Or better yet play any castlevania game, considerably more entertainment from that.

I don't have Castlevania on my tablet.  I have FNaF.  We're going to play FNaF.

No Luigi's Mansion?  Actually I don't have Luigi's Mansion myself, I really should try that game again someday, maybe I'll be better at it.

Good point.

They should play Quake! The first one with the Lovecraft influence obviously.

I don't have Luigi's Mansion and neither do they.  Their gaming consoles consist of tablets their other aunts got for them and a computer running Win98 that's loaded with PC games.  They're bored with Last Half of Darkness, too young for Waxworks, and we haven't installed an emulator on it, yet.  They're more interested in their tablets because they can all play games and it's portable.

My tablet is portable.  It has FNaF on it.  FNaF can be a multi-player single-player game, as Ringman and I always played it together.  it's more frightening when others are with you and building up the tension.

Too bad, a Win98 PC could run Quake. :P

Luigi's Mansion's an oddity, its like stupid expensive nowadays for some dumb reason.

I imagine FNaF can be scary to somebody who plays the first time, not like I'd know since I'm not touching it and my only exposure is through videos with people commentating over it.

At least it's not Dragon Quest 4 expensive.

The kids aren't old enough for Quake.  We'd have Doom and Wolf3D on their computer if they were.

They're old enough for FNaF, though! 8D

Those poor kids are gonna have nightmares from playing FNaF.

That's too bad for them, Freddy needs fresh meat! 8D

I prefer the better music and controls of PC Doom.

Doom 64's something I never got to play.

I thought they just killed you.

They stuff you in a mechanical animatronic costume.
Basically you just become meat.

That's not the scary part of the game though.

The scary part is how the game cranks your paranoia up to Eleven and leaves it there.

A total conversion exists, I've mentioned it a few times before (though I haven't played it without the PK3 file for the music). Doom 64 has a fan-made port but requires extracting data from the N64 ROM. It's actually easier to set-up than it sounds.

Isn't PSX Doom just normal Doom with some ambient music?

I'd rather play Doom with the SNES music.

I've played Doom 64, but I don't have it anymore.  The controls were awkward after having played the PC version.

PSX Doom actually combines both Doom and Doom II into one game, features Doom II in Doom I maps when played on Ultra-Violence, colored lighting, and retools some of levels and changes stage order. Problems does lack of memory although passwords are available, tank controls (though they didn't bother me that much), some levels were cut due to hardware limitation, and one nasty bug where the game can crash when using the BFG on a lot of enemies also due to hardware limitation. The fan-mades total conversion fixes the technical issues and takes advantage of GZDoom's ability of using manual saves.

I've played Doom 64, but I don't have it anymore.  The controls were awkward after having played the PC version.
Couldn't rebind the controls to something more confortable? Doom 64 EX is a fan-made PC port and it's possible to rebind the key any way you want.

a computer running Win98 that's loaded with PC games.
Living the dream... That's amazing.

I have an old computer mostly for stuff I can't run well/properly on Win7 or through a Virtual PC due to graphics requirements. Still have to get the joystick properly calibrated; can't play X-Wing/TIE Fighter properly otherwise, and can't play X-wing Alliance at all without one. The joystick might just be toast, but still!

I guess all I can really say is it isn't exactly what I'd expect out of a $4.4M game

It doesn't even have mouth animations

Maybe you should construct a dismantled version as well.

Its creepier that way.
