Thinking back to Wally's first appearance, and comparing it with his most recent... perhaps he didn't die, but had become displaced in time. The veterans he worked with were Civil War (as in 1863) veterans. There were some clues that placed him in I think the 1930s when he disappeared.

When he reappeared, he was in a different timeline, as evident by more technology and a different architectural style.

Yeah I see Dialga as more of a dick than Celebi. Celebi is way too nice.

EDIT: Actually normal Dialga would be better since Primal Dialga is more like an out of control beast.

So, Dialga one day got really bored and decided to play around with a shiny Downs Hypno. So, that Hypno has been hopping through time against his will, and the first time it happened, it was explained away as him dying.

Though, I still like the idea of some Celebi being a dick.

Maybe... Just maybe, the Celebi in Wally's original timeline just so happened to be a dick, so it displaced Wally. And then Dialga saw that, thought it was hilarious, and kept on displacing Wally.

And thinking back to the original dream, the character I played when Wally's death was announced did mention that it seemed as if he just vanished, and it was as if he was removed from the timeline. And then, gradually, people started to forget about him.

But, I had omitted that part because I had seen a Twilight Zone episode with that premise about people being removed from the timeline and figured that my brain was just referring to that.

That's me every time when I tried to play Skullgirls, Virtual-ON, Guardian Heroes, Sonic the Fighters... pretty much any game that isn't F2P on Xbox LIVE when I have Gold membership is like this for me. Also what do you have in mind for your project?
