"It, it gets, it gets so hard to concentrate with all the... yelling... Hard to hear things..." The Professor dug at his ears with his knuckles and then started sifting through his bag in a show of looking for scrolls. Carefully, he slipped an explosive vial into his cloak pocket.

(Just to reiterate, Prof, Albertus, Shadow, and mysterious cloak person are all at the same tower roof that the Prof initially stumbled upon. So all you heroes just need to find that spiral staircase!)

Albertus threw his arms into the air, and then grabbed the Professor by his cloak collar again.

"I'm sorry, but, but, but, I didn't quite... understand you..." The Professor continued with his bluff. His hand dropped to his pocket and he handled the vial inside. He didn't want to use it in such close quarters, but he was running out of options. Rather than blow himself and Albertus up, he was going to try to stall for as long as he possibly could.

After convincing the slaves to run for the hills the party encountered a Spiral Staircase.

"In the words of a man who has seen more [parasitic bomb] than I, the boss guy is always at the top of the building or the bottom of it, and I suspect the top in this case." Calien stated as he and Sakura started to head up the stairs.

The Professor nodded, handling the vial in his pocket. His hands still had a thin dusting of Lightning Powder on them, but not enough for a full charge. However, he could mix it with his Flame Paste for a sudden ignition. The resultant chemical reaction would be spectacular, but far less deadly than setting off an explosive at his feet.

As he considered that option and found the long vial of paste in his pocket, he turned his gaze to Albertus, his voice level. "Take me to Aya. I will tell you everything."

Albertus laughed.

"Aya!? Joo have been ztalling juzt for Aya!? JOO FOOL!!"

Albertus threw the Professor to the ground... And walked towards the other cloaked figure.

"IF JOO MUZT!!"

Albertus grabbed the top of the other's cloak, and dramatically pulled it away... Revealing a female figure. She was wearing a half-mask, that was covering the left side of her face. The mask had a wide grin, and a star-shaped eye... Both eyes were clearing glowing red. The attire... A black full bodysuit, over which a blue open-chest jacket, that bared the midriff, as well as a pair of white short shorts... Blue shoes, and golden rings around her ankles and wrists. The hair was tied into a ponytail, and there seems to be a contraption sticking out of her left ear.

... It was Aya.

Without orders from Albertus Aya stared blankly at the professor, none of the empathy or soul that the Professor was familiar with.

The Professor jumped up and ran to Aya, grabbing her by the arms and shaking her. "You, you must come out of this! Get them out of your head! He is not your master! The g-guardian has no master! You must wake up, you must wake up!"

Aya glanced at the professor but continued to just stare, what ever Albertus had done to her it had suppressed any sign of free will.

Calien was the first to make it up to the top as he took in the scene around him and Aya looking like some freak show but worse still he felt something wasn't right.

"Aya......What the hell has this man done to you?!" Calien asked in anger.

"Aile" pauses for a moment loosening her grip slightly. A flash of memory fills her mind as an oddly familiar woman's voice echos in her ears AND the professor's. "Aya--you need to fight this, you need to remember; if you don't this man will unleash a great evil!"

"Aile"'s eyes squint and she begins to look as if pain, her mind seems to be fighting with the brainwashing. "Ngh..." she mutters her arm trembling.
