There's something I gotta wonder when it comes to Zelda games, I understand keys breaking which makes you get more keys and the map for every dungeon is never the same so you need another map for a new dungeon. But what I don't understand why I need to get a new compass in every dungeon, why can't I use the previous compass?

The compass is nothing more than a gameplay item that details the locations of chests within the dungeon. I never really felt compelled to justify it beyond an element of gameplay, and an optional one at that.

Darkhell has been abandoned to ruin after the massacre of most of the population.

The true symbol of Darkhell, Lavinnia, survived. She worked so hard that Adam devoted a statue to her. She completed the new mess hall as others died around her. She fulfilled work orders after chaos had taken away the need for splints. She killed five possessed Dwarves while not even being part of the militia. She built wells, built furniture, served water, hauled boulders and bodies, all while carrying her daughter on her back. Her husband was struck down, and she persevered.
