' moral ambiguity but it does sound plausible.
That definitely sounds interesting.
Maybe he's....I 'unno, a bad guy with a heart or something? He's fine bonding with Pokemon (his Eeveelutions are proof of that), but had a change of loyalties once he found out about the Shadow Pokemon? Hell, maybe he figured he was doing people a favour by taking their Shadow Pokes away from them.
Or maybe we're all reading way too deep into what is ostensibly a kids' series. >0<
I'm picturing the meeting where the plot was discussed, and the lead supervisor just sort of shrugs and says "Whatever you think'd be cool. Not like this series makes much sense anyway."
I mean yeah we are thinking too into this, but it's just Orre in general is so freaking dark compared to everything else, even Black and White. It's a desert wasteland that is only barely starting to recover in Gale of Darkness where not even Wild Pokemon dare set foot in and nearly everyone in the orginal Colosseum, besides most of Phenac and all of Agate village, are shady as hell. It's really jarring.
Alternate universe of Red & Blue, perhaps? I remember Lt. Surge and some other NPCs making reference to a war....
No it's not an alternate universe as far as I'm concerned, Orre is just very far away compare to everthing else.
The War Lt. Surge was talking about would not cause ecological devastation on the scale of Orre unless nukes were involved, granted he didn't say the war was in Kanto but I doubt it was Orre. Hell even with the war in Kalos 3,000 years later Kalos is still freaking beautiful so whatever happened in Orre must have been something different or recent. And even then Orre is recovering by the time Gale of Darkness comes around, so it definitely wasn't a nuke.
The fact that there are Pokemon elsewhere who thrive in desert environments does make you wonder what the heck happened to Orre. Literally the only Pokemon in the region in Colosseum are its guardians: Celebi and Ho-oh. And even in Gale of Darkness, you'll only ever see wild Pokemon by laying out bait.

Evil people can still make friends, it's just that if they have evil bravado, they're not allowed to call it that.
Also if you want to nit-pick, you could argue that Pokemon evolve through "happiness" and not friendship, meaning you can basically force them to evolve by feeding them a bunch of junk food.

I get the impression Wes was with Snagem for some time, though. IIRC, the early grunts who were trying to kidnap Rui recognized him and implied that he was among their best.
We can only speculate, but I'm guessing the "honorable theif" angle goes back further than the Shadow Pokemon incident. It actually could tie into Wes having happiness/friendship-starters if he made it a point to steal from trainers that he saw as less than honorable (Orre has no shortage of people who barely notice when their Pokemon are stolen, sad to say). How he got started, who knows? Maybe he had a prior history with Gonzap.
Also on the topic of his starters, Wes does seem to enjoy their company. Before Rui joins him, he leaves them out of their Pokeballs during bike trips. I don't think there's a single other player character in the series who had more than one Pokemon out for leisure at the same time.
There's going to be some Sun and Moon footage on April 3rd during a Japanese Variety Show with Junichi Masuda, Shiheki Morimoto, and Shigeru Ohmori.
I'm anxious. It's weird we haven't seen anything already, considering it's supposed to come out in December. Usually there's at least some screenshots by now--if not a a trailer with gameplay.
It's actually not really that weird to be honest, every game reveal is different, they don't exactly follow a strict formula for reveals. I mean realistcally the game is probably already done and is in the extensive bug testing phase at this point, they just decided to show other Pokemon related things like Pokken Tournament and Pokemon Go, especially since Pokken Tournament was so close to be being released at the time, not to mention the Volcanion Movie coming in July with how much info they're putting into that.
So when you put it that way you can understand why they down played Pokemon Sun and Moon at the time so they can focus on every thing else. I mean yeah they could have revealed more, again the title reveal was still pretty lukewarm but I'm sure they'll go into detail about a lot of things next Sunday, especially since one of those dudes is the battle director. Besides it gives people a reason to speculate and make ridiculous creative fake leaks, at least people are still talking about it.
They're probably confident it's already going to sell. It's a mainline Pokemon game. I bet they wouldn't even need to advertise a main Pokemon game for it to sell like crazy. It would just pop up on the eShop and the servers would instantly crash from everyone trying to download it at once.
That being said, I gotta be honest about something: this is the most excited I've been for a Pokemon game since Gold and Silver. No idea why, but I'm so hyped. I've seen nothing except concept art and the Pokemon Direct video. That's it. I hunger for more information that'll do nothing but drive me insane with more hype until the game comes out because I'm a masochist--it's true.

Nah that would never happen, you do need at the very least some minimal advertisement in this day and age even if it was digital only. The Internet and word of mouth is still the most powerful tools for generating a consumer base in gaming, with TV being somewhat viable since Pokemon is easier to market than anything else. I mean it wouldn't be as bad as the Sega Saturn's 'brilliant' reveal, but it would be the lowest selling Main series Pokemon game ever sold, and it would be bad for rep to do that, especially if it was indeed digital only with quite a significant percentage of gamers so resistant on purchasing full digital games in the first place.
Sorry I'm taking this seriously but I'm an HR major who also had to take some basic marketing classes. Very basic marketing mind you, but sufficient enough.
Uh have you guys seen this?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlgczxOr1Ow (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlgczxOr1Ow)
I recognize the YouTube user, he mostly does videogame walk throughs. However I'll wait until Serebii reports it, streaming the TV show is kind of illegal. I think it's supposed to be on now and will last half an hour, however don't expect too much news or footage just in case.
Yeah it's just the show right now. I have it muted and I'm checking back like every five mins. Stupid if you ask me.
If you're talking about the show it is targeted towards kids, if you're talking about yourself I've been lurking in the Serebii forums myself.
EDIT: Annnnnnnd there's nothing new it seems, other than the joke response of being over 10 new Pokemon in the game. To be fair the show is aimed towards little kids, and little kids probably don't watch Nintendo Direct. At least I think that's the case, I'm sure my little cousins wouldn't and that's my standard I'm basing it on but I don't know how it is in Japan, but it woild make sense that they would get shown the same stuff based on that idea.
Oh well time to wait for this month's Corocoro next week if anything shows up, the anticipation continues to build. To be honest even though I'm slightly disappointed the wait does have me more excited somehow.
So this Month's Corocoro didn't have anything other than confirming that Magearna is Steel/Fairy and teasing that we can't see the box are yet. However they promise we'll have a huge Sun and Moon scoop next month.
Didn't expect much, but this was beyond trollish because the box art was covered by a huge lense flare. So yeah next month for sure though, back to business everyone.
Nevermind, we'll just take Masuda's word for it.
There's more than 10 Pokemon!! 8D
Yeah Masuda, or at the very least the marketing, is really trolling us.
We're getting some real news on May 10th.

FIRE KITTY!!!!!!!!
That plant owl is cute~
And Alola Region?
Aloha Alola! We gots Hawaii!
Okay it took me a while to figure out what the hell the Moon Legendary was because Serebii had broken pics at the time, but it's a [chameleon sting]ing Bat and I am okay with this. I still want my Moon Moon though.
And yes I might just have to go with Fire Kitty but all of them are pretty nice, especially since I love Owls and Seals.
Tempted to go with Moon and Rowlet to keep to a nocturnal theme.
Haven't decided which legendary I like better yet. Sun Lion or Moon Bat. But yeah, Fire Kitty is obviously my starter.
It also seems character creation is still very much around too, I wonder if I should go tan this time.
Though I'm not sure how I like the female character's hat, and we also got this video too.
[yt]https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2r0_F-_ClcQ#[/yt]
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH ROWLET IS SO CUTE 0v0
The person who gives you Pokemon is name Hala. That almost sounds meme worthy.
Plus Alola is clearly based on Hawaii. Tropical paradise~
Now, how would that Strange Souvenir that you received in XY affect SunMoon?
Also, time to edit my first post to reflect this canon news. XD
Now that you mention it the Strange Souvenir does look like something you would find in Hawaii looking back at it.
Yea, like one of those tiki masks.
First post updated with pics of the starters, the cover legendaries, the region, and both videos linked here.
About an hour in and according to a friend of mine the Internet already seems to hate Popplio. He's definitely getting the coolest final Evolution now.
I blame his cocky TA-DA! pose. XD
Admittedly Popplio is definitely very derpy, especially since it's a Circus Seal, but it's still cute.
Well, you have another round Pokemon to test drawing on.
PLEASE DRAW A ROWLET 0v0
Rowlet will be next after I finish my Bulbasaur.

Think I might try a few experiments when drawing Rowlet.
ROWLET HAS A LEAF BOWTIE~ 0v0
Indeed, one of my experiments will expand on making Rowlet the most dapper thing out there. Hopefully.
That better include a top hat, a monocle, a cane, and a cup of Earl Grey! owob
It'll at least have a tophat and monocle, I'll try to see what else I can do.
I will call mine Bubo.
BECAUSE BUBO
(http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y104/Cacico/bubo2.jpg)
So someone presented a terrifying thought, all of Litten's hairballs will be on fire.
The thing I'm most excited about is that the characters are always full size. Not that the chibi designs in XYORAS were bad, but I'm pretty sure they were there because of tradition. And it was kinda jarring to go between the in game and cutscene designs. With this I feel it kinda helps with the immersion.
Also. Moon version. Rowlet.

You should say better since it's not Fire Normal......
MAYBE LITTEN WILL BE MY FIRE/POISON MANTICORE
#TeamLitten
I'm going for Nekomata or Cait Sith/Sidhe.
My fiance pointed out that since Litten's fur is filled with flammable oils, perhaps he'll gain a secondary Poison typing?
Not really, I mean flammable oils are a common thing with Fire Pokemon biology I think.
Heck Cinccino has oils to keep it from getting dirty, and besides Toxic by TM and Gunk Shot by tutor it does not learn Poison type attacks.
However I wouldn't be surprised if Litten learned Poison type attacks like Houndour/Houndoom.
True, but they've been good with giving us new type combinations, and Fire/Poison is still unused and I just REALLY WANT FIRE/POISON I DON'T CARE THAT IT'S 4X WEAK TO GROUND
Also since it's Hawaii-based maybe we'll finally get a DARK/BUG TYPE MOSQUITO THAT I'VE WANTED FOR SEVERAL GENERATIONS NOW
And since it's Sun/Moon maybe we'll also finally get a DARK TYPE GYM LIKE REALLY HOW HAVE WE NOT HAD ONE YET
Seriously we need a Dark type Gym and a Dark Move with more than 80 base power. Seriously.
EDIT: Okay Foul Play is technically 95 power, but the damage is also varied by the Attack Stat of the opponent. There's also Night Daze at 85 but it's exclusive to Zoroark at the moment. Still need better Dark Type Moves.
I'm either Team Rowlet or Team Popplio.
*sees fire kitty*
*knows he will reset his Sun/Moon game until his starter is female and nickname it Aisha*
And yay, customizable trainers again!

I'm going for Litten since again it's been a while since I had a Fire Starter. But maybe we should wait to see what the Com Mon Birb is.

TEAM BUBO
Coro Coro has a released a slightly different trailer that doesn't really show anything new, however you can see an unidentified Pokemon on the overworld for a split second as the protagonist leaves the house.
[yt]https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9WxCKssPs3E#[/yt]
EDIT: Here's the screen shot of said Pokemon, it's said to be dog like.
That tail reminds me of a doge.
Yeah other people have also been getting Shiba Inu vibes, if it does turn out to be one we can expect a Doge meme somewhere.
I will name it Shibe
We need a picture of that Dog, Stoutland and Furfrou in sunglasses Surfing on water like badasses. I mean that thing is obviously going to be the Com Mon Normal type that learns a lot of HMs.
If only I can get a New 3DS I really want...
I'm stoked for this though I'm torn on which version to get and who should be my starter. I'm so far leaning on Litten but Rowlet and Popplio look adorable too.
I'm actually worried it'll be N3DS exclusive. The visuals seem really... Intensive, and even X/Y had framerate issues.
Considering the trailer starts out with the "Only on Nintendo 3DS & 2DS" I'm reasonably certain it's not going to be New 3DS exclusive.
There's always a chance for them to backpedal. At worst it'll still have terrible performance.
Considering Pokemon is all about accessibility I doubt it would be N3DS exclusive, especially since Pokemon RBY and Pokemon Bank are not N3DS exclusive. Have some faith.
It can go the route of BW, having more content on the New3DS, but you can still get the basic gist with the 3DS/2DS.
Also to be fair Gen6 only had terrible performance when the 3D was on. Yeah, the 3D is a big part of the system, but the games ran perfectly fine with 3D off haha
And they most likely won't backpedal, that's just a bit of pessimism talking there. As Sakura said, they want the games to be as accessible as they can, so making the new games New 3DS-exclusive would be rather counter-intuitive. Even if that means the games might suffer a bit with 3D on (or just not have 3D at all in the overworld). Might not be the best solution, but if it means as many people as possible can play the games then that's what matters.
And I honestly don't give a crap about the 3D slider since it fucks with my eyes considering I don't have 20/20 vision. :\
I keep the 3D off since it messes with my eyes and I can't see it that well anyway.
I can see the 3D, but I prefer to keep it off because I don't really need it to fully enjoy the games. Also battery life.
3D from my experience with my brother's original 3DS XL, it's a pain to keep working with my field of vision plus I'm near-sighted. I'm hoping New 3DS would do better... if I can actually get regular-sized one... -_-
Perhaps there will be a Pokemon Sun and Moon New 3DS Bundle.

I wouldn't mind grabbing this. I did with the BW-DSi bundles.
Whoa you mean those black and white ones with Reshiram and Zekrom on them? I totally forgot about those.
I never actually heard of that bundle for the DSi.

Not only was there never a DSi-exclusive Pokemon, but Pokemon took FOREVER to finally get to the 3DS at all. The main-series Pokemon games are all about accessibility, no way no how would they go New 3DS exclusive.
As for performance, well, who knows? If there is such a difference then it is quite likely they'd use New 3DS footage for the trailers, although if it's specific to the 3D effect then it's a moot point.
BTW, I thought X performed fine with the 3D on, but the game automatically shuts the 3D off in several situations anyway, like any non-one-on-one battle.
There was a new clip on Pokenchi, mostly the same as usual but now we have a glimpse of Battling with a new HP bar and bystanders watching the battle.
Also seems to confirm there will yet again be at least a 2 rival dynamic since the boy uses the Starter Weak to you. I assume the opposite Gender Protag will be the other one with the Starter Strong against you. I hope they make the dynamic good and not so badly written like X and Y.
I hope it's more like B/W, honestly.
Agreed.
Well, okay, NOT just like B/W. That game had a problem with having a fight with one of your rivals every 5 seconds until like Castelia then a rival battle was incredibly rare. Those need to be more balanced.
Yeah I say either a balanced B/W or like DPPt with a Barry like rival.
But I was seriously apathetic with the main X and Y rival and Tierno. I was okay with Shauna and to a lesser extent Trevor, but ugh I was not really engaged with Calem/and or Serena. The flip flopping between aloof and not aloof was boring.
The Japanese Pokemon Twitter has stated that there will be more new Information on June 2nd.
[yt]https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=XW14HO7C1Dg#[/yt]
So we finally have info on the Legendaries, Kukui is actually our Professor and not the old guy, our rival is Hau, and Kukui has a mysterious female assistant. Also Rotom Pokedex.
Pokemon Sun and Moon as well as GO will be featured in the Nintendo Treehouse at E3.
Psychic/Steel and Psychic/Ghost huh...
And looks like Moongeist Beam is a Ghost-type move (Or Psychic-type)...
I'm still stuck on having a Rotom in our Pokedexes now.
I wished it's a new Rotom forme.
Electric/Psychic!
I'm really feeling the 7.8/10 from the new region.
Mysterious Female Assistant-chan is cute tho
I'm leaning more and more towards Moon
As long as at least one of us gets Sun and one of us choose Popplio.
Well you know who my starter is going to be! 8D
Professor Kukui is the Alola region's dependable Pokémon professor. He lives near your home and looks out for you. He's passionate about his research into Pokémon moves and has sometimes taken direct hits from Pokémon when there was something to be learned from it. Sporting a white lab coat slung casually over his bare torso, he shows off his own unique style.
So yeah....I think Kukui is going to be one of most badass Professors ever.
Also his assistant is named Lillie who is a book worm that doesn't like Pokemon battles.
I don't think tanking Pokemon moves is such a good idea.
Toxic... Giga Drain... Nightmare... OBLIVION WING
But he'll do it, FOR SCIENCE!
Lillie is cute and already has porn drawn of her as of noon today.
Ugh [tornado fang]ing child porn. -AC

The Puppy turns out to be a Rock-Type and we have Koala Pokemon that is immune to every Status effect except Sleep.
Makes sense for a Koala Pokemon.
... Also... Magearna QR CODE!!
Yeah, I wonder if that log is a a substitute for the eucalyptus drug high?
Also the doggy and the starters apparently have a secret......
They can evolve, ala Ash-Greninja!!
Maybe it involves those braclets.
Most definitely.
I also want a definite answer for the Strange Souvenir, like it unlocking something in S&M after trading it over from XY. Post-game.
Pokebeach says only the dog is mysterious and Serebii says both the dog and the starters are mysterious. Guess we'll find out which is which.
Either way with the Strange Souvenir we'll most likely have a Tiki Legendary.
EDIT: Looking at the Page it seems Serebii is correct.

Glad this isn't an Anime only thing.
Zygarde Complete also has a move called Core Enforcer, and it seems to be a Dragon Type move.
Apparently when 10% Zydoge takes critical damage or something, he becomes complete form.
Yeah a friend of mine was telling me about that. He also said based off of some early Smogon calculations Zygarde's base HP can be anywhere between a base of 180 HP or 227 base HP. That means at worse he would be slightly below Wobuffet but if it's higher than 190 he'll have the 3rd highest HP value next to Chansey and Blissey thanks to that ability.
Core Enforcer huh...
Still missing Thousand Arrows, and Thousand Waves. XD
Zygarde 10% has both those moves. ;)
IT COMES FULL CIRCLE
It seems both Thousand Arrows and Waves are Ground Type moves, though it's very hard to hear the Super Effective sound on Metagross with how loud it is, while Core Enforcer is a Dragon Type move.
Based on the cracked data from XY, they are indeed Ground-Type moves, with Arrows having the handy ability to hit Flying-Types.
All I know is that Core Enforcer shall be known to me as the Zorro Laser.
Agreed, it will be known as the Zorro Lazer.
I was thinking the same thing with Corer Enforcer. XD

This video should almost sum up everything shown.
Something to watch when I get back. bVd
There also a lot of little things to discuss.
Well, just from the video thumbnail... I see a woodpecker, which I'm sure it's the regional bird. A capabara, maybe the regional rodent. And... Is that a bug?
Mongoose named Yungoose and a Hermit Crab pure Bug type. I don't remember the name for the Hermit Crab since it wasn't in the Treehouse presentation.
Again lots of little things to discuss.
I see... 12 hrs from now then! 8D
It's Grubbin and the Woodpecker is Pikipek.
Also there's something else but I'll leave that as a surprise. [eyebrow]
SOUNDS OMINOUS
... Oh well... 12hrs from now! 8D
Hmmm... Stakeout... Soul Heart... MAGEARNA... And the Battle Royale.
... Hmm.
There's also some other things not in the trailer like a lot of UI over hauls. You can tell when a move will be Super Effective or not in Battle, you can have an Item selected in Battle, when you catch a Pokemon the Pokedex tells you if the Pokemon can evolve, and you can keep an eye on Stat ups and Stat Downs by tapping the Pokemon. The screen also darkens when you approach a Trainer so you can tell if that NPC wants to battle, and the trainers are animated outside of Battle.
A battle happens with Hau in a Festival to kick off your Journey with a Pichu and a Level 7 Starter weak to yours, so I think this may be the secknd Battle with him. The Islands are said to have Guardian Pokemon, the title Legendaries go into Phases when certain moves are used, Popplio learns Disarming Voice, Lillie seems to have an unseen Pokemon in her Bag, and the old man Hala is said to be a very Powerful Trainer....
Additionally Yungoos the Mongoose Pokemon, like real Mongoose, are a species not native Alola that was introduced to control another Pokemon population but has now become an even bigger problem.......
EDIT: Oh apparently Yungoos is not the first Pokemon that debuted in a Region that was not it's home, Corphish was. Corphish were imported to Hoenn as Pets, for some weird.
Those UI changes sound like they are geared for all the younger generation trying out Pokemon for the first time. Efficient.
Yeah I agree, but it's still very nice.
Also that Pokemon in Lillie's bag......it didn't seem to make a sound that belonged to a Starter............
Also the Deity Pokemon of the first Island seems to be called Tapu Koko.
Huh, so instead of a lesser legendary trio (Birds, Dogs, Golems, Pixies, Musketeers), they are having a lesser legendary quintet?
AND WHERE ARE YOU GETTING ALL THIS INFO :W
Oh right sorry, it's from the E3 demonstration Video.
[yt]https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UC-uLg_5RIA#[/yt]
AH
something to watch when I get back. Again. XD
You can also witness the Male Protag's strut and how tiny Meowths are compared to you now. :3
So a few notes.
That UI is truly convenient with regards to stat changes, as well as type matchups.
The Wild Pokemon theme reminded me of music from Black/White.
Pokedex entries to show related and/or evolutions is another convenient feature. Now I know Pikipek is a 3 stage Pokemon!
Darn, all trainer types are 3D, and have their own unique animations!?
All the background actions by the trainers, pointing to attack, pondering next move, etc.
Also, the tension screen when approaching Trainers is another convenient feature.
Really looking forward to the games.
Yeah I really like what they did with the game so far.
I think I will call my Rowlet, "Vowel."
Why Vowel?
Because it sounds similar to "owl."
I'm beginning to think I would fit into the Bird Keeper class because I would like to have a Blacken, Empoleon, and whatever Rowlet's evolution will be on my team/
Blacken.....?

Psyduck is a platypus and thus doesn't fit on an all-bird team.

EDIT: Well Bulbapedia does seem to say that they are particularly based on the Platypus but other than Psyduck's head and Golduck's webbed hands I don't really see it......
Buf it's Pyro's signature creature/mon! D:
We really need a Pokemon Aussie and get a proper Platypus mon.
And it should be even harder than Unova.
A new official trailer has been released, revealing many new Pokemon, including Tapu Koko.
Tapu Koko, the Guardian Pokemon of Meremere Island, is Electric/Fairy and has a new Ability called Elekimaker, which automatically turns the field into Electric Terrain (the field effect from using the move Electric Terrain) when it enters battle. It also knows a new move named Nature Fury, used on a Slowbro in the video. This Pokemon was first mentioned in gameplay during the Nintendo E3 Treehouse Live event.
Charjabug is Bug/Electric, and the evolved form of Grubbin. It knows Spark.
Vikavolt is Bug/Electric, and the evolved form of Charjabug. It knows Zap Cannon. Looks like Grubbin is the regional Bug Pokemon with a cocoon stage.
Drampa is Normal/Dragon. It has a new Ability called Frenzy that increases Special Attack when activated, which based on the video, looks to be activated when its HP drops below 1/3. It knows Dragon Breath, used on a Flygon.
Bruxish is Water/Psychic. It has a new Ability called Dazzle that prevents moves with an increased Speed Priority from hitting, as shown in the video when Pikachu tried to use Quick Attack on it, but failed. It knows Psywave.
Cutiefly is Bug/Fairy. It knows Fairy Wind, as seen in the video, being used on a Pancham.
Togedemaru is Electric/Steel-type, and has the Ability Lightning Rod, and knows Discharge. Looks to be the regional Pika-clone.
Also, in the above video, they showed Zygarde 50% Forme using the Swarm Change Ability to turn into Complete Forme. Does this mean that its previous Aura Break Ability is exclusive to XYORAS now? Who knows?
I find it hilarious that Vikavolt's JP name is Kuwaganon.
Because it's one letter away from this:

Really like the new Pokemon shown here, including the really weird ones. I like the Dragon's design and ability but I hate that it continues the trend of randomly slapping on the Normal Sub Type just because that Gen 5 started. Like seriously why, it makes sense for Giraffarig but not anything else.
Also Togedemaru is so cute! It's so cute even though it's stats are going to suck!

So with the localised names from the English trailer, and new information streaming in...

Tapu Koko, the Guardian Pokemon of Melemele Island, is Electric/Fairy and has a new Ability called Electric Surge, which automatically turns the field into Electric Terrain (the field effect from using the move Electric Terrain) when it enters battle. It also knows a new move named Nature's Madness, which halves the opponent's Pokemon HP.
Charjabug is Bug/Electric, and the evolved form of Grubbin. It has the new Ability called Battery, which boosts the Special Attack of its partners in Doubles/Triples. It knows Spark.
Vikavolt is Bug/Electric, and the evolved form of Charjabug. It has the Ability Levitate. It knows Zap Cannon. Grubbin is the regional Bug Pokemon with a cocoon stage.
Drampa is Normal/Dragon. It can have a new Ability called Berserk, or Sap Sipper. Berserk increases Special Attack when activated, when its HP drops below 50%. It knows Dragon Breath.
Bruxish is Water/Psychic. It can have a new Ability called Dazzling, or Strong Jaw. Dazzling prevents moves with an increased Speed Priority from hitting, as shown in the video when Pikachu tried to use Quick Attack on it, but failed. It knows Psywave.

Iwanko is called Rockruff.
Nekkoala is called Komala, and it's new Ability is now called Comatose.
Riding Pokemon is back!
Also, Zygarde's Ability is now called Power Construct, which activates when HP drops below 50%. Again, does this mean that its previous Aura Break Ability is exclusive to XYORAS now? Who knows?
According to the official Sun/Moon site, it lists both Power Construct and Aura Break as abilities for all forms but Perfect.
I guess Power Construct is exclusive to SunMoon then, and if you trade to XYORAS, it changes to Aura Break.
... This means that a Power Construct Zygarde SHOULD be found in SunMoon. *looks at Lillie's bag*
Cutiefly can apparently sense the Aura of all living things, especially plants......I wonder if that means it can learn Aura Sphere.
I think Grassy Terrain is more likely.
Yeah it probably can learn Grassy Terrain as well however I think I should have clarified by posting the info on it admittedly.
Cutiefly can detect the auras of living things, including people, Pokémon, and plants. They search out flowers by the color and brightness of their auras and then gather their nectar and pollen. When living creatures are excited, it seems that their auras resemble those of flowers in full bloom. As a result, these Pokémon tend to gather near people or Pokémon feeling particularly happy or sad. Cutiefly mostly live in the fields and meadows on the outskirts of cities, but they sometimes appear in towns and even inside buildings, drawn in by the emotions of the living beings of the community.
I mean learning Aura Sphere isn't a guarantee but with Togekiss doing similar things it's a strong possibility.
... Now I want to see a Cutiefly trying to gather pollen from a Flabebe. >_>
You mean the Flower that Flabebe holds, I mean in the anime we have seen a Flabebe without the flower.
When I first saw Cutiefly I was worried it was a mosquito but someone else pointed out that it's more likely based on a hummingbird moth, which makes sense. Also it's described as the "Bee Fly Pokémon" which is decidedly NOT a mosquito.
I MIGHT STILL GET THAT BUG/DARK MOSQUITO I WANT

I just thought of something, if the other Guardian Pokemon of Alola turn out to be Totem Heads like Tapu Koko.....what if they can combine into a huge Totem Pole Pokemon like Black Kyurem and White Kyurem! :o
That would be cool... XD
Also, I think the Strange Souvenir is for Tapu Koko.
So, new in-game footage was shown at the Pokemon National Championships in Hong Kong. Your mileage may vary with regards to video quality.
[yt]https://youtu.be/RHS0DjTw5ho[/yt]
The video showcases Rockruff and Komala, how they look in-game, and how Komala's Comatose Ability works.
Argh... Traditional Chinese...
Anyways, in the video...
1. Kukui introduces the Alola Region, and introduces his Rockruff, similar to previous "Welcome to the world of Pokemon!".
2. Rockruff used Bite on a wild Arcanine.
3. Electabuzz tried to use Thunder Wave on a wild Komala, but failed. Komala then used... I think it's Wood Hammer on Electabuzz.

That would be cool... XD
Also, I think the Strange Souvenir is for Tapu Koko.
Honestly I think it's for another Guardian since the Souvenir isn't Bird Like like Tapu Koko when his helmet thing is closed.

A new Pokemon has suddenly been revealed, and it's [tornado fang]ing awesome!
Salandit can poison absolutely everything (though I think Komala might be the only exception), including Poison and Steel types, and Mirby got her wish of the very first Poison/Fire Type!
Shame I can't use it since I'm getting Litten, but it's [tornado fang]ing awesome!

HOLYSHI-
This... THIS!!!
... Will have lackluster stats, haha. XD
Yeah it even says that the Pokemon isn't very strong in the info we got.
Salandit emits toxic gas, together with flames, from the base of its tail. This poisonous gas has a sweet smell, and anyone who unknowingly breathes it in will become dizzy. Salandit is not a very powerful Pokémon, but its cunning nature allows it to battle fiercely by throwing its opponents off balance. Salandit females not only release toxic gases, they can also emit pheromones that attract males of all species, including Pokémon and humans. Inhaling these pheromones may cause opponents to be controlled by Salandit’s will.
Though honestly poisoning [tornado fang]ing Steel types being possible will still have great utility.
Oh, it definitely has utility.
And that part on pheromones... The Internet will have a field day with that. XD
Yup I dare not look at Google for a week or 2 with that.
*hops to Rule34* 8D
Now we just need that Bug/Dark Mosquito and I'll be happy.
For the record, I keep my own track of unused type combinations.

https://mynintendonews.com/2016/07/12/two-new-pokemon-have-been-revealed/
Corocoro has once again leaked with 2 new Pokemon, here's the descriptions from Serebii.
The bear is called Kiteruguma and is Normal/Fighting with the abilities Fluffy and Klutz, while the ghost is Mimikkyu and is Ghost/Fairy. It has the ability called Disguise.
People in Alola are scared of Kiteruguma to the point of having warning signs about it. It is really strong and can break anytthing in two. It likes to hug its trainers but is strong. Raising one puts your life in danger.
Mimikkyu hates sunlight, preferring dark places. It is rumoured that the cloth covering its body is a strategy to avoid the sun. Don't try to remove the cloth it is said that those that do become afflicted with an illness. Mimikkyu's costume is based on Pikachu merch that was popular 20 years ago. It wants to be loved by people like Pikachu is.
I will raise them both~
I am certainly interested in Mimikkyu (Mimic You), but I want to see what both their new abilities will do.
I'm looking forward to getting them if I can get Sun/Moon.
Also my god this Pokemon fan DA artist I follow is fast!

THE BEAR IS SO FLUFFY I COULD DIE
The only thing I don't like about the bear is the ear headband thing, I would have preferred them having real ears. Other than that it is truely adorable even though it will accidentally kill me.

A new Japanese trailer has appeared, while there isn't much "new info" explained there are some interesting things shown regardless.
Pokeballs when catching Pokemon have a new animation.
Lots of old Pokemon showing up being battled and captured.
New ridable Pokemon including Tauros and apparently Sharpedo and Lapras.
Eevees can be once again be caught in the wild and it's confirmed that there are no new Eeveelutions in this game.
You can now groom Pokemon in Pokemon Amie it seems.
You can finally forgo your hat.
And finally the protags are posing JoJo style while activating their bracelets and it seems to involve the Starters, and it seems others as well, but we don't know what affect this has as of now.
Also this song is rockin. 8B

Decided to draw Mimikkyu.
It's so cute! 0v0

More Pokemon reveals. Also you now can set up your own Global Competition and there's a new mechanic called Hyper Training that only works for LV 100 Pokemon and affects IV's. However you need something called Bottle Caps to do so.
http://serebii.net/sunmoon/hypertraining.shtml (http://serebii.net/sunmoon/hypertraining.shtml)
Of the new Pokemon I think I like Mudsdale the most.
So now... Everyone can have 6IV Pokemon without breeding... Depending on how difficult Bottle Caps are found.
... JAMES COULD HAVE DOMINATED WITH HIS BOTTLE CAP COLLECTION
Anyways, the new Abilities are as follows:
Wimp Out - If HP drops below half, the Pokemon will fled (wild), or switch out (trained)
Fluffy - Direct contact moves only deal half damage, but effectively gains a Fire weakness.
Stamina - Defense goes up 1 stage per attack received.
Triage - Restorative moves get increased priority.
Disguise - Prevents damage from ONE attack.
Also, Mudsdale gets a new Ground-type move, which is used in the video called Highhorse Power.
... BEWEAR!!
Oh wow Mimikyu's cry actually sounds like a ghostly Pikachu cry. The poor thing tries so hard. O^O
Wimp Out... Totally nonbos with Entrainment owob
Those things are going to be annoying to catch, hopefully we'll get Quick Balls by the time we encounter them.
But yeah I think I definitely want to get a Mudsdale, still haven't decided if I want to use Mimikyu but we have to see more Fairy Pokemon, though having one with 3 Immunities and a Free Substitute is rather tempting.
I do feel sorry for Bounsweet though, poor little bouncing Mangosteen. :'(
I love to eat mangosteens...
... *noms on a Bounsweet* -_-
Mimikyu is guaranteed a spot on my team. That bootleg plushie fae-ghost won me over~
More info will be revealed on August 1st.

So.....lots of stuff here, and you're looking at some new variations of Kanto Pokemon in that screenshot for the Japanese video.
The latest trailer for Pokémon Sun & Moon has been released by The Pokémon Company. This trailer reveals a lot of new Pokémon and features in the game. First they reveal Alola Forms. These are new variations of classic Pokémon. Exeggutor is Grass/Dragon with the ability Frisk
Vulpix and Ninetales are Ice and Ice/Fairy with the ability Snow Cloak
Sandshrew and Sandslash are Ice/Steel with the ability Snow Cloak
There are new Pokémon.; First is Oricorio with four different forms, Fire/Flying, Electric/Flying, Psychic/Flying and Ghost/Flying. Its ability is Dancer which copies dance moves.
Minior is Rock/Flying with the ability Shields Down
Yungoos' evolution is called Gumshoos.
Two new Pokémon are Formantis and its evolution Lurantis. They have the abilities Leaf Guard and the new move Solar Blade
Mudsdale's pre-evolution is the Ground-type Mudbray with Own Tempo and Stamina
You can ride various Pokémon using PokéRide which allows for you to travel on top of your Pokémon like Charizard & Sharpedo
Z-Moves are utilising the special bracelet that trainers have. The Z-Ring fits on a Trainer's arm, and Z-Crystals are set into it. If a Pokémon holds the same variety of Z-Crystal, the two will be able to resonate with one another. Crystals that correspond to each Pokémon type have been found in the Alola region. There are two conditions for performing Z-Moves: a Pokémon must learn a move of the same type as a Z-Crystal, and it must be holding the corresponding Z-Crystal. When you see these moves in action in the game, each overwhelmingly powerful move will be on full display, filling the entire screen! A special bit of merchandise for a Z-Ring will also be released which will light up in tandem with use on Sun & Moon
Whoa... That update gave a lot of insight into Story Mode... 4 trials...
And as expected, Hele is a Kahuna.
Very interesting Alola Forme Pokemon... And...
Gumshoos REALLY looks like Trump now. >_>
REGIONAL VARIANTS GUYS REGIONAL VARIANTS
I want to use Alolan Sandslash. :3
I know right, seriously how the hell is that not on purpose!
Also I wonder if those trials are replacing Gyms.
The way the video introduced the trials, it feels like the Orange League.
I WONDER IF THERE WILL BE MORE AAAAAAAAAAAAA *FLAILS*
It's like all those Pokemon variant memes made canon!
Most likely... Makes you wonder WHO
More news should come on the 12th it seems.
Lurantis reminds me of an orchid mantis.
Yeah I was totally thinking that too, though I'm surprised it wasn't a bug type.
Aye, me too on the lack of Bug-typing.
It looks very insectlike, which leaves me confused. Even the name has "mantis" in it.
They will most likely still give it Bug moves like X-Scissor... And since Solar Blade is a physical move... Most likely it will have good Attack.
I think I want to have Snowpix on my team, however I'm trying to figure out which frozen treat to name them since I name my Vulpix and Nintales Kit-Kat.
I like that Solar Blade is just Squall's move Blasting Zone from FF8 lol
Also love the regional variants. Especially since I love playing Pokemon Randomizers so new types on old Pokemon is great.
Frostshrew and Frostslash are also tanky as hell with that Ice/Steel typing. They take 1/2 damage from Normal, Flying, Grass, Psychic, Bug, Dragon, and Fairy while taking 1/4 damage from Ice. Sure they're 4x weak to Fire and Fighting (and 2x to Ground) but that's still a hefty amount of types to be resistant to.
Also love the idea of the Island Trials, and the Kahuna Battles seem to be the closest thing to Gym Battles we're getting this gen. And Z-Moves look fun to use, and hilariously OP.
Yeah it's like they took Solar Beam, solidified it, and turned it into a Giant Sword that takes 2 turns to lift and attack with.
Django would be proud.
TAIIIYOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH
Yeah something that learns that move should be nicknamed Django.
Oh man, I'm the new Alolian forms look awesome and intriguing to see how they'll play out in battle, including the new Pokemons revealed here. I hope there's more regional variants to come. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! *fails* 0v0
Quote from: Sakura Leic on August 01, 2016, 10:22:57 PM
Yeah something that learns that move should be nicknamed Django.
I'd name a female one Esmy, the nickname of Emsyrelda from Cryamore since she kinda looks like a gender-bent Django.
Real talk though, if Luxray gets a Alolian form and it's Electric/Dark that would be freaking awesome.
That would be slick.
Apparently someone heard a rumor about Alolan Arcanine and Butterfree, which would be slick too.
Hmm there's something that just came to me.
How the heck is Snowpix going to evolve?
Water Stone?
I don't think so since it's not part Water and besides Eevee they kind of have to be at least part Water. Shiny Stone might be possible, I don't think it would be the Dawn Stone since that seems to do more with Gender based Branching Evolutions.
Or maybe it's another location based one like Glaceon.
And that's assuming it's not a new evolution method.
I'm gonna assume that it evolves as any Vulpix would, just to screw with people.
I wouldn't be surprised if that's ends up being the case.
I really like the Alolan Forms idea!
I'm still having trouble thinking of what to name my Snowpix, I mean I can't think of a good counterpart to Kit-Kat. I mean Klondike is out of the question because it fits Beartic too much, and I don't think Creamsicle is good enough. :\
Alola Ninetales is my instant favorite Fairy type. If I do nickname it, it'll probably be Nailah for a female or Lunaedge for male.
I'm also curious about how well an Ice/Steel Sandslash would perform. As lousy a defensive typing as Ice is, coupling it with Steel works great since it only compounds Steel's existing weaknesses instead of adding new ones. I could definitely see it as being a mean Ice Shard user.
Yeah the only thing we have for Alola Sandshrew and Sandslash is that they are described as slower but bulkier. I just hope those descriptions are accurate and not as erroneous as Skarmory and Escavalier.
I mean I would think the Rotomdex wouldn't lie right?
Either way I'm very interested in training a Alola Sandslash after the main game.

York.
Because Kit-Kat is type of candy like York but York is a peppermint patty which tastes refreshing (and had that IT'S LIKE I'M ON THE TOP OF A MOUNTAIN ad campaign because the taste was so cool temperature-wise).
Eh I might go with Peppermint instead since York sounds like it should be a name for a Stouland. Since they are from New York/Unova and I think Herdier looks like a Yorkshire Terrier in a way.
Or Patty.
Either way lol

Sandcastle Pokemon!!!
Holy.....is that giant fish Pokemon an entire school of fish gathered into a single Pokemon?! :o
EDIT: Also another scan has the antagonists Serebii took a bit to upload that one.
ALSO IS THE SAND CASTLE EATING PIKACHU?! :o
I think it is!
Jeez no wonder that thing is part Ghost! :o
Also the Secret of Rockruff will finally be revealed in the next issue. I hope the second stage of the Starters get revealed soonish.
EDIT: Some flavor text for Alola Meowth and Marrowak though obviously incomplete until it ends up on the official Pokemon Website.
Alolan Meowth developed after being bred by the royal family of Alola. Alolan Marowak developed in response to its natural predators in order to resist them.
Though I have to wonder what the hell was hunting Marrowak to make them become part Ghost......
EDIT 2: I just now read that the Antagonist Team is called Team Skull, can't believe I missed that when I skimmed Serebii.
Despite no signs of gyms, there will always be an evil team running around. XD
And that sandcastle will be in my team!!
Seriously only Pokemon can make me scared of Sand Castles. :o
OMNOMNOM
that or sinking in quicksand. 8D
IT'S A SARLACC D:
Oh [tornado fang] Pikachu is Boba Fett!
No wonder there are Pikaclones...
Serebii has more translations.
Nuikoguma is very popular among women and children, and tops the lists of Pokemon people want to meet. It hates being touched and will kick and struggle to resist. It's very powerful, but once it evolves into Bewear it truly gains herculean strength
Sunabaa is a grudge that dwells inside a pile of sand turns into a Pokemon. Truly a terrifying creature
Shirodesuna steals the life force from other Pokemon. Those Pokemon's grudges turn into a new Sunaba.
So yeah eating Pikachu confirmed............
So Mimikyu imitates a Pikachu while Sunaba might be the grudge of a dead Pikachu. Gotcha.
Also finally a Ghost type that drains the life from other Pokemon instead of children lol
At least now we know what happens when bullies kick down sandcastles.
Thank you Pokemon!
So Corocoro had another Pokemon in it, but unfortunately at the moment we don't know anything about it other than the Japanese name and apparently it attacks by sending it's insides out as a fist to fight it's opponents........

Kind of adorable for something that fights with its guts and organs.
Also the page with the Antagonist Team Skull.

EDIT: So at first I thought the weird bunny was a Sea Cucumber based off the alleged Chinese Leaks but it's actually a Sea Slug, specifically this sea slug that Japan has been going nuts over in recent years.
http://www.boredpanda.com/cute-bunny-sea-slug-jorunna-parva/ (http://www.boredpanda.com/cute-bunny-sea-slug-jorunna-parva/)
These things are also Poisonous so I'm predicting this will be a Water/Poison type and most likely will have Poison Touch or Poison Point as one of it's abilities.
Sorry for the double post but we have even more leaks but this time for the trailer. As such I will put these guys in Spoiler Tags since they haven't officially been revealed.
First we have the English name of our Sea Slug Bunny Pyukumuku, which is appropriate for how adorably disgusting it is.
My prediction however was off the mark, it's a pure Water Type and it's ability is a new one called Innards Out. Really playing up that puke angle there, still cute though.
Next we have another new Pokemon.
I kind of hate and kind of like how the Chinese Leaks are getting more things right at the same time........
And finally a new Alola Kanto Pokemon.
........Excuse me for a moment..........
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
[tornado fang] YES, [tornado fang] YES, [tornado fang] YES!
FINALLY RAICHU GETS SOME [tornado fang]ing LOVE! INSTANT TEAM MEMBER!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
*proceeds to run around in circles for the next couple of hours handing out beer, chocolate and flowers to everyone and then collapses in exhaustion in the middle of the room*

Anyway! This is pretty nice.
At the same time I really hope everything on that Chinese Leak is not true, but now it's looking ridiculously plausible.
EDIT: Oh I forgot the Fish from before is Wishiwashi with the Ability Schooling but no picture for that one.
EDIT 2: The English name of the Team Skull Boss is confirmed to be Guzma meanwhile the Female Admin is Plumeria which is a slight change from her Japanese name. Alola Meowth keeps Technician and Pick Up for their main Abilities.
Alola Marowak keeps Lighting Rod for one of their Abilities.
However they gain Cursed Body instead of Rock Head.
That Raichu looks very pixie like
Interesting type choice though, definitely needed another type to back it up
I'm now wondering if it can actually learn Surf without an Event now. If it can maybe I can have my 6th Pokemon not be a Water Type of some sort.
Though Alola Meowth with Pick Up will be a temporary Team Member.
Hey, random thought just now... Could an Alolan Arbok be more than a different chest marking? 8D
Well it would be the 3rd design in the games, 4th if you count the Gen 1 back sprites.

... I WANT A BUNNY SEA SLUG
If you're talking about the real thing they don't live very long.
As for the Pokemon well we'll see how Innards Out works.
BUT I WANT TO HUG IT AND SQUEEZE IT AND CALL IT GEORGE!!
Japanese Trailer is out.
[yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7VmMURRKWFk[/yt]
EDIT: Wait.....why are Team Skull using Safari Balls?
EDIT 2: Plumeria has an Ultra Ball, wow they went all out with little details here.
I thought they were Ultra Balls, or at least I think the Admin uses them. Also, Team Skull is up there with Team Flare in terms of body language. XD
Also, looks like Innards Out is just like Aftermath, if knocked out, deal damage to opponent Pokemon. And Schooling deactivates if HP drops below half.
Yeah looks like it.
Also thanks to some other leakers we know that Alola Raichu's Ability is Doubling Speed when Electric Terrain is out.
Doubles combo with Tapu Koko then.
And Surfing Raichu is a happy Raichu. :3
[yt]https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Py2LxgWBaRQ[/yt]
English trailer is out, seems both Guzma and Kukui tried to become Trial Captains but failed, but I'm not sure they know each other. Also more Skull Antics, might be too soon to call but I think they're going to be my favorite antagonists. XD
EDIT: Never mind, the Pokemon Site says that Guzma and Kukui do actually know each other.
So this showed up on the Japanese Twitter and Site.
https://mobile.twitter.com/Pokemon_cojp/status/763910394263969792 (https://mobile.twitter.com/Pokemon_cojp/status/763910394263969792)
http://www.pokemon.co.jp/ex/sun_moon/pokemon/#new (http://www.pokemon.co.jp/ex/sun_moon/pokemon/#new)
So Innards Out does the same amount of HP damage, as the amount of HP bunny slug had before it was knocked out by a move.
So best case scenario is a OHKO, which essentially becomes Final Gambit. Worst case scenario... 1HP.
Also another reason that I think I'm going to really like Team Skull is the fact that Guzma seems to be more out for Revenge then trying to achieve some lofty goal of changing the world for one reason or another for intentions that vary from good but taken in the worst direction possible to down right evil and trying to force everyone to live with it. If he's going to catch the Legendaries for his schemes it's going to be because it's personal and he's lashing out.
Also I noticed he has black hair on the bottom of that floofy white top, maybe he's an estranged relative of Chaud?
Also going back to those pictures I do wonder if Dragonite and Zubat are going to get Alola forms.
The overall plans for Team Skull is still unknown though, even if it's just revenge. Either way, they are pretty much hooligans at the moment.
As for Zubat and Dragonite... I checked the JP site, and it is labelles under Pokemon seen previously. It could mean that they have appeared in the trailers, which they did.
OR it could be a Feint, and truly reveal Alolan formes later.
Speaking off, they mentioned news on 12 Aug. Was the trailer yesterday counted towards this? Or new news?
I think this was supposed to be for the 12th but the Leaks made them show the trailer sooner.

This gave me a good laugh
HOLYSHI- AWESOME
There's a lot of speculation as to how/if Mega Evolution fits into Sun and Moon. No announcement has been made on this, but someone is apparently claiming that the Sun/Moon trainer bracelet can equip one Z crystal AND one Mega Stone, meaning any Mega will be able to use hold items and not just Rayquaza.
...eeexcept that Mega Evolution ALREADY has the trainer holding a stone in their bracelet? Sounds a little off, but if it's true, at least the game would no longer revolve around Mega Rayquaza, and it would alleviate the "offensive Mega outclassed by Choice/Life Orb" phenomenon. I personally would have expected Z Moves and Megas to not overlap, as in you'd choose one or the other. But hey, nobody gave a crap about limits with Primal Reversion (seriously, they need to fix that), so who knows?
Z-Moves kinda felt to me like the answer to the eternal "why doesn't *fill-in-the-Pokemon* have a Mega evolution?" questions. God knows I'd love my Dragonite to whip out an awesome super-move like that.
...also, this.

Man... I think the Bottle Caps will be rare items to acquire...
I forgot to mention they hint at a Gold Bottle Cap that raises multiple stats too.
There's going to be live Sun and Moon footage at Gamescom via the German Twitch Channel starting at 8:00 AM Pacific Thursday.
There was a lot of repeat stuff for Gamescom but there were 2 notable things shown.
First there's a second Electric Type Z move that seems to be Physical and a New Fire/Dragon type Pokemon which conveniently also got an English Trailer release just now.
[yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=12&v=SFWLoyZESAc[/yt]
Interesting... Shell Trap looks like it needs to be set first, then be attacked physically before a retaliation.
... Needs more details. XD
Still, looks cool.
Turtonator is a mata mata turtle.
Ironic a Fresh Water Turtle became part Fire.
The 3 missing Corocoro Pokemon have got a new Trailer at the World Championship and yet another new Pokemon has been revealed.
[yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1hsh267tUM[/yt]
Sandygast and Palossand also have the new ability Water Compaction which boosts Defense by 2 when hit with a Water-type move.
And they're even scarier in 3D! :o
EDIT: I just realized.....that Stufful has a tag stuck on its' but under it's tail.....I don't know how to feel about that Teddy Bear or not.
Definitely having Palossand in my team. bVd
The scariest Pokemon ever.....is called Pile of Sand.
Also some official information on all these Pokemon, and much less Engrish.
Stufful’s cute appearance and movements—plus the fluffy feel of its fur—all combine to make it super popular! This Pokémon may have a small body, but its strength is extraordinary. Receiving one of its powerful hits without being prepared for it can bring down even well-trained Pokémon!
A Sandygast emerges when the grudges of Pokémon and other creatures soak into the sand after they fall in battle. In essence, it’s a possessed lump of sand! If you heedlessly grab a Sandygast’s shovel, you’ll fall under the Pokémon’s control. A Sandygast uses its power to manipulate children into gathering sand to increase the size of its body. If a Sandygast loses its shovel, it may put up a tree branch, a flag, or another item in its place. These Sandygast are wanderers in search of their own shovels. The tunnel-like mouth of a Sandygast can suck the vitality from people and Pokémon. Apparently it’s a test of courage in the Alola region to put your hand in a Sandygast’s mouth.
Palossand controls human adults, making them build a sand castle that provides camouflage and also raises its defensive abilities. Unlike Sandygast, if Palossand loses some of the sand from its body, it can restore itself on its own. When moving about in search of prey, the shovel on top of Palossand’s head revolves. It’s said that the shovel could be serving as some kind of radar. Palossand loves the vitality of Pokémon and drags small Pokémon into its body so it can steal their life force. Its sandy vortex swallows them up in a heartbeat! Pokémon dragged into Palossand leave traces of their ill will behind. It’s thought that this negative energy may be the starting point of new Sandygast...
Crabrawler has a personality that really hates to lose, and it’s driven not only to aim for a higher position than its fellows in terms of social standing, but literally to aim for a higher position in the landscape. Perhaps as a result, it’s sometimes found clinging to tall people or to the walls of buildings! If you try to remove one against its will, you’ll be met with a sound punch. Crabrawler’s favorite food is Berries. It punches the trunks of trees to give the branches a good shake and knock any ripe Berries to the ground so it can feast! Many Crabrawler may gather around a tree, but only the one that emerges victorious in battle against all the others receives the privilege of eating the ripe Berries. Crabrawler uses its claws to protect its face and belly while getting in close to an opponent to throw punches. Its punches are powerful enough to split tree trunks! Crabrawler’s pincers are sometimes torn off during its bouts—and they are said to be delicious.
Coconut crabs are pretty hardcore land crabs, no wonder Crabrawler is a Pure Fighting Type.
Also I was wrong about the Z-Move from before, it was actually a Normal Type Z-Move.
Palossand, you skurry
DEFINITELY need Palossand in my team. [eyebrow]
I will name mine after the Great Pit of Carkoon.
So the Sun and Moon description of Pyukumuku mentions that part time work is available in Tourist Beaches to throw Pyukumuku into the Sea due to being something of an ugly sight for people. We can actually do just that in the game.
[yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jgZhBxhyQA[/yt]
The pay out for this 20,000 Pokedollars and if the description is accurate about Pyukumuku coming back to the same spot I'm thinking this is repeatable. Not sure if this is fixed payout or if you get increase pay assuming this is repeatable.
So interesting things about Sun and Moon directly from Serebii.
Some distributions have been announced for Pokémon Sun & Moon in Japan. First, with the Pokémon Sun & Moon World's Fastest Capture Guide on November 28th, it will come with a special QR Code which will allow for you to easily find where Togedemaru is in the wild. It also confirmed that the special Monecolle GET figures will come with QR Codes that will let you easily find the Pokémon in the wild. Secondly, with the Pokémon Sun & Moon Official Guide Book, it has been confirmed that you will receive a serial code for a Gold Bottle Cap and confirms that the Gold Bottle Caps will boost the IVs to maximum.
So Togedemaru doesn't seem to be found in the wild so easily apparently.
Meh, 5% or not, I will catch it!
I just want my bottle cap!
The Nintendo of France Twitter has asked its followers to imagine what the evolutions of the Starters will look like. This may be hinting that the next official announcement will be the 2nd stage evolutions and may come soon, which also makes sense since Corocoro is going to reveal what the heck is up with Rockruff which claims the Starters share a Secret with it.
They all evolve via squeaky dog toys.
The description of Rockruff mentions that when a Rockruff is close to Evolution it starts howling at Dusk frequently and will separate from the Trainer when the Evolution process starts but will come back when the Evolution is complete.
This and the now very Plausible Chinese Leaks suggest a Werewolf type Pokemon, however how this relates to the Starters is still very unclear if it is indeed a Werewolf.
Full-moon triggered were-forms confirmed.
If those Starter Leaks are True at least Litten will be a Were Tiger Dirty Fighting Heel Wrestler.
Still waiting to see if the Rugby Monkey and Snowman are true, particularly the former just for how ludicrous that one sounds. XD
I want my mermaid seal waifu. *nods*
As long as some chooses Popplio and breeds it later that would be great, I was worried about that before the leaks started getting more clout.
[yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CsTuHGpLJfM[/yt]
Not too much shown, just Alola Ratata and the reveal some Pokemon have exclusive Z moves.
We also can download a Munchlax when the game releases with Snorlium Z, Hold Back and Happy Hour until January 11th.
I like Alola Rattata's look.
It's the Mustache.
EDIT: The next Sun and Moon reveal will be on Sept 6th.
Munchlax with Hold Back...
Good... [eyebrow]
OH MY GOD I JUST NOTICED WE STAND ON OUR SNORLAX TO ACTIVATE ITS Z-MOVE!
HOLYSHI-
THAT SNORLAX AFTER 20 YEARS OF SLEEPING UNLEASHED SO MUCH MALICE
AND ALOLAN RAICHU IS SUCH A SUAVE SURFER
And awww... Alolan Rattata is standing on its rear legs!
IT TOOK 17 YEARS TO STAND UP, 3 YEARS LATER IT'S PISSED AND HUNGRY FOR PANCAKES! :W
Also my god Rattata has a cool design but man it's so unfortunate to have a design like that in 2016 along with Yungoos and Gumshoos.
Anyway Rattata were confirmed to be the reason Yungoos were brought to Alola but into order to avoid Yungoos they change their habitat to Cities and because nocturnal since Yungoos is active during the Day. Unlike their cousins Alola Rattata will only eat fresh food.
Alola Ratatas are classy~
Eating only fresh food?
Alolan Rattata sounds like a gentleman Rattata! XD
And being part Dark REALLY helps since it gives Bite and Crunch STAB now.
4x weak to Fighting? BAH! *splat*
It also mentions that Alola Raticate are the bosses of nests that contain several dozen Alola Rattata.
So Alolan Raticate is confirmed. Must be a huge ball of black fur.
OMG THAT SNORLAX!!! 8D
Wiilax just became 10 times more badass? XD
[yt]https://youtu.be/YFbMGKvN6ts[/yt]
So, a new video is released, new Pokemon, new details, and new people.
Firstly, a confirmation of Alolan Raticate. It's still Dark/Normal, and still has Gluttony or Hustle.
Quote from: Dr. Wily II on September 02, 2016, 10:42:31 AM
So Alolan Raticate is confirmed. Must be a huge ball of black fur.
I wasn't too far off. XD
A new Dragon called Jangmo-o that looks like a baby Ankylosaur (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ankylosaurus). It has either Bulletproof, or Soundproof.
Then there's "Type: Null". It's a Normal type with Battle Armour, and is shown to know Tri-Attack. And it's classification is "Synthetic Pokemon".
Ultra Beasts... Apparently a mysterious threat.
One of them is "UB-01", a giant jellyfish.
A new Team Skull Enforcer named Gladion is revealed, as well as the Aether Foundation, apparently people that protects Pokemon from Team Skull on a floating man-made island called Aether Island.
The story for Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon takes place 12 hours apart. Sun in the day, Moon in the night. And it even affects the Trials you partake in, with Sun having a Totem Gumshoos, while Moon has a Totem Alolan Raticate instead.
In the game, you will be given a Key Item called the Zygarde Cube, to collect Zygarde Cells. While exploring the Alola region, you might notice some spots that sparkle. If you approach these spots, the Zygarde Cube will suck up the Zygarde Cell. Sina and Dexio are the ones who give you the Zygarde Cube.
They sure look older... Then again, XY still had the chibi overworld model.
Either way, Sun & Moon is confirmed to happen after the plot of XY.
Lastly, you can take photos of Pokemon in the wild with the PokeFinder. You can then post them up for people (NPCs?) for comments and appraisals.
The Japanese video is longer, but combines the reveal of Sandygast, Palossand, Crabrawler, Stufful and Turtonator.
[yt]https://youtu.be/YR1ssSZfoGY[/yt]
It also shows that apparently Gladion uses "Type: Null". And that "UB-01" will be pretty plot-relevant, since it broke space-time to enter Aether Island.
My god there was a crap ton of different information this time, I have a feeling Jagmo-o is our Psuedo. Either way depending on the evolution I may want it for my Team, it's so cute!
Also.....
UB-01’s body is composed of a glass-like substance. However, it’s constantly changing shapes, never settling on one. While evidence of something like a survival instinct can be observed in UB-01, no one knows whether it has a will of its own or any emotions. It’s said that, for some reason, its movements resemble those of a young girl.

They wouldn't........right?
EDIT: Also there was a screen shot of another Pokemon that wasn't discussed, seems to be Cutiefly's evolution.
They would and you know they would.
I'm looking at you, human!Latias.
Latias can't talk unlike Lillie, and the anime rarely interacts with the game period.
Also strange as it sounds it may sound weird but Ultra Beasts may not be Pokemon and we don't have clear confirmation that they are in fact Pokemon.
Ultra Beasts are a new concept introduced in Pokémon Sun & Moon. The true nature of Ultra Beasts are not yet known but they possess powers that could pose a threat to humans and Pokémon
Another idea is this thing took Lillie's form/DNA.
And Pokefinder being Pokemon Snap 2/Instagram confirmed.
The possible connection between Lillie and UB-01 was my first thought too. And to be honest, there might be something there.
Yeah this entire update is so bizarre.
Then there's Type-Null, we know it's a synthetic Chimera Pokemon made to adapt to any situation and the helmet is made to "control its latent power" but hinder agility so it's probably going to get a second form. There's also the fact that the helmet has Arceus' ring motif......
EDIT:
[yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9VgXtwxIW-Q[/yt]
.......OH MY GOD THIS MAKES ME CRY! O^O
Also more hairstyles.
THOSE FEELS O^O
Just had this thought that Ultrabeasts might be a canon spin on the old Pokegods (http://www.blue-reflections.net/ragecandybar/projects/pokegods/) fan concept.
Yeah quite a few people are thinking the same thing.
I just love the fact that Sun and Moon are having quite a few mysteries going on now and actual ambiguity unlike the kind of fake ambiguity with Team Plasma.
Plasma was half fake, N truly believed in his cause, even with all the conditioning from Ghetsis.
I just hate that Munna kicking scene because it gave away the fact that at least half of Plasma are not morally ambiguous way too soon. Hell if that scene wasn't there we probably wouldn't know until the very end.
Well, even the first introduction of Team Plasma via the public rally by Ghetsis was pretty suspicious too. Cheren even commented at how the citizens were easily swayed by Ghetsis' charisma.

Another new Japanese Trailer not much there though it seems to confirm that Lana's Trial is probably going to be stopping a Wishiwashi, the names of Pokemon Ride Pokemon like Lapras Swim, Sharpedo Jet, and Charizard Flight and there's a different Oak who lives in Alola who talks about Regional Differences. I'm going to guess he's Samuel's Cousin.
Quote from: Sakura Leic on September 08, 2016, 03:56:04 AM
and there's a different Oak who lives in Alola who talks about Regional Differences. I'm going to guess he's Samuel's Cousin.
Clearly he's Alolan Oak. 8D
Most people say he's the same Oak but I'm going to wait until we get official confirmation on that because I don't think Oak can grow his hair that fast, or at least as much as I advocate that the anime rarely has anything to do with the games I don't think anime Oak is going to change his look.
Also it seems with Customization our hair can be White now.
Oak travelled to the Alola region, and due to the amount of sunlight there, his hair grew like weeds and thus, he had to adapt to the new environment.
Alolan forme Oak is born. 8D
Also the Technology is Amazing NPC is in that trailer.
I indeed called it, that guy is indeed Oak's Cousin.
His name is Nariya Oak, at least in Japanese.
Also the next announcement will be Sept 14th.
I saw that Hypno. I SAW IT.
Also, is it just me, or does Lusamine look like someone's Gemsona design?
No because Gems have gems attached to the Skin, not Clothes.
I raise you a Yellow Diamond.

So, some CoroCoro leaks are floating around, revealing more Ultra-Beasts, evolutions of Rockruff, and the one thing everyone is looking forward to... The Alola arc of the anime! 8D
Pics from Serebii.net.
So first up, 2 Ultra-Beasts that are given the designation UB-02: UB-02 Beauty, and UB-02 Expansion. UB-01 also has a name, but it's currently a mystery but will hold a deep meaning.
Apparently, UB-02 Beauty is facing off Tapu Koko is Pokemon Moon, while in Pokemon Sun it's UB-02 Expansion.
Next up, Rockruff has a branch evolution depending on the time of day.
If bathed in the sunlight, Rockruff evolves into Lugarugan Midday Form, and knows the new move AccelRock.
If bathed in the moonlight, Rockruff evolves into Lugarugan Midnight Form, and knows the move Counter.
The leaks also mentioned that in the next issue of CoroCoro, the true strength of Type: Null will be revealed. There's also something relating to Pokemon GO... Are the Alolan Forms related to it?
The Alola arc of the anime has Ash and Pikachu attending school in Alola, and his goal is to graduate. He will receive a Z-Ring, and meet up with Tapu Koko. The Alola arc will air in November this year.
Lugarugan Midnight Form confirmed yiffbait.
Plus like you predicted, is a werewolf. 8D
ALL OF THE YIFF
Lol, what even are those poses that Ash & Pikachu are doing in that poster? 8D
Quote from: Protoman Blues on September 14, 2016, 04:47:47 AM

The pose for the Electric Type Z Move since every Z Move has a pose or dance.
Ahhhhh. That makes zense!
Most likely it is Gigavolt Havoc.
Yeah I haven't memorized all the names just yet also the dance for the unamed Ghost Z Move is adorable.
[yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMzwcIG8vgk[/yt]
Have we discussed this? Cause holy [parasitic bomb] I'm all in!!!
Yeah it's a mini series, but I am all for seeing more adorkable Red.
YES PLEASE
Speaking of which I really hope we see the Starter Midstage Evolutions tomorrow. Since they do share the same secret as Rockruff I guess we're getting Version Exclusive Evolutions for them too most likely.
Yes the Rockruff Evolutions are version exclusive since it wasn't mentioned.
If it's Origins, then yea, it was awesome. SquirtleXCharmander forever. 8D
If it's more... YES PLS
Quote from: Sakura Leic on September 14, 2016, 05:14:52 AMYes the Rockruff Evolutions are version exclusive since it wasn't mentioned.
figures, but I was holding out for just a regular day night evo, such that because of the 12h shift more of the Moon players would typically get Midnight forme, etc. ;(
Yeah the Midnight form is exclusive to Moon and the Midday Form is exclusive to Sun. We probably need to do some major Rockruff tradings at one point.
Well, some information have trickled in from the Japanese Pokemon site on the UB-02s.
Expansion has a body that is a deadly weapon, and its probiscus is stronger than diamonds.
Beauty uses its beauty to charm Pokemon, no matter the gender. These Pokemon then lose their desire to fight. Beauty is also quick enough to outrun lightning.
And a new English trailer is released, talking about the UB-02s.
[yt]https://youtu.be/7Z8hARTlZrE[/yt]
Expansion is localized as Absorption, and Beauty keeps its name.
It confirms that Absorption is exclusive to Sun, and fights Tapu Koko, while Beauty is exclusive to Moon to fight Tapu Koko.
[tornado fang]
I wanted to get Sun
but now there's more waifus
There will be more news coming out on 20th Sept, hopefully more substantial, haha.
Glad I'm getting Moon for werewaifu and bug waifu.
A mosquito and a... cockroach? VERSION EXCLUSIVE BUG MONSTERS WAT
ALL HAIL OUR BUG OVERLORDS
NOT BUG-TYPE OVERLORDS
As promised, new news!
[yt]https://youtu.be/m8lfI66T5II[/yt]
So we have version exclusive primates. In Sun, we have the Fighting-type Passimian, while in Moon we have the Normal/Psychic-type Oranguru.
Passimian has a new Ability called Receiver, which basically receives a fainted ally Pokemon's Ability.
Oranguru has Inner Focus or Telepathy, and a new move called Instruct, which basically causes an ally Pokemon to repeat its last used move.
Then it confirms the evolutionary version exclusives for Rockruff. In Sun, it's called Lycanroc Midday Form, in Moon it's Lycanroc Midnight Form.
Midday Form has Keen Eye or Sand Rush, while Midnight Form has Keen Eye or Vital Spirit.
New exclusive Z-Moves are revealed for Pikachu and Eevee.
Pikachu gets CatastroPika, where Pikachu is being thrown like a electrified fast ball.
Eevee gets Extreme Evoboost, where Eevee gains power from all its Eeveelutions, increasing all its stats by 2 stages.
Customisation returns, but this time, it must be paid using Festival Coins. There's a whole lot more hairstyles, hair colours, contact lenses, and of course clothes to choose from. Plus, you can go hatless!
Lastly, Pokemon Amie is replaced by Pokemon Refresh, where you can groom, rub and feed treats that aren't PokePuffs. Also, if your Pokemon is suffering from a status condition, you can heal them via specialised grooming.
The next news update will be on 4th October.
I see glasses! I SEE GLASSES
Oh we actually got a Rugby Monkey, though since Pokemon Refresh can cure status Ailments outside of battle perhaps we don't need as many Status curing items except for in Battle.
EDIT: Here's the Japanese trailer.
[yt]https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2JN2010hYYs[/yt]
I found some different information from the Pokemon Website, apparently you can dye White clothing items in different colors.
EDIT: Oh and I also found out from the Pokemon Website that Snorlax actually needs to have Giga Impact in order to perform Pulverizing Pancake along with the Z Crystal.
BIG NEWS!!
[yt]https://youtu.be/ciqAkdXQ9dw[/yt]
[yt]https://youtu.be/n9o552CaJV8[/yt]
Firstly, we finally have the first stage evolutions of the starters!
Rowlet evolves into Dartrix, so suave. Grass/Flying, Overgrow. It likes its bowtie being rubbed, but not his hair. Just groom its hair, and will love you long time.
Litten evolves into Torracat. Fire, Blaze. It likes its head being rubbed, but beware of his flaming orb! Just groom its claws, and will love you long time.
Popplio evolves into Brionne. Water, Torrent. It likes its neck area being rubbed. Just groom its... Head appendages (>_>), and will love you long time.
Next up, we have the Festival Plaza. Here, you help people like in the Join Avenue of B2W2, and you get rewarded with Festival Coins. These Coins can then be used to purchase stuff, or play attractions, like the Gen6 PGL. The Japanese video also confirms that you can dye white clothes with colours, and paid using Festival Coins.
Then, we have a new feature called the Poké Pelago. This uses your boxed Pokémon to go on adventures into various Isles.
Isle Abeens can attract wild Pokemon that you can catch, Isle Aphun can be searched for rare items like evolutionary stones, and Isle Evelup is like Super Training, to train your EVs.
The Japanese video also shows that you can plant Berries on one of the Isles too.
After a drought of information, Mega Evolution has been confirmed!! And it's linked to Z-Power.
Lastly, a special demo version of Sun and Moon will be released on 18th October 2016, just like with ORAS. In this demo, you are given a special Greninja that you can transfer over to Sun and Moon via Pokemon Link. This Greninja has the Battle Bond ability, which lets it turn into Ash-Greninja when it knocks out a Pokemon.
The next news update will be on 14th October 2016.
......JOIN AVENUE SUCCESSOR YAY! 0v0
Also finally those people said that the game wasn't going to have Mega Evolution period can shut up.
It's like someone said. Mega Evolution is no longer the marketing tool it was back in Gen 6. This is Gen 7, of course they have to highlight new features exclusive to Gen 7.
Plus, despite the sheer broken-ness of Mega Evolution *coughmegarayquazacough*, it's something that's here to stay.
Don't forget Mega Kangaskhan.
Anyway at the very least we won't see them at the 2017 VGC since it's the standard "you can only use the Pokemon you can obtain in the newly released game's Reginal Pokedex" rule.
Anyway Poke Pegalo seems to be an interesting thing I'll use.
EDIT: Also the Spanish Pokemon Website shows the existence of the Ice Stone Evolution item.
To think the Ice Stone is introduced in hot tropical Alola. 8D
Safe bet it'll be used for Ninetales. But I hope they make it so it'll evolve Eevee into Glaceon. The location based evolutions are kinda dumb.
I feel it's unlikely that they would do that for Glaceon, an by extension Leafeon, but I'm not going to deny it's a possibility.
Don't forget magnetic Pokemon. Honestly, they could probably just reskin Magnet, make it "loved by certain Pokemon" and call it a day
Nah might as well create a new Item like with Milotic.

oh, sorry, that's what I meant, haha. But just a palette swap of Magnet, like Dubious Disc to Up-Grade. The actual idea I had was RareEarthMagnet.
What threw me off was that items like Razor Claw or Quick Claw have two effects, which I guess can work if you used Magnet anyway.
We got some Minor/Major news here, the download size of Pokemon Sun and Moon digital versions has been listed on the Japanese Pokemon Website, I'll note download size of both X and Y and ORAS digital versions as well as the ORAS demo for comparison.
X and Y
1.7GB or 13,962 Blocks
ORAS
1.8GB or 14993 Blocks
ORAS Demo
250MB or 1935 Blocks
Sun and Moon
3.2GB or 26,215 Blocks
For an even more ludicrous comparison, Xenoblade Chronicles 3D is 3.6GBs! In addition if you download this digitally along with the Demo you most likely won't have room for both in the default 4GB SD card most 3DSes, except for the original, come with according to the Japanese Website.
So yeah....this is a huge ass game here, folks......
That's the price to pay for no more chibi overworld models! 8D
The UK has gotten the trailer with the CG Legendaries today, and since it's been translated there's some more minor and major info.
The Ghost Type Z-Move is called Never Ending Nightmare and the Fighting Type Z-Move is All Out Pummeling.
However the more important news is that there is another unseen Trial Captain named Illima. Early speculation and analysis of her name seems to point to her being a Bug Type specialist.
So CoroCoro scans have leaked again, and it reveals new stuff and interesting details, which might be revealed during tomorrow's news update. Images courtesy of Serebii.net.
First up, the evolutions of Jangmo-o. Our courageous Dragon-type evolves into the Dragon/Fighting Jarango, and further evolves into Dragon/Fighting Jararanga.
Jangmo-o looks to be our Alola region puesdo-legendary.
The rest of the image just reiterates Eevee's and Pikachu's exclusive Z-moves, and the real-life Z-Bracelet that will vibrate and light up when you use a Z-Move.
Next up, we have Type: Null. If Type: Null would ever find a Trainer that it can trust, it will destroy its hindering helmet and EVOLVE into Silvadi.
Silvadi has a new Ability called AR System, which allows it to become one of any of the 18 Pokemon Types if it holds a special hold item called Memory. No news yet on whether there's just one or multiple Memory items. Once Silvadi changes type, its eyes, mane, and tail will change in colour according to the type. Silvadi also gets a new move called Multi Attack that changes type depending on its held item.
So basically... Silvadi is a poor man's Arceus.
Next up, a new Alolan forme Pokemon is revealed, the Poison/Dark Alolan Grimer.
Right beside Hau at the bottom of the image, is the first Trial Captain to be faced, Ilmia. So that totals up to 5 Trial Captains... Will 3 more be revealed!? 8D
Also, the first town is Hauori City in Japanese.
Lastly, more news on the Alolan arc of the anime.
So... Togedemaru is revealed to be Pikachu's (friendly?) rival, and the headmaster of the school that Ash attends is none other than Samson Oak.
That Grimer is really cool... It looks like what Trubbish should have been
Time for the videos!

[yt]https://youtu.be/km8HW_ut7C4[/yt]
Basically, the CoroCoro leaks are shown here as well as NEW EVOLUTIONS and NEW CHARACTERS!
So, Type: Null evolves into Silvally, has the ability RKS System, is normally a Normal-Type, and has the new exclusive move Multi-Attack. In the Japanese trailer, there are multiple Memory items, one each for each of the 18 Pokemon Types. As CoroCoro stated previously, RKS System allows Silvally to change types when it holds the various Memory items, and Multi-Attack changes type accordingly as well.
Jangmo-o evolves into Hakamo-o, and then into Kommo-o. The line keeps Bulletproof/Soundproof as abilities. Hakamo-o knows Sky Uppercut, and Kommo-o knows the new exclusive Dragon-type move Clanging Scales, which deals heavy damage but lowers its own Defense.
Something NEW!
Bounsweet evolves into the Grass-type Steenee, and then into the Grass-type Tsareena. Steenee has Leaf Guard/Oblivious, while Tsareena has Leaf Guard/Queenly Majesty. Queenly Majesty seems to stop priority moves being used on Tsareena, and it knows a new exclusive Grass-type move Trop Kick, that does damage and lowers the opponent's Attack. More waifus~
Something SEMI-NEW!
Cutiefly evolves into Ribombee, with the abilities Honey Gather/Shield Dust. Ribombee knows Draining Kiss.
With the reveal of Alolan Grimer, the videos also reveal Alolan Muk, Poison/Dark-types with Poison Touch/Gluttony. Alolon Grimer looks to know Poison Fang, and Alolan Muk Crunch. Alolan Muk so trippy... o-O
A new Trial Captain Olivia is revealed, and specialises in Rock-Types. She is the Kahuna of Akala Island, and uses a Nosepass in battle.
Ilima, leaked in the CoroCoro scans, is revealed to specialise in Normal-types.
JUST 2 MORE TRIAL CAPTAINS TO GO 8D
Lastly, there will be a special live-stream for Sun & Moon on NicoNico on 23rd October. Game footage will be shown, as well as a special Battle Royale between the hosts.
ALOLA MUK IS SO PRETTY *o*
Alola Grimer and Muk are kind of like Trubbish and Garbador but I don't mind, I like both families a lot regardless. Poison/Dark is also a very nice type too.
I also love all the Evolutions, especially Jangmo-o's, I was hoping itwas going to be a Dragon/Fighting and I'm very pleased. As long as I keep it away from Faries I think the Jangmo-o line is going to be a huge Offensive Powerhouse.
I'm still naming it Iggy though.
Steenee has those large anime eyes... All these new reveals is just making me want to play the demo. XD
Just a reminder, the demo will be out on 18th October on eShop.
I'm still wondering how we're going to get a Type-Null in the game.
Also some extremely brief Character descriptions were posted for the Sun and Moon anime, they do mention some of the Student's occupation and Ash living with Kukui, but the big thing mentioned is that Lillie can't touch Pokemon.......
Anime plot is anime plot. XD
I still subscribe that Lillie had a close encounter of the UB-kind.
As for Type: Null, given Gladion is its official user... Perhaps he will be the one to give it to you.
Probably going to be an artificial Baby one since he's shown using a Silvally.
He has multiples, all thanks to Aether!!
.........I finally got the pun of the RKS System. -AC
Good play Gamefreak.......good play.
So either Game Freak are RosenkreuzStilette fans, or we have a new official pronunciation for Arceus.
Guess I have to get used to saying Ar-kay-es instead of Ar-key-us.
Kommo-o definitely has a spot for my team! Also yes, agreed Quickie, Alolan Muk is really pretty! Tsareena looks pretty sweet. And yeah, good know that getting a 64 GB micro SD card for my New 3DS was the right idea, though I'm gonna try to get a physically of Sun or Moon anyway.
Some minor news but it seems a new Pokemon may have been leaked via a TCG Booster Box.
Looks like a cactus flower... I'm thinking Grass/Dark.
I'm thinking Water/Grass since it looks like it's in the Ocean.
Then again, Pokemon being Pokemon, it might not be part Grass. XD
The Demo will be live at 7:00 AM Pacific Time in North America, however, it's already live in other places.
Meanwhile there's some details that have already been gathered regarding some things in the Demo. Also I watched a bit of the German Version of the Demo and it seems our Protag moved to Alola from Kanto, surprise surprise. Here's what Serebii has so far.
The city is called Hau'oli City
You go for a trial in Ten Carat Hill
Edit @ 02:33: Water Shuriken is now Special
Edit @ 02:37: Battle Bond also boosts Water Shuriken's strength
The trial is to photo two Jangmo-o and two Hakamo-o, one of which is a Totem Pokémon
02:46: Z Move Power varies depending on the base move. Gigavolt Havoc from Thunderbolt is 175 base power
02:49: After initial completion, when demo is loaded you learn and can use Poké Ride through the Ride Pager
02:54: In the demo there's a Pokémon Capture Challenge where you catch wild Pokémon
Super Potion now raises HP by 60HP
The Capture Challenge yields items such as Nugget to send to the main game
03:15: A trainer takes you to Mahalo Trail where rocks block the path. Clear the rocks and you get 3 Stardust to send to the main game
03:17: Various characters reference events happening in X amount of days. One in 5 days, one in 18 days and one in 24 days. We'll post these new events as they go live
There's also a New Alolan Form Pokemon in the Demo found via PokeFinder.
BEHOLD ALOLA DUGTRIO HAS GROWN POWERFUL ENOUGH TO GAIN HAIR!
And finally the next official Announcement will be on Oct 27th.
7am pacific time? What is that in my time zone!? *googles*
And Dugtrio is now 3 times more FABULOUS~
EDIT: 10PM!? DARN IT!!

SO MUCH DATAMINES *steps on one, and explodes*
Seems the Data Mine is over, though there may be a slim chance that there could be more in the full game. A very slim chance.
Holy crap Golem has a rail gun on its back
No Alolan Hypno it seems. Son, I've never been so disappoint.
Half an hour more...
I pretty much finished the Demo for today, but I haven't found the NPC who is scared of Alola Dugtrio which unfortunately seems to be a random Spawn. Of note it's 3:30 PM and for some reason Night Time already, and my 3DS clock is completely accurate.
Also Ride Pokemon can be set with the D-Pad since you can't use the D-Pad to move your character. Also if you rotate the Circle Pad quickly and smoothly the Protag does Pirouettes.
To be honest, it was a little disorienting that the d-pad is no longer usable for protag's movement. I was like struggling for a good few minutes at the very start using the d-pad and I was like "MOVE DARNIT".
overall, it was a fun demo, got my Nugget, my Star Piece, my 3 Stardusts, and 10 Pretty Wings. Just waiting for the timed deadlines.
Also, no Alolan Dugtrio for me either.
I mean I barely used the D-Pad when I got my 3DS for moving but I understand not everyone does that.
I used Tauros quite a bit in the demo to just move around, crashing into bystanders and into buildings and such, so the choice to map to the d-pad might work for me. I'll try it when I get back.
Plus, for me, it was very instinctive for me to use the d-pad for any movement. I only used the circle pad for limited skating in XY, and sneaking for ORAS.
I'm not complaining mind you, just that I will need time to adjust, haha.
Yeah I don't blame you on that, I mean anyone who uses the D-Pad regularly for movement would need to logically adjust. I personally use the D-Pad for menus most of the time since you have to in Bravely Default.
I do need to get used to using the D-Pad in certain DS games though, in Dragon Quest 4 I somehow input the wrong commands because of the Circle Pad.
I can't figure out what I need to do on the first trial, of all things. Kukui keeps me from going deeper, and I've been running in a circle a lot and getting nothing to show. Maybe I missed something.
You need to inspect the Holes and take picture of the 2 Jangmo-o and 2 Hakamo-o. There's 3 Holes in the Cave with the 2 Jangmo-o and a Hakamo-o and outside is the last Hakamo-o. You have to battle all of them but the last one is a Totem Pokemon. I recommend having your Greninja for the Totem Fight and Pikachu take care of everything before the Totem fight.
Sounds like me on my first run through for the trial. I believe you have 2 photos of Jangmo-o by now? The third photo of Hakamo-o is along the same side of the wall of the second Jangmo-o, you'll eventually get to another hole in the wall.
Ack, Greninja'd.
Pro Tip: the Pokemon have to be within the cursor.
Kind of defeats the purpose of taking photos from various angles. :P
I WANNA TAKE A PIKACHU SLIGHTLY OFF CENTRE 8D
I'm sure you can do that in the Full Game but you'll probably get less NPC Likes.
Meh, no Instagram account, so it's fine. 8D
But yeah for the Trial the Pokemon do have to be within the Cursor otherwise the cutscene won't activate, I saw it on a livestream.
I missed a few times too.
Which makes me wonder, what happens if you use up all 6 shots making off-centre photos?
Probably just have to inspect the hole again and the shots refill.
Guess so, since demo... You can't lose in a demo! 8D
Darn that Pikachu with Electro Ball on my Ash-Greninja when at 1/3 health. I SERIOUSLY thought that I was going to lose, but Ash-Greninja hung on in the red. Not helped that the Pikachu was 5 levels higher (42 compared to my 37). >_>
If it was Charizard, I would have lost SO badly. :P
Yeah seriously [tornado fang] that Pikachu indeed.
Not being able to use the d-pad for moving my character is gonna throw my game WAAAAYYYY off. I'm exclusively a d-pad user.
Although unlikely, a choice between the d-pad or circle pad for movement would be awesome.
On the bright side at the very least we can Run the minute we play the game and don't need to get Running Shoes according to people who were able to play the Full Game for a brief amount of time at a Nintendo event.
Quote from: Dr. Wily II on October 19, 2016, 04:38:03 AM
Although unlikely, a choice between the d-pad or circle pad for movement would be awesome.
Yeah probably not going to happen since you can set Ride Pokemon on to the D-Pad. I think the reason they got rid of the D-Pad movement is because the Game isn't Grid Base anymore.
Yea, that's true.
Also, noticeable was the visible lag when there's more than 2 Pokemon on screen (Totem Hakamo-o fight), and trainer battles when the screen starts to rotate around.
Thus game is more resource heavy on the 3DS likely due to full 3D realistic model sizes. Hopefully it won't be as bad on a physical cartridge.
I didn't notice it that much, but I hear it varies. Even with 2 people with the Original 3DS only 1 of them might get Lag and the other won't so it's a weird issue.
Getting used to using the circle pad for movement is gonna be weird.
Thanks for the help guys, I didn't even see the holes and I don't recall even being told about them. Guess I was trying to breeze through too quickly xD
Also, apparent regional dex floating around, and there's Hypno~
Yeah, Hypno and Drowzee has been in a couple of trailers.
You happen to have a link for the full Regional Dex?
We got the TM Chart apparently.

Thanks.
And finally, the mystery in Lillie's Bag is.....
Mini Solgaleo/Lunala Pre-Evo whatever those forms are. We actually find this out in our first meeting with her.
It took them 2 gens, but it has finally happened.
Well for now I decided what I'll name my Pikipek.
Froot Loop for very obvious reasons....unless I can come up with something different.
The toucan really is lackluster though
I've noticed that stronger trainers have better poke balls... The amount of detail in this game is super neat.
I like how the BGM, no matter the location, has Pokemon cries mixed in, and the BGM still sounds great.
Not sure if it's "mixed in" with the BGM but the cries are certainly much more frequent than past games rather than occasionally coming out of nowhere.
Visiting the Mysterious Old Man Multiple Times/Days results in different hilarious dialog each time.
Also like the Alola Dugtrio NPC I've seen that you can meet Lillie, Sina and Dexio, and your Mom as random events. So far I've only spawned the Mom one which was close to the Clothes Shop area.
EDIT: Data Mining Dude made a Part 5.
[yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ArNdThqpWMw[/yt]

Seems even the items are getting rebalanced, and X Items are actually useful now!
Well, I have triggered the Lillie event... Which wasn't much, haha. XD
Seriously want the Alolan Dugtrio event...
Yeah the NPC events don't really add much unfortunately, but I have just found Lillie myself.
However the Hau specific one might be Sunday specific, it's by the Masalada shop.
EDIT: Okay I finally confirmed that the Alolan Dugtrio event is triggered when you see a Female NPC, like the Female NPC who sprained her ankle waiting to meet to the guy who helped her, at Ten Carat Hill in the sandy beach area. I haven't triggered it but now I know the location at last.
[yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vO_dO3mMboQ[/yt]
Revealed yesterday, but subbed today.
Just saw the sprained ankle event, the Hua event, and the Alolan Dugtrio. So FABULOUS~
So we have a bit of information from the NicoNico Stream, the first trial with Illima involes finding Alolan Ratata hiding in the cave, probably similar to Kukui's Demo Trial though I don't think it involves the Poke Finder, I haven't watched the stream.
There's also 7 Trial Captains which means along the 5 already been revealed we still have Kahili the World Conquering Golfing Champ who is a confirmed to be a unseen Trial Captain, and unnamed the patch work Ghost specialist girl since she has a Trial Symbol, with the little girl with the Musdale possibly being a Kahuna since she's not a golfer but a shepard/farm hand nor does she have a Trial symbol like the other Trial captains and the Ghost Specialist, Kahunas such as Hala and Olivia don't have symbols themselves either so Musdale girl is either a Kahuna or just a really special NPC.
The Trials are also confirms to have Z-Crystals as rewards but with 7 trials and possibly the Kahunas giving out 4 additional Z-Crystals, there's a significant amount of Z-Crystals still unaccounted for.
Finally when you catch a Pokemon Rotom Pokedex tells you the percent needed to complete the Pokedex.
There was also an instance of shaking grass and a Pokemon attacking you when you approach it but it was only shown briefly.
EDIT: I forgot Pelipper Man, that guy also seems to be a Kahuna.
Darn... There goes my 8 trial captains theory, haha. XD
7 TCs plus 4 kahunas... There's still 7 Z-crystals... Trial rematches?
You're forgetting Pokemon having exclusive Z-Moves which needs a separate crystal. Regardless I imagine the rest are gotten throughout the story like Team Skull fights, Aether Foundation, Kukui, Lillie and etc.
Also having actually watched the Nico Nico Stream they fought Totem Alolan Raticate which means they were playing Pokemon Moon. Thus I assume in Sun you have to find Yungoos instead of Alolan Ratata. You just find the Pokemon in holes and they attack you, but you don't use the Poke Finder.
I thought it's due to the basic move used for the Z-move and not the Z-crystal? Then again, there is that Munchlax giveaway...
Either way, I think trial rematches might still work.
Nope they are specific Z-Crystals, such as Snorium Z.
The move used only affect how powerful the Z-Move is and if it's Physical or Special.
We also don't know if moves such as Thunder Wave can trigger a Z-Move.
Well, unlocked the mum event... Darn it mum. XD
Small news, but the Trading Card Game has revealed, and confirmed the starter final evolutions. Image from Serebii.net.
The Japanese names for the starter final evolutions are Junaipa (ジュナイパー), Gaogaen (ガオガエン) and Ashirene (アシレーヌ) respectively.
Mermaid-waifu is a GO!

So this update turned up the Holy [parasitic bomb] factor up to maximum.
It wouldn't be a 20th Anniversary if Red and Blue don't show up after all.

I'm more happy that Cynthia finally made an appearance after her complete absence in Gen6. 8D
But indeed this update is truly up to eleven in terms of holy [parasitic bomb] revealed.
In the end I am pleased that Incineroar was indeed Fire/Dark, though I never expected Decidueye to be Grass/Ghost.
Well, I'm gonna main Popplio now in my Sun. 8D
Moon gets Rowlet. XD
At least I know who to got to for Rowlet and Popplio babies.
Thank [tornado fang]ing god Incineroar isn't Fighting type. I remember hearing rumors that it would be Dark, but I just chalked that up as denial honestly. I love that its signature move is the full Zangief. Decidueye changing from Flying to Ghost is super interesting, and I do really like the archer design. No real comment on mermaid seal waifu. Water/Fairy is kinda whatever.

That's probably my gameplan too. I'll likely start with Moon though.
[yt]https://youtu.be/0VC_GAHetj0[/yt]
The live action adventure comes to an end... But reveals some new details.
Namely, Charjabug evolves into Vikavolt at lvl40, Alolan Exeggutor has s Z-move called Breakneck Blitz, and Minior has a Z-move that literally drops a huge-ass mountain on the opponent Pokemon.
EDIT: Here's the English version, with subtitles.
[yt]https://youtu.be/JZcqvFtWyqI[/yt]
Breakneck Blitz is the Normal Type Z-Move, which has been shown with Pikachu before a couple of months ago but we only had the Japanese name, and Minior used the Rock Type Z-Move, it also confirms that Alola Exeggutor evolves like a regular Exeggutor.
But man Vikavolt must be really powerful to evolve so late.
Another thing that I forgot to mention is one of Alola Persian's Abilities is Fur Coat, that makes Alola Persian's versatility go way up since the other is still Technician.
EDIT: This is an interesting blink and you miss it screen shot from the last Train On trailer.
It seems Lillie at some point may become a Battler and slightly change her outfit even replacing her duffle bag with a backpack along with the fact that Gladion is there as well. Heck it even looks like she may have cut her hair too. There's also the fact that Gladion is there but she doesn't directly address him meaning he might not be an enemy at that place and time. Could this be part of the Post Game?
I believe it should be post-game.
Hopefully, this means we have a really huge Post Game with a lot to do like in Gen 4.
[yt]https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7TFtAihzM3c[/yt]
A new Japanese Trailer has appeared, not really any new info and seems to only give some guidelines on how to play Pokemon for the kids. We do see some new areas and scenes, Totem Whisiwashi, the Bug Z-Move and the Psychic Z-Move at least as well as Popplio using Aqua Jet, Torracat seemingly using Flame Burst maybe, and Dartrix using Energy Ball.
Also Litten being adorable, we can always use more Litten being adorable.
[yt]https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PkyPccmMdas[/yt]
Many things have changed, but dramatic North America announcer dude will always be with us.
Also they really love using those CGI Pokemon in these commercials, especially Litten.
Speaking of which I forgot to post those 3 Japanese commercials.
Huh, I have the Alolan Dugtrio event for 3 days in a roll now.
FABULOUS~
I didn't know Sina and Dexio was in the Pokemon Center, I thought they would be encountered in the city like Lillie. Even so, they just hint that something's gonna happen in Alola in the main game.
So the deadline events... The sprained ankle wasn't much, the stakeout one too.
At least the old man with his Pikachu gave you a Balm Mushroom to transfer to the main game. Only have the sending off of an NPC at the pier.
Also, Alolan Dugtrio, Day 5. XD
I haven't done any timed events yet... I guess I'll find out here if I miss anything other than mushrooms?
Yea, I have my calender up. XD
Games are leaking now...
One thing to bother me is that
Vulpix is Sun only, while with Moon I get to look forward to Sandshrew ;(

I actually heard that was a mistake and it's reversed.

Doesn't affect me much. For the moment.
Apparently that WAS the corrected listing.
In that case we need to do some trading.
So, when I loaded YouTube earlier, a recommended video was shown to me. The title was intriguing, so I watched it. Apparently, it's a video of an event in the main game of Sun & Moon.
So, I loaded the channel of the video, and apparently this person has PLAYED 10 hours of the game. The videos were all posted on the 9th of Nov.
The video I watched, part of a two-parter, had so much HUGE spoilers... It puts the darkness in BWB2W2 to shame, to me at least. Gamefreak really pulled out all stops if true.
I'm not linking it here, too spoilerific. Just take my word for it. Unless you have seen them yourself on YouTube.
So the final deadline event has the girl inside the pier center leaving the demo for good, and rewards you a Comet Shard for sending her off.
With that, all possible events have been triggered. Will still login everyday to take pictures of Alolan Dugtrio, until the main games arrive. XD
Oh awesome I thought the Pikachu birthday had the last reward.
The final rewards list is...
Greninja (after beating story mode of demo)
10 Pretty Wings (guy outside Pokemon Center)
3 Stardust (mysterious old man at Mahalo Trail)
1 Nugget (catch 3 or more Pokemon in the catching game)
1 Star Piece (from Ace Trainer after beating 3 other trainers at Ten Carat Hill)
1 Balm Mushroom (old man with his Pikachu in the Town Hall)
1 Comet Shard (Lass inside the Pier Center)
Lusamine is like Cyrus, Ghetsis and Lysandre combined, along with a bit of Queen Zeal.

So you saw.
The thing is, it's implied by Guzma that the mini-UB-01s can possess and brainwash you. Guzma was possessed by one mini, so he's still pretty much "fine". Lusamine had 5 minis, plus literal fusion with the real UB-01. And that slasher smile.
Thankfully, she's fine at the end. A woobie, unlike Ghetsis. Both Cyrus and Lysandre are debatable.

Hench the reason I mentioned Queen Zeal, the parallels are very much similar, some post game spoilers has Gladion figuring the death of her husband that probably triggered it much like Zeal and her relationship with Lavos.
CoroCoro leaks incoming! Images from Serebii.net.

A new Pokemon is revealed, and might have something to do with Solgaleo & Lunala.
2 new Ultra Beasts, version exclusives again.
Exclusive Z-moves of the Alola starters.
Decidueye's Z-move in Japanese translates to Shadow Arrows Strike, while Incineroar's in Japanese translates to Hyper Dark Crusher. Primarina's Z-move is unfortunately cut off.
So the final update for Sun & Moon before the games' release.
[yt]https://youtu.be/xguGMeEWhhs[/yt]
[yt]https://youtu.be/5-irft9XNZc[/yt]
So the localized names for the starters' exclusive Z-Moves are revealed.
Decidueye gets Sinister Arrow Raid which is Ghost-type (neutral on Primarina, super effective on Alolan Marowak).
Incineroar gets Malicious Moonsault which is Dark-type (super effective on both Decidueye and Alakazam).
Primarina gets Oceanic Operette which is Water-type (super effective on both Incineroar and Arcanine).
New Ultra Beasts are revealed, UB-03 Lighting and UB-05 Glutton.
Alolan Diglett and Alolan Dugtrio are finally revealed. They are both Ground/Steel, with the abilities Sand Veil or the new Tangling Hair. With this new ability, if Alolan Diglett/Dugtrio is hit by a physical move by the opponent Pokemon, that Pokemon's speed drops by one stage. Alolan Diglett knows Metal Claw, while Alolan Dugtrio knows Iron Head.

It's kind of strange that UB-03 doesn't have a description on the official Pokemom website.
Midnight release means the game's out here.
Early Sylveon is the best.
At least getting Sylveon is even easier than ever.
I'm going to get it on Saturday, so I have to wait 2 days.
I'm grabbing both after work today... Just another 8+ hours to go...
It'll be worth it. weekendddddd.
I usually won't start until I get the guidebook. >.>
To anyone that has started, how long into the game before I can trade with myself?
I'm assuming first trial. It's not something I'm sure on.
Well, I managed to find the answer on Serebii's forum.
It's in Iki Town after you win the Festival by beating Hau that has a Pichu and the starter weak to ours. Basically the E3 Nintendo Treehouse demo. Kukui will give the RotomDex, and that's when you get Festival Plaza for all my self-trade needs. After that, is the first trial.
According to Serebii, that's within the first hour or so.
Oh, right, I didn't open Festival Plaza yet.
A new Japanese trailer is shown, revealing the 2 Ultra Beasts that were in the latest CoroCoro scans.
[yt]https://youtu.be/THiCB-YgXiA[/yt]
Origami is UB04 Slash, and bamboo is UB04 Blaster.
Based on the vid, Slash looks to be Sun-exclusive, and Blaster is Moon-exclusive.
I don't get my games until next week. The anticipation is getting to me. I spoiled myself on how the new Pokemon evolve. Thankfully they're all pretty standard methods. No Sylveon type stuff or anything.
Seems we have some good news in that Sun and Moon will not be too [acid burst] easy. It has the Gen 5 EXP system now.
That's... Something.

So, just to be sure, you still have to knock out the Bagon before you can catch that Salamence right?
Yea, as long as the Salamence itself doesn't call, which it did...
There's another cool encounter, too, with Eevee calling the appropriate day/night evolution. The Umbreon got knocked out, but after that, I looked on Serebii, a lot of the good ones are 5% or less, so I might just be lucky.
I guess this SOS Battle feature is to help players fill up the PokeDex more easily, without the grinding some will need.
It also helps with EV grinding and shiny hunting.
From what I'm reading, it's the new chain method, as well. If you keep the same species being called, they will eventually have higher IVs or have the HA
Just leaving this post here so I can keep an eye on this topic easier.
There's also some Pokemon that only appear in an SOS battle wild. I think Salamence is one, but I got Clefairy and Chansey via that too.
Yeah there is, and there's even ones that only show up in specific weather conditions.
Has there been ANY news on the official names for the player characters? >.>
Well, it may be a safe bet to assume the male player character is called 'Sun', since that's what he's called in the special demo.
Well, Brendan was named Orlando in the ORAS demo, so I'm doubtful. Though I can use it for my plans later...
Nah there hasn't been word on that yet.
I hope it will be revealed by 5th Dec... -_-
Once again, I'm derping around rather than playing the storyline. Plot progression? Naaaahhhh, I'm gonna backtrack now that I have False Swipe. Trials? Noooope, too busy goofing off and playing in the Festival Plaza for stuff.
Drowzee are found on Route 2, by the way. I found mine near the cemetary.
I don't quite get Festival Plaza yet.
I just beat the first trial. And now that I caught a Diglett, most of my team is set. Just waiting on a good water type. And I'm flip flopping on whether to keep around my Growlithe or my Cutiefly.
Festival Plaza is just Join Avenue from BW2 revamped. You encounter people randomly and get FC (Festival Coins) for helping them (if their names are red when you get near them) and spend those on the attractions. These range from dying white clothes (at the Team Color shops), raising your Pokemon's levels (at the Kitchens), or getting items. The more FC you get from visitors, the higher level your plaza becomes. And as you level that up you'll gain benefits such as asking for new shops from visitors, getting their clothes, or renaming the plaza entirely.
I like the Festival Plaza and spend far too much time getting FC so I can get items. Got a whole bunch of Rage Candy Bars and I'm getting most of my PokeBalls there.
It'd probably be better to save up FC since 1. this game throws money at you, and 2. there's Version Exclusive Shops you can get from the NPCs who have your opposite Version and the clothes also have version exclusive colors and a 3 star Dye shop from an NPC is 400 FC.
I believe throwing Pyukumuku daily is the best in terms of monetary gains.
So, can I get a confirmation that Festival Plaza is after you get the RotomDex?
After you get to the 1st Pokemon Center which is after you get the Rotom Dex, and by that I mean after the Rotom goes into the Dex.
Hmm... The first Pokemon Center is the same one that was initially blocked by a Tauros right?
Yeah it should be.
I have a couple evolution trades I need to do later. -w-
I love how you can go into anyone's house and lay in their bed.
It was customary in Kanto after all. 8D
It's not the barging in, though, as I go into everyone's house to look through their stuff. It's the beds. You just walk in and lay down and get comfy.
Me: *walks into a house*
Owner: What're you--
Me: Shut up. *sees bed* Oh yeah~ *flops down*
Owner: Get out of my house.
Me: *sniffs* It smells like the ocean... and skin...~
Owner: I'm calling the police.

I dunno, I think I'm gonna keep both Growlithe and Cutiefly on my team. Not having a water type is weird, but Crabrawler does know water moves. Other three on my team are Dartrix, Diglett, and Pikachu. My Pichu felt like it took forever to get happy, despite me running everywhere and putting it in the front of the party for a long time.
I don't even know what I'm doing for team options. I'm in the water trial right now, and the only Pokemon I've really locked in are Dartrix and Bagon, the rest of the team are just things I'm using for coverage.
The problem is either I'm not liking any of the Pokemon I'm finding, or I want to try something different. Charjabug has actually disappointed me.
So I guess I'm going to be having a lot of intermediates. Strong jaw Bruxish looks good on paper, if I catch Gyara after this trial for breeding ice fang onto it later on.
Already beat it lol
Great game, ended with my team being:
Incineroar
Snorlax
Lampent
Slowbro
Toucannon
Leafeon
Oh, Slowbro! Why didn't I think of that!
My Mudsdale does a lot of heavy lifting, Stamina is such a great ability for her.
Haven't even started, and I think I have my Sun team up, haha.
Decidueye
Incineroar
Primarina
Magnezone/Alolan Raichu
Palossand/Alolan Dugtrio
Kommo-o
For Moon... Still working on it, but I think it will be...
Primarina
Snorlax
Toucannon
Tsareena
Salazzle
Alolan Sandslash
My team currently is:
Robin Hoot the Dartrix
LaffyTaffy the Grimer
James the Drowzee
Woodie the Trumbeak
Drumpfette the Yungoos
Buddy the Meowth
Right now, I'm backtracking and catching things.
I beat the Elite Four and became the Champion on Tuesday with this team:
Oliver the Decidueye
Shredder the (Alolan) Raichu
Trailblazer the Talonflame
Vanilla the (Alolan) Ninetales
Bojangles the Komm-O
Solgaleo, who was just there to fill up the sixth slot.
WAAAAAAAY late Wednesday night (or EARLY Thursday morning), I became champ myself. Don't specifically remember what half of my team was, so I'll add on the list after I check in on my mons again.
In the meantime, I'm starting to work on catching duplicate version-exclusives for trading to someone with Sun version.
Which reminds me... I have 4 UB-02 Beauties, 3 of them being extras. Anyone with Sun got a UB-02 Absorbtion/Buzzwole to spare?
I have a life you guys, I'm still at the volcano path looking for Salandit, haha.
Breeding a modest female Salandit takes ages...
I just got to the 4th island, I'm not sure when I can get my Jangmo-o.
Ended up with two good Salandits, that didn't take as long as I thought...
And I remembered my champion team!
Bentham the Primarina
Erin the Snorlax
Nebby the mascot
Lizzy the Alolan Raichu
Cassandra the Absol
Opal the Salazzle
Bentham was the only male.
I ship my Dartrix with my friend's Primarina. They're both male.

Attention!
The Global Mission for catching 100 million Pokemon is live! We have to get this by Dec 12th so everyone can get 2,000 FC, if we fail we will get no less than 100 FC.
Be sure you register with the Hula dancing lady in the Festival Plaza inside the Palace!
Note that you need to do Game Sync first, so that the mission is downloaded to your game. Then speak to the lady.
To update your catches into the grand total, Game Sync again.
If all goes well, you can get to lvl24 for your Plaza, just based on the maximum 2000FC reward.
Actually, I double checked on the Global Link and Serebii was wrong, the reward is 1000 FC not 2000 FC.
Well... At least you still can get to lvl15 with that 1000FC.
Well I'm at like 14 now so I should jump a few ranks.
I'm getting a bit impatient with the canon names... I might just name mine Eilo (m), Selene (f), Sun (m) and Moon (f). And I'll play both games as the female protag. >_>
Helios and Luna!
Yeah I think one of the girls should be named Luna and the other Selene.
Helen for Sun, Luna for Moon.
Selene (sun), Luna (moon), Elio (trade sacrifice), Taiyo (trade sacrifice).
And if TVTropes is to be believed... There is no official name for them. Like Leaf. And Silver.
I think it took a while for Hilbert and Hilda's names to be known so they could still get them.
Like I said, impatient. >_>
Gonna start on 1st Dec, after grabbing Meloetta.
Just completed Mallow's trial... Wow that was an experience. And then the totem fight was simply ridiculous.
Been breeding like crazy. Bred some mons with 5 perfect IVs.
Finally started Sun last night, current team:
lv9 Rowlet
lv8 Pichu
lv6 Pikipek
lv6 Caterpie
Currently grinding a bit before the festival battle with Hau.
After much walking around, finally got my Pichu to evolve into Pikachu at lv10. And got to the Pokemon Center to activate Quick Link.
Also started Moon, with Popplio chosen. Currently self-trading PokeBalls. XD
Hatched a shiny Zubat.
EDIT: Hatched a second shiny Zubat five minutes later. WTF?
Can I have the other? XD
I'm probably gonna start breeding for shinies (since I don't really care much about IVs) once I complete the Alola Dex (which shouldn't be too much longer). At 235/300, 118/120 for Melemele itself, and the only Moon exclusives I'm missing are Lunala and Drampa (and I'll get those from my fiance).
Sun has #SealtheDeal, time to #GetLit in Moon.
Finished the Melemele Dex earlier tonight, starting on wrapping up the Akala Dex.
And done. Sun has all 3 starters, and Moon can finally be played proper with Popplio.
Anybody have a Razor Claw to spare or a weavile for dex trade?
The QR code for Magearna is now out on the official Pokemon website. (http://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-news/nows-your-chance-for-magearna/)
In order to collect it, you need to first become the Alola Champion. Then scan the code using the in-game QR Scanner, and then head to the Hau'oli Mall's Antiquities store to collect from a deliveryman.
On the site, it's stated the code does not expire, and there's no need to rush through the game. I'm still going to target a 31st Dec deadline for myself. XD
Side note: the mall is just east of the Pokemon Center in town, and the store is up the stairs and to the right (you can also buy some of Arceus's plates there)
I've read that Magearna can be synchronized, too
Speaking of synchronize... Anyone has a neutral nature Abra (Bashful, Hardy, Quirky, Serious, Docile) with Synchronize? I only have Abras at the moment to trade, still at Melemele Island. >.>
How will Sinnoh play a role in Gen VII? Considering that the remakes aren't too far off from Sun and Moon, how will the events of a potential Diamond/Pearl/Platinum remake tie into the events of the Aiola? I know Heartgold and Soulsilver remakes had that Sinjoh region where you can meet with Cynthia.
I honestly don't think there's going to be DP remakes until we get Gen 8 on the Switch, however, I could still theorize some elements from Gen 6 and 7 that could show up in the inevitable DP remakes such as more Ride Pokemon, some Ultra Beast connections with Giratina and the Distortion/Reverse World as well as Arceus, Team Galactic studying heavily into Infinity Energy like Devon so wreck up some more [parasitic bomb], more Mega Evolutions because honestly I doubt they're done with that, maybe some more regional variants, and the Creation Trio and Arceus getting something similar to Primal Reversions that make them even more ridiculously more powerful.
On that note, the future Gen 5 remakes will make the true form of Kyurem possible. 8D
Buff Giratina-Origin and give Dialga/Palkia their own. Hell, adapt Primal Dialga from MD, even.
Or just don't expect GameFreak to confine to a pattern since they've continued to break them over the last few games.

Well, I beat Olivia, backtracked to Ten Carat Hill, and managed to catch a Hardy male Machop. So I have started breeding him with a female Abra I caught.
I'm sorry if I have caused inconveniences...
So... Does anyone aside from Wily have Sun version? I don't wanna mess with his pokedex getting Solgaleo too early (or spoiling plot if it hasn't already for him).
I have Sun.
Gotten through the main story?
Only 2 mons away from completing the 'dex, waiting on my fiance to give me his Lunala and a Drampa.
Someone catch me an extra Drampa, please? I really want Falkor...
Well, my request is for someone with Sun to evolve my cosmoem with a rare candy I have equipped to it.
I can catch/breed you a Falkor, Quickie.
I'm in the middle of the Elite Four right now. My team is Decidueye, Raichu, Ribombee, Arcanine, Dugtrio, and Crabominable, all around Level 60. Had a relatively simple time throughout the game so far. Only time that had me ripping my hair out was trying to catch Magby of all things.
I'm at the Elite 4 too, was busy training a Kommo-O from an Egg. Other than that I'm mid 50 to late 50's with my team.
Incineroar, Raichu, Toucannon, Mudsdale, Alolan Nintales which I raised from an Egg I got from a Trade, and Kommo-O.
Plowing through Route 11 in Sun. My team... Is pretty much there.
Sandygast lv40, Alolan Raichu lv42, Toucannon lv41, Decidueye lv42, Primarina lv42, Incineroar lv42.
Lessee... So far I have either seen or caught everything except solgaleo.
I attempted a Galvanize Graveler search. I was not prepared...
Yeah, I kinda gave up on trying to find one...
Also, still need help getting a solgaleo. >3>
Can't you just GTS an extra Ultra Beast for one?
I could, but not after the effort I put into raising Nebulon (aka Nebby Jr, my cosmoem).
Boy I got complacent after my last post. The Champion kicked my ass. And a lot of the post game fights had me using Revives all the time. But I'm done with most of that now, my team all around 75. Mostly some Pokedex filling for now, save for a few I'll actually use when I play Sun down the line.
Waiting to see if I can get a Solgaleo over GTS. Put up one of the many Pheromosa I had to catch, no one's biting yet. Only other version exclusives I still need are the fossils, which shouldn't be a problem cause I just hatched dupes to trade.
Most of what I've seen for solgaleos in GTS are wanting either guzzlord, lvl 90+ Lunala, or Lvl 90+ pokemon that you can only get from island scan.
Yep, sounds like GTS alright. Basically keeping Pokemon hostage with ludicrous ransoms. I at least have both versions, so getting one off GTS isn't a big deal.
You can actually turn off offers for Legendaries in the page when you are entering what Pokemon you are looking for on the bottom right button. It's a weird place to put it but at least they finally did something so you don't have to put up with sifting through some of the BS.
My first legit wild shiny caught by myself since gen 4: Pisuke the caterpie. -will post a pic or two later before making him evolve to butterfree-
My fiance finally beat the game, meaning I finally completed my 'dex. I can now try to hatch some shinies. :D
Currently grinding some Pokes I bred.
Sonic the Alolan Sandslash, (Also bred a Ninetales I named "Miles")
Rez the Polygon-Z
Crabominable
McGrubber the Vikavolt
Zinger the Togedemaru
Hugo the Primarina
You happen to have some extra Slush Rush Sandshrews?
I have reached Mt. Lanakila in Sun, but I'm not tackling the League yet. Team-wise: Decidueye lv63, Alolan Raichu lv61, Palossand lv62, Toucannon lv62, Primarina lv62, Incineroar lv62.
As for Moon, currently on my way to Po Town. Team-wise: Tsareena lv45, Vikavolt lv46, Salazzle lv45, Primarina lv45, Crabominable lv45, Mystery Gift Snorlax lv44. Late-game evolutions all thanks to Sun.
How is Tsareena holding up?
I had the traded Bounsweet as a temporary team member and it did pretty well. It came with Splash so you can use Z-Splash. However it is one of those Pokemon that are hard to raise but evolving at level 29 isn't to bad, just make sure she learns Stomp.
I have a psuedo-competetive team bred and EV trained, ready to raid the Battle Tree after some level grinding after I finish my dex. Which reminds me of an earlier question...

I like her. Stats-wise... Her attack is more than 3x her level, so I'm very happy with that. Speed is more than 2x her level, so she isn't too slow. Defenses are about 1.5x, so... It is a bit flail.
But I love mangosteens so yea. Gonna let her learn Hi Jump Kick when it comes.

SOS hunting is getting on my nerves. Espeon took me an hour and 45 minutes to show up. I gave up on Castform and traded for it. It hasn't hailed for Vanillite or Vanillish yet. And I've been looking for Snorlax on and off for two days. It has never shown up. A shiny Munchlax popped up before Snorlax.
Oddly I had no problem with some of the other nasty ones, like Hakamo-o and Salamence.
With vanillite and vanillish, if it isn't hailing you gotta make it hail, which adds a whole new level of frustration.
Yeah I'm just gonna wait for it to automatically hail.
Finally got that Snorlax. RNG was just [tornado fang]ing me over big time. I'm sure people have gotten him to show up without issue.
Could also breed one for ya.
Yea, Hakamo-o showed up pretty easy for me too. Finding Jangmo-o is another thing altogether.
I was also half expecting Mareanie and Sableye to be a bit more difficult... But they both appeared on the first call for help. Poor Corsola and Carbink...
Was trying out the Battle Royale as well... DARN.
The RNG-ness of the whole thing is mind-boggling.
I tried manually setting Hail to get Vanillite and Vanillish. They appeared pretty easily. So I'm done with weather. It's better to just buy a Water Stone for Poliwrath, and I can use my Sun version to get a second King's Rock for Politoed.
Finally became the Alola Champion in Sun, with Decidueye lv70, Incineroar lv69, Primarina lv69, Toucannon lv68, Alolan Raichu lv68, Palossand lv68.
I knew the Tapu Koko fight is forced, so I saved at the Champion room before sitting on the throne.
Sun is going on break as I'm going to focus on grinding my Moon team for the Elite 4.
Those levels... are they overkill or do you actually need them?! Because that's insane.
I think the Final Boss is like 63, but he's tough so it might be needed. Again this game is not easy, it's up there with Gen 5.
Edit: Nope 58, so yeah that's kind of overkill.
Overkill? Oh no. The final boss still gave me trouble.
Plus I needed the levels to tank Tapu Koko.
True, I mean I was Late 50's-Early 60's and the entire League was a uphill struggle.
Collected all 100 Zygarde Cores and Cells and assembled my Power Construct Zygarde in Sun.
Was also aiming for a Happiny at Route 1 via SOS in Sun... Instead, I got a Shiny Pikipek. Not complaining.
Got a Galvanize Geodude on Wonder Trade, OMG SO HAPPY NOW.
BREED AND SPREAD THE LOVE
In Sun... I became the new Buffet Queen. Ok then.
In Moon... Beat the game with Snorlax lv67, Vikavolt lv67, Primarina lv68, Tsareena lv67, Salazzle lv67 and Crabominable lv67. Went without saving prior to catch Tapu Koko... Man, Snorlax wasn't special sponging hard enough lol.
Currently filling my Pokedex. All the grinding has come from Poni Plains and nearby high level stuff. If a Riolu shows up, I let it SOS for Chansey. Only have about 20 or so things to level up. Type: Null is really taking his sweet time getting happy. Did he start at [tornado fang]ing 0 or something? All stone evolutions are done save for Petilil. Waiting on another Sun Stone from Poke Pelago.
Also started doing Island Scans. Evolving/breeding them isn't as big a priority.
Type: Null actually does start at 0 friendship.
Oh. That settles that then. Yuck.
My Pokedex won't actually be complete until I play Sun. I plan to use Primarina, Vikavolt, and Salazzle on my team then, so I'll just beat the game then trade them over to the main Moon version. Not completely sure what else I'd use. Leaning towards Midday Lycanroc, and would like a Steel type and a Dark type.
::edit:: Upon further inspection, Lycanroc's move pool is a bit thin for me. I think a Ground type will suit me better. Mudsdale looks good. My Dark type will be Persian, and my Steel type will be Skarmory, which I'll breed in my Moon version.
Yea, Type: Null. Soothe Bell helps. If you have the hot springs in Poke Pelago, you can leave it in there for short periods of time. Or exploit the Paniola Ranch circle.
Also, apparently I have better luck encountering the very rare Pokemon of a route in my Moon than in my Sun.
There are also berries that increase friendship at the cost of gained EVs, so spam them before doing any training and BOOM! Max friendship!
I had a Friendship Cafe in my Festival Plaza. That was the bulk of his happiness. The rest was 20 something levels while I grinded everything else. And yes he did have the Soothe Bell the entire time. It did evolve earlier today, so all is well.
I forgot to catch a new Lillipup after I traded the first one I caught. So when organizing my boxes, I was stumped when I couldn't find it. Now I only need my Sun version to evolve the rest of my mons, except for Petilil who I'm still waiting for another Sun Stone.
Me in Moon, Poni Grove.
>oh a riolu, must catch
>snorlax used hold back
>riolu 1 hp
>riolu called for help
>CHANSEY
>FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
>catch chansey instead
Finished the UB post quest, and caught Necrozma in Sun. Only have the Battle Royale and Battle Tree left.
Details of the next Global Mission have been revealed.
We are to use the Island Scan within the QR Scanner to catch or defeat 1,000,000 Pokémon. The mission will run from December 27th 2016 04:00 UTC to January 9th 2017 23:59 UTC.
The rewards are as follows: 2,017 FC if successful, 217 FC if failed.
If your game is linked to a Global Link account, you instead get 4,034 FC if successful, 434 FC if failed.
Sounds doable, since the last mission hit 17 million... Although you technically can only do one Island Scan per day...
Well guys, I finally got a Pokemon Sun thanks to my older brother as an early birthday gift.
JOIN USSSSSSSSSS
Also, did anyone managed to SOS a Gengar?
I tried once with Tapu Koko. Didn't have the patience or resources.
I tried 3 times, all ended with Haunter using Struggle. Even changed between Haunters.
Guess I'll just trade for one.
Not looking forward to SOS a Politoed either, haha.
So Pokemon Bank finally has compatibility with the Sun/Moon games. Launch the program, and update it to ver. 1.3 through the eShop. It requires 496 blocks of memory. The PokeMiles and Battle Points system is still intact, so no need to worry about grabbing them for your ORASXY before the update.
Launch the Poke Transporter next, and also update it through the eShop to ver. 1.1. This requires 420 blocks of memory. With this update, you can now transport your Virtual Console Gen1 Pokemon to Sun/Moon. The Pokemon may have their Hidden Abilities, and they will have at least 3 max IVs. These transferred Pokemon will have a Gameboy icon in their profile page, unlike AlolaDex Pokemon that have a clover icon. Do note that any glitched Mew you get in your VC Gen1 games will NOT transfer successfully.
Once everything is updated, when you log into Bank, if you still have your subscription up, Brigdette will give you a Mewnium Z. Give it to a legit Mew with Psychic to unleash its special Z-Move, Genesis Supernova.
Lastly, unrelated to the above, but a new Global Mission is announced, that will start on 31 January 2017 and end on 14 February 2017. The mission is to do trades over the GTS. No other information is known at this point.
Also as a warning, DO NOT do a Trade Evolution with Gen 1 VC Pokemon that results in getting a not Gen 1 Pokemon once you transfer it to Sun or Moon. Otherwise you won't get it back because it claims it's an illegal Pokemon. Hopefully Gamefreak addresses this soon.
EDIT: Also there is no National Dex in the game.
Yea, the NationalDex is viewable on Bank itself.
All those QR codes you scanned previously of non-AlolaDex Pokemon for the previous Global Mission? Not recorded in the NationalDex. You have to scan them NOW to record them.
It also has various other adventure game stats like number of Eggs hatched, etc.
I'm mad about that, I wanted to see what Rotomdex said about Rotom.
So Gamefreak decided to distribute the missing Mega Stones.......by making them participation prizes for online tournaments.......the first 2 will be the Mawhile and Beedrill Stones for the Late February one.......
So they basically flip the bird on causal players for the moment
THANKS A LOT I BETTER GET MY MEGA-TRAPEVOIR IN THE NEXT GAME :W
It's a parcipation prize, so you can still get one if you enter and lose, right?
Also, I traded for a shiny Rowlet. Had to trade one of my prized Tyranitars, but no regrets!
Never participated in an online tournament. *shrug*
So the GTS Global Mission has gone online, and details are as follows:
To beat the Mission, over 1,000,000 Pokémon need to be traded. This Mission will end on 14th Feb 2017 23:59 UTC.
Rewards are 2,000 FC if successful, 200 FC if failure. If the game is tied to a Global Link account, then it's 4,000 FC if successful, 400 FC if failure. Additionally, if you manage to make 5 or more trades on the GTS during the Mission, you will receive a Rare Candy and if a total of 2,000,000 Pokémon are traded, then all participants get a Friend Ball.
Argh... GTS huh...

Yes it's a participation prize.....the problem is actually entering is a literal [tornado fang]ing crapshoot......
Decided to try and catch a Shiny Pichu via SOS chaining. Managed to get two, though it took nearly 100 turns on each attempt. I was trying to get one with a Timid or Modest nature via Synchronize.
Wow that's lucky.
I managed to SOS a Shiny Pipipek, and a Shiny Magmar.
Both times I was SOS-Ing for something else (Happiny, and then I realized my chain was wrong, and a NORMAL Magmar).
Looks like the Pokemon Company will be distributing the missing Mega Stones to players via code. Excellent.
Oh, and I finally hatched a shiny Rowlet. Female. Modest nature with five perfect IVs. Decided to name her, "Artemis."
Yeah thank goodness not all of them will be tournaments. :|
Speaking of which registration for the one with the 2 Mega Stones is tomorrow.
Is Gardevoirite code or tourney!?
We don't know, and I also don't know whether the ones from the tourney will become available later since I can't find where the Pokemon Company stated this and Serebii's wording is slightly vague in that regard.
All should be code to be honest. Tourney can be the preview if they so want it.
*yoinks to Serebii and the main site*
Well, based on what Serebii says, it is implied that tourneys are indeed previews, and the rest of the players will get the tourney stones about 1-2 months later.
If so, then I won't bother with entering the current tourney.
Okay that's a lot better.
That's my interpretation of Serebii anyways. Have not found it on either official sites.
So the next global mission has started, where you need to earn BPs from the Battle Tree. BPs earned from the Battle Royal or from PokeBank do not count. This mission will run until 14th March 2017, 23:59 UTC.
The target is 250,000 BPs. If successful, you get 4,000 FCs (or 2,000 FCs if your game is not connected to a PGL account). If failure, you get 400 FCs (or 200 FCs if your game is not connected to a PGL account).
If you earn more than 3 BPs, you also get 5 Rare Candies. If a total of 500,000 BPs are collected, you get a Heavy Ball as well.
So get battling!
... Like Usain Bolt!
[yt]https://youtu.be/l7ETpcylnR4[/yt]
Not even the first day and it's almost finished. Serebii has recorded it at 227k.
Yea, it was indeed that when I registered for the mission after making my post. Getting 500,000 BP should be no issue.
Great news!
As of this time, the 500,000 BP target has been reached. So all you need to do is register for the mission, and earn 3 BPs at the Battle Tree to get 4,000 FCs (or 2,000 FCs if your game isn't connected to a PGL account), 5 Rare Candies and a Heavy Ball at the end of the mission.
The serial code for the previous Global Mission of 5 Rare Candies and 1 Heavy Ball is now up in the Pokemon Global Link. Login to your account there, and click the announcement inside.
The latest Global Mission is now live, and it's all about hatching eggs, 200,000 Eggs in fact. Rewards are 2,000 FC (Success), 200 FC (Failure) - If the game is tied to a Global Link account: 4,000 FC (Success), 400 FC (Failure). This Mission runs until April 10th 2017 23:59 UTC.
If you hatch 3 or more Eggs, then you will earn a Rare Candy and if 400,000 Eggs are hatched, all players with a PGL account will get a Love Ball.
So get hatching!
P.S. Magikarp are the quickest to hatch from an egg, so spam that.
P.P.S If you have not unlocked the IV app for your PC in-game (like me), use this chance to hatch more than 21 eggs!
Nice. I have a bunch of things I need to breed in order to fill out my Living Pokedex, so this works out pretty well.
I was breeding Burmy last week in order to get all forms of Wormadam. I was getting so many males. I think my 12th or so hatch was finally a female. That's ridiculous on a 50/50 Pokemon like that. I think I bred a female Salandit faster than that.
Welcome to my Sun VIP List, Sakura. 8D
And Moon too. XD
The previous global mission prize of 5 Rare Candies and 1 Love Ball is currently available on the PGL. Don't forget to claim it before 31st May 2017.
The latest Global Mission is now live, and it's all about collecting Poke Beans from the Poke Pelago, 3,000,000 Poke Beans in fact. Rewards are 2,000 FC (Success), 200 FC (Failure). If the game is tied to a Global Link account, it is instead 4,000 FC (Success), 400 FC (Failure). This Mission runs until May 8th 2017 23:59 UTC.
If you collect 30 or more Poke Beans, then you will earn a Rare Candy and if 6,000,000 Poke Beans are collected, all players with a PGL account will get a Level Ball.
So get collecting!
So we're getting Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon on November 17th, which unusually is a 3rd version but with 2 versions.
It will have the standard more Pokemon that weren't in the previous versions, as well as Solgaleo and Lunala fused with Necrozma.
On a side note we also have Pokken Deluxe on Switch and Pokemon Gold and Silver on the VC. Oddly no Crystal though.
Darn, I wasn't expecting a Black2/White2 scenario so soon...

I guess they noticed that on 1st gen everyone got Yellow and didn't want to repeat? That means no Extremespeed Dratini, though. Oh well, VC transfers are horrid since you can't predict Natures.
Pokken DX is nice since the Wii U wasn't getting the arcade's updates, so there should be some substantial new content there. I never did get around to the original.
Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon... It's not that they look bad, it's just that honestly I'm ready for the 3DS to die. I get that the demand is there and it only makes sense from a business perspective, but once you get your hands on a Switch it's really hard to go back, ESPECIALLY for RPGs which are games that demand long hours (a shame because I really really like the looks of Ever Oasis). They could have done one 3DS version and one Switch version like they did with the first Mystery Dungeon on GBA/DS.
There is actually a way to manipulate Natures of the VC Gen 1 Pokemon, it's based on the last digit of their EXP oddly enough.
http://serebii.net/games/natures.shtml (http://serebii.net/games/natures.shtml)
We finally got some new information since the initial trailer, there's gonna be a 3rd Lycanroc form called the Dusk Form.

Can anyone help me find a Feebas? Feebas is hard to catch in any Pokemon games.

As usual, GameFreak makes sure that the elite can break the game. I should have guessed. However it also seems to reroll IVs randomly (They couldn't have just doubled the Gen1 IVs and cloned Special?). I mean, three perfect guaranteed is nothing to sneeze at, if you want breeding fodder, but to use the actual Pokemon you had originally it's still a small gamble.
Well, whatever, I'm off the Pokemon train until it comes to Switch. I'm trying to avoid insanely long play times on my 3DS anymore, hoping to not have to carry multiple systems around.

New videos have been uploaded for Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, showing the protagonists' new clothes, and a new map of Alola... With a ominous opening above Poni Island.
New locales abound, and looks like Elite Four Kahili, and Champion challenger Ryuki will be a bit more involved in the story.
And it looks like Ash's Rockruff could be the Wifi event for the games' release.
The last few Mega Stones are out, and it's been revealed all the codes will expire by Halloween.
Here's an infographic from Reddit with all the codes
(https://i.redd.it/kkokmsauwokz.png)
Noted, I think I got most of them.
I hope that they are more easily available in Ultra.
Yeah me too, I mean ugh having to buy all those Mega Stones for 64 BP a pop?
New information has been revealed for Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Quite a bit actually.
So it's stated that Necrozma captured Solgaleo and Lunala to gain its new formes Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma respectively. Was Necrozma evil all along, or just wanted to be complete like Kyurem?
New version exclusive Ultra Beasts. UB: Burst for Ultra Sun, and UB: Assembly for Ultra Moon. These guys are even more eldritch.
A special Rockruff will be the early bird WiFi gift, and will know either Fire Fang in Ultra Sun, or Thunder Fang in Ultra Moon. This Rockruff will only be able to evolve into the recently revealed Dusk Form Lycanroc. And a new exclusive Z-move is revealed that is shared between the 3 Lycanroc forms: Splintered Stormshards, which besides dealing massive damage, seems to have the secondary effect of removing whether "terrain" has been set up, as seen in the battle with Tapu Koko.
And if you preorder the VC version of Pokemon Gold and Silver, you will be able to get Celebi into Ultra Suna and Ultra Moon. Details likely in the future.
Lastly... Most importantly... SURFBOARDS.
Have a nifty poster.
Now that I have gotten some sleep I have noticed there are 4 figures shadowed over on the top and have outlined them in paint.
Ash's Pikachu is live, through the code PIKACHU20
Though, I'll wait a few weeks for the Unova hat, due to Volt Tackle
Yea, I'm not sure why the code is shared for all the Pikachus...
I want all of them, not one of them!! :W
Not so much the code, as all the mystery gifts being the same ID.
Well... Sacrifice a game card to catch em all!!

In The Games Department
Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon
The magazine CoroCoro Ichiban has revealed a new piece of Merchandise, a Deluxe version of the Rotom Pokédex toy. This Pokédex toy doesn't reveal much, but on the screen it shows Dusk Mane Necrozma with the Pokédex Number of 400 rather than the 300 it had in Sun & Moon. This follows on from the alteration of Alola Pokédex number for Rockruff from 103 to 126 indicating a shift in Pokémon available in the Alola Pokédex. We'll provide full details as they come
Guess that means the Alola Pokedex has reshuffled and there are new additions since SunMoon.
Matches with the whole alternate storyline.
I just want a full National Pokedex in USUM.
I NEED TO HEAR WHAT ROTOMDEX SAYS ABOUT HIMSELF DAMMIT
New info has been released.

The Island Challenge is back, with some changes. Like Mina finally having a proper trial, and a Totem Alolan Marowak. Footage shows there are changes to Sophocles' and Mallow's trial as well.
The Alola Photo Club is shown, where you can choose poses and add accessories.
New Pokemon can be found, including Tropius, Zorua, Larvesta, Larvitar, Houndoom in Ultra Sun and Manectric in Ultra Moon.
Lastly, a new PokeRide called the Mantine Surf. Using this, you can finally surf between the islands on top of Mantine like a surfboard. You can even perform tricks on the rolling waves like a real surfboarder!!
A new Japanese trailer has been released.
[yt]https://youtu.be/VqY9IgZM0zc[/yt]
So, one of the mysterious new characters is named Zionira, and talks about hie Necrozma is affecting Alola by stealing light. Guzma returns, and as well as Xurkitree and Guzzlord returns.
Two more videos have been released, these expand on the mysterious new characters...
[yt]https://youtu.be/bucxOT8zudk[/yt]
[yt]https://youtu.be/1p8nBXLQMPs[/yt]
Now you can ride on Solgaleo and Lunala to play some sort of Ultra Wormhole minigame to enter various kinds of Ultra Spaces, and battle the various Ultra Beasts within. Encountered ones include Nihilego, Buzzwole, Pheromosa and Xurkitree.
Apparently you will enter an alternate dimension, in it there's a city called Ultra Megalopolis, where Nercozma has stolen the light. This is the headquarters of the Ultra Recon Squad, the four mysterious characters that was revealed in a poster a few weeks back. They are named Dulse, Zossie, Soliera, and Phyco. You battle 2 of 4 in each game (Dulse and Zossie in Ultra Sun, Soliera and Phyco in Ultra Moon) and they seem to battle using a new Ultra Beast, UB Adhesive.
UB Adhesive is a pure Poison-type, with Beast Boost. UB Burst is revealed to be Fire/Ghost, with Beast Boost and a new move called Mind Blown. It deals Fire-type or Ghost-type damage, but UB Burst receives heavy recoil damage. UB Assembly is Rock/Steel with Beast Boost, and knows Iron Defense and Wide Guard.
I was interested in USUM before, but now they definitely have my attention.
Also I'm glad Cyborg Waluigi is gonna be in Ultra Moon.
Ultra Moon will be my main version to play! ^_^
Looking awesome and the music is beautiful!
Completely forgot I have a Celebi code to use. Guess I'll play Ultra with a Celebi on my team, then!
New CoroCoro pages up on Serebii... I'll let someone else do the honors, but all I'll say is...
Zzrrt! It's bonding time!
As well as some remnants of O-Powers, at least the EXP boost one. So Rotom finally gets his own Z-Powers haha.
I'll wait til the rest of the Coro Coro stuff is revealed since this is just the initial leak, but yeah I really like what we see so far with the Rotom Dex's new functionality.
Dawn Wings' variant signature move wasn't revealed, so I guess they're still holding out on a few things.
New videos.
[yt]https://youtu.be/Uq11wlyxuwk[/yt]
[yt]https://youtu.be/TYx1JGUB1GI[/yt]
So these videos basically confirm the CoroCoro leaks.
Dusk Mane (DM) Necrozma is Psychic/Steel with Prism Armor, Dawn Wings (DW) Necrozma is Psychic/Ghost with Prism Armor. Both formes have the signature move Photon Geyser, which is a Psychic-typed move. It apparently compares Att and SpAtt stats, and then uses the higher stat when computing damage. Meaning, DM's will be physical, while DW's will be special.
Signature Z-moves for Necrozma formes are also revealed. Using Sunsteel Strike, DM Necrozma gets Searing Sunraze Smash. Using Moongeist Beam, DW Necrozma gets Menacing Moonraze Maelstrom. Both moves ignore bypasses Abilities like Sturdy, and Mimikyu's Disguise.
O-Powers return in the form of Roto Loto from RotomDex. And the power of friendship with RotomDex will unlock its Z-Power to allow you to use Z-moves more than once.
Well that escalated quickly. XD
I'm curious how using Totem Pokemon work once you get them.
It feels like the perfect sendoff for Gen7 on the 3DS system.
What better than a FULL ORGY OF VILLAIN TEAM LEADERS IN ONE GAME ALL WORKING TOGETHER
For some reason, Pokemon Bank won't be updated for UltraSM until later in the month. You can still trade with regular SM though, which means my team is intact. I brought over a Mimikyu, a Jangmo-o, a Dewpider, and a Drillbur. My starter this time is Litten, and I'm using the special Rockruff.
I'm not sure when I'll get the game but I have decided on what Pokemon I'll get for my team and luckily they seem very accessible.
I'm not sure if I'll get this, the lack of more post game content(not counting online battles) in Sun/Moon kinda left me in a bad taste.
There is luckily significantly more Post Game content in this game luckily.
Dusk Lycanroc is actually really good. Step aside Zydog, there's a new good boy in town.
Give him lots of pets.
BTW, Inkay is on Route 1 in the grass by your house. Contrary screws over totems 8D

I guess by later, they meant just a couple days. Both Bank and Transporter have been updated.
Started both USUM so as to clock for the Global Mission.
Ultra Sun - Ailey
Ultra Moon - Moone
So I didn't realize the Excadrill I'm using has its hidden ability Mold Breaker. Until I fought the Totem Mimikyu. Feels good to just bypass Disguise altogether with a Z Move.
My team is okay, just flawed in that there's no special attacker and they have some common weaknesses.
Currently on Akala Island in Ultra Sun. Mantine Surf sure is fun.
Cleared Ilima's trial in Ultra Moon. OHKO-ing the Totem Raticate was very satisfying.
Became champion yesterday. I felt my team was levelling up really fast, not including the bonus exp four of the them were getting from trades. When I got to the Elite Four all my team was in the 70s. I didn't use a lot of Roto Exp until the end, but I did fight everyone I could. I was levelling up so quick the traded ones started to disobey me. That really burned me on the Totem Kommo-o.
Completed my Pokedex today. Caught both Stakataka, traded one for Blacephalon, and got an extra Poipole in a trade. Not going to do Ultra Wormhole stuff. Just going to get another Nebby and beat Rainbow Rocket and call it a day. I thought the game was fine, just not different enough from SM. And the one big change they made, I didn't like.
No possessed Lusamine fight in favor of Ultra Necrozma. Wasn't a fan of it.
I refused Poipole so I could reset it later on. Naganadel is really fun to use, though, once it evolves.
I finally got Ultra Moon.
As soon as I get to Day Care I'm gonna bread a crap ton of Own Tempo Rockruffs.
EDIT: Also I just remembered someone gave me the QR Code for Movie Ash Hat Pikachu.

Nice game, I love it owob
Pokemon Crystal is finally coming to the 3DS VC on January 26th, and it seems the delay was so that way they can include a way to get Celebi in some fashion.
Anyway I got to the 3rd island today, so far I really like the better pacing Ultra Moon has.
Reached the Pokemon League in Ultra Sun, but I wanna become the Battle Buffet champion first haha. XD
Decidueye lv66, Magnezone lv66, Tyranitar lv66, Gardevoir lv65, Primarina lv65, Incineroar lv65.
As for Ultra Moon, will be attempting the Kommo-o trial.
Decidueye lv59, Malamar lv60, Talonflame lv60, Lyranroc Dusk lv60, Vikavolt lv59, Crabominable lv60.

That's right Dectective Pikachu is finally releasing worldwide, along with a brand new huge Detective Pikachu Amiibo.....that basically lets you watch cutscenes and act as a hint system but seriously it's huge.
