Would you say the same with Shante because most of their stretch goals are kind of similar with bonus content.
The case with Shantae is not much different honestly.
But there is a slight difference... or is it a big difference?
Well...
Wayforward, unlike Inafune, are exploiting the goodwill of people, and the fact they like their games (and Shantae). That, and they simply are copying Inafune.
While our dearest Inafune himself, is exploiting the same thing as Wayforward PLUS the current state of Capcom and the Megaman games in general.
What I mean by that, is that he quite frankly is riding on the "death of megaman games" and using that to fuel his own agenda. Although I do not doubt he wants to make good games, he's also a pretty sly [dark hold], who knows how to manipulate.
The video he posted during the annoucement of Mighty No. 9 just confirms it. Why? Because it's a nicely put propaganda movie.
"I want ot make games, good games, I like robots, you like robots, my dream, blah blah, look at me visiting all those places, look we are working on something... a game, for you... but give me all the monies you can plz so we can give you the best game evurr."
It simply disgusts me. Even if he wants to revive the spirit of Megaman or whatever, it's [tornado fang]ing obvious what he's doing here.
Besides, if I remember right, it was Inafune who went and got everyones hopes up with Legends 3, and then bailed the [tornado fang] out of Capcom, even before the prototype was completed.
And then he wanted to continue developing it for Capcom when it OH SO SURPRISINGLY got cancelled. But of course, because he was on bad terms with Capcom at that point, it was obvious they'll give him the middle finger.
My point is... Inafune is not the [tornado fang]ing savior of Megaman/whatever you make him out to be.
And by "you" I mean anybody who does, not generally everyone. Because I'm sure there those who don't do that.
not to say Capcom is a saint though, don't misunderstand here.
