Should I wait for Phi to have The Judge pass the motion to watch the evidential videos, or should I cut forward that they are currently watching the videos?

You can also go to Bulbapedia for a quick summary of each region and what Pokemon works best for you and the Judge. That's pretty much how I jumped into the RP given my lack of experience beyond Red, Blue, and the Anime.
