Grifter - "It's okay." uttered the pokéspirit through her mind, "Your weapons on board will be safe. Besides, there are some weapons they can't confiscate, if you know what I mean."

Toshi gave a short glance at Shuu, before leaving her weapon stash behind, as if she just remembered what his daemons are capable of.

Shuu yawned as he went up on deck as requested. Even though it was just a short trip, he, once again, needed to use some assistance in getting to sleep. There were dark circles under his eyes from his sleep issues.

As the party disembarked from the ship they found themselves surrounded by soldiers-or rather Haven Rock's Militia, the unit where dressed in various armors and clothing; and some had makeshift weapons-clearly not a trained fighting force but likely a band of volunteers. Most were of the beast tribes-various humanoid animal like beings although some humans and even a dwarf was among their number.

"I hope you didn't think you could bring a known pirate ship to our town and just waltz right in did you? Now where your captain--that thrice damned White Beard!" The Lizzard Man at the front of the unit in the heavy armor and wielding an Axe says clearly the commanding officer.

Aya steps forward extending a hand to the side to calm the situation "Perhaps if we surrendered ourselves into your custody, while you search the ship?"

The lizard man commander raises a reptilian eyebrow at Aya, a little confused what race she was meant to be.

"Men put them in irons and take them to the cells-I'll question them soon, you lot head on board and search the ship!" The commander barks--(hisses?) orders and they quickly get to work. The group have their arms cuffed in irons and led down the main street many weary eyes watching as they are led to what Aya can only assume is the militia headquarters.

The building looks new and surprisingly well made for a town with no backing from any of the kingdoms, the group soon find them selves admiring the craftsmanship from within a large holding cell.

"Cool yer heels till I return-try anything funny and I'll gut the lot of you." The commander hissed to oversea the search of the airship leaving the party along for the time being.

Pema grabbed hold of the bars. Her shoulders slumped down wearily as she stared out through the doors. "I just hope Salem will be okay out there..."

She impatiently tapped her fingers against the metal cage. It was clear as day that Pema preferred having her friend by her side.

"I think he'll be fine Pema," Fxeni said relatively relaxed. "He'll likely blend in with the rest of our equipment, as long as he doesn't speak up too much. Worse comes to worse, we'll go get him."

He looked around at the cell, examining the craftsmanship. He wasn't quite used to being on this side of the bars, but he's broken through cells like these before.

"Let's stay calm for now though. We may have to work with these people soon enough, so it's in our best interest to not cause any ruckus."

Aya slumps against the wall glancing at her manacles for a moment before sighing "This brings back memories." Aya looks down looking a little nostalgic.

"Urrgh these things are so uncomfortable!" Sakura whined as she fiddled with her restraints a bit.

"That's kind of the point of them Sakura, being imprisoned doesn't exactly lead to comfort." Calien stated as he slouched against a wall.

"I guess that makes sense, doing something bad would land you in a bad place huh." Sakura sighed as she calmed down. "I just hope Yin and Epee will be okay, I mean Epee doesn't seem to mind others as long as you don't bug her but Yin is so uneasy with other people she doesn't know."

"I'm more worried about the Mushrooms." Calien sighed.

"I'm sure no one will steal your precious stinky Mushrooms Dad." Sakura retorted dryly.

"I'm not worried about them stealing them....I'm worried about someone eating one." Calien shook his head.

"Don't see why anyone besides the Prof would want to eat one. Besides what's so bad about eating one, I mean you even cook those things sometimes.....and somehow make them taste good." Sakura asked with a raised eyebrow.

"You have to prepare them a certain way, otherwise bad things will happen....very bad things." Calien stated seriously.

Aya nods "Sorta-this was way back when the empire was still around before we knew about Mar's betrayal. The empire was in a long drawn out conflict with the beast tribes and we had a lot of issues with out lower classes and the slave races-a rebellion was brewing and my brother and I were sent on our first mission to sniff out their operations. We had been traveling for some time, even made some allies-but at the time we didn't know Mar was pulling the strings-or even involved, and he had been leaking information on our movements to their leaders, they captured us at some old ruin we thought they were operating from-It was a huge mess--the escape that is." Aya chuckles.

((Since the party is stuck for the moment it's a good time to inquire about the empire-Mar or even Aya and her past.))

"Mar wanted to change the empire-remove the caste system and end the slavery of the races we conquered, he tried at first to do it through the system but the other Magisters did everything they could to sabotage him, I can only imagine how frustrating that would have been. I guess thats when he began considering more extreme methods to take out the ones who stood in his way. Manipulating the rebel forces, opening a rift over Pandora to kill the magisters and nobles, stealing my brother's body to enter the heart of chaos and become a being that could match the elementals. I sometimes wonder if he was mad from the start or just lost all hope for the world he served." Aya shakes her head.

"I can certainly sympathize with why he would go to such extremes with such noble intentions but such extremes would hurt everything he was standing for in the first place, never mind the fact everything he knew is gone now." Calien stated seriously.

"Daddy what are slaves and chaste systems?" Sakura asked curiously.

"I'll explain later....it's a bit difficult to explain something so wretched and complicated to you in a place like this." Calien sighed and shook his head.
