Boogie boards make great sleds. I rode a boogie board down the hill last night. Went down on my belly, through the woods, dodged trees, and flew off a small drop onto brick pavers. That was a good run as I made it all the way to the house.

Another run, I hit a fence post.

Another run, I bailed before hitting the fence.

Giver, Gifter, Griffin, Grover... Royale, Ree-yelly, Reely, Ree-Yees... It helps if he hears the name. It's just him mispronouncing it horribly. All those explosions have left him a bit deaf.

As someone who has grown up with people with less than perfect hearing and my cousin who is deaf I can vouch for that.

I have some low-frequency hearing loss and my grandma is practically deaf. With Mammaw, I have to speak VERY LOUDLY and enunciate my words clearly directly in her good ear.

I can't hear in crowds at all, and if people don't enunciate, I can't understand them. Though, I slur and mumble like crazy, but my voice is loud.

I have the opposite problem with crowds, I hear everything so I have a hard time hearing the person in front of me.

That's my problem. I can't differentiate sounds in crowds due to hearing loss. It's all just a mass of babbling.

And yet... I've tracked treefrogs in the dark by sound. It's mostly lower-frequency sounds I have a problem with, whereas higher-frequency sounds I'm golden. Including that super high frequency sound that only teenagers can hear. I absolutely hate that sound.

Anywho, I must bed.

So we get a message over Steam that went like "I [tornado fang]'d UP IT'S 6 AM".

And me and my other buddy are like "holy [parasitic bomb] it's 3 am we may have [tornado fang]'d up too"

You know, the Prof reminds me of Professor Calculus from The Adventures of Tintin.

He has severe hearing problems and often mispronounced names, as well, making for hilarious situations. Not to mention his tendency to sometimes "act the goat".

Ahh man, the nostalgia.
