It takes me about forty-five minutes to walk into town to the bus stop. I'm generally heading in with a backpack to carry things home. Rte 34 isn't very pedestrian-friendly, either, particularly when I get to the Y and have to cross Table Rock.

Wild encounters are limited to the occasional Larvesta that I rescue, perhaps a Politoed, the occasional Ratata, and dead Skuntanks flattened along the road.

When the Diancie promotion starts, I'll hike into town and get one. The clerk was understanding when I explained where you were and happily handed over another Gengar. Since Sato had card issues, I scratched them off in-store and earmarked one of them. They're tucked safely away in my bag.

I'd better eat this lunch and then get ready to catch the bus. I'll take it out to Steinwehr and hit the Battlefield from there. It's not much of a walk out there for some pics, and then back into town.

Maybe to obscure the major characters that show up later in the story and to keep them a surprise to new players? Such a shame that it had to be treated this way.

As an artist, I like to admire the intricate details; it's satisfying to the eyes whenever you look at it.

And for marketing, you don't want to be putting out something that looks like the US box. It won't really pull in the casual consumer, unless, of course, you're a fan of whatever series it is.

As a gamer, I love how my cases look on my shelves, and try to get physical copies rather than digital. When I proudly pull out a case, I don't want to be greeted with a shitty box design.

Just my preference.

I agree. Also boxart changes can rarely be misleading or false advertisement. Case in point: The U.S. boxart vs. Japanese boxart of Mega Man X7. Guess who's taking the spotlight down in front?

I'm pretty sure no one buys a game based purely on the box art these days and if they do, quite frankly they must be an idiot. There's no excuse for not looking a game before you buy it.
