Kojima has expressed his desire to step away from MGS series for a while now, we can now assume Konami forced him to keep making sequels. So I'd imagine Kojima if he wanted to go down that route and kickstart some personal project that he might make a spiritual successor to something else. Snatcher maybe?

Hopefully something new if he doesn't move to another big developer.
