I know I'm
way late in responding to this, but if it makes you feel any better I frequently get told that my default expression is somewhere between "boredom" and "murderous rage". So that's a thing.
In other news, the revamp of my personal character canon is going well.....if not particularly smoothly. I've had an idea I can use to explain
why such a weird and wacky combination of characters exists as a group, but putting the backstory together is proving a little tricky. In the sense that, I have it all outlined in my head and it works
perfectly, but then I have trouble translating those thoughts into a written form that makes sense without leaving too many unanswered questions (how much detail is
too much detail?).
Some characters have undergone minor changes (Leo and Saden, mostly), some have undergone
major changes (Xhai) and some are pretty much unchanged save for a difference in backstory (Bell and Mika). Not all of them figure in to the new canon I'm putting together (at least as "main characters"), but if everything comes together like I'm hoping then I'll at least have a good reason as to why I can introduce them as side-characters/NPCs further down the line.
It's difficult finding the motivation to write the universe's backstory down sometimes, but I'm in no rush. It'll be done when it's done, and hopefully.....hopefully it goes over well.
