Well it was because his characters didn't fit in there anymore and he couldn't keep up, and honestly Sakura won't grow in that RP, she'll remain static.

Well... at least when you get the chance find a way to allow Sakura to leave the story in a traditional way instead of just vanishing out of thin air.

Eh...I guess I'm pretty much the same way, jump in and participate in whatever gets my characters noticed; if nothing else, filler until bored or until I have a good enough reason to butt in. That's pretty much how I got Hierophant and Tarot Skitty's cards in that situation to begin with. $:\$

I would encourage that other Pokemon RP you mentioned earlier that keeps up with the lighthearted nature of the games and anime, but then that would probably dwindle into dark humor and seriousness at some point.

Just, uh... say that something huge came up in Hoenn or something and you have to go. That would effectively write yourself out of the story.

Well, bottom line is, no RP (or any comedic series for that matter) can escape the looming terror that is a dark, serious arc or situation. No matter how hard you try to keep it lighthearted and silly, it's going to happen, and the only way to get that lighthearted silliness back is to finish the situation or arc that started it and move on with only distant memories popping up whenever others feel like bringing it up.

That was pretty much the one thing Busy World did right, as bad and cluttered as the RP had become. At one point, the RP stopped being silly and had about 3+ pages of serious, heat-wrenching moments that almost ended with both worlds being controlled by two overlords. But once Dragon Sky cleared it up, it went back to its usual silly nature.

It's just with the Pokemon RP there was less and less down time and it just kept piling up and up and up.

Wilypocalyse I can manage just fine because there's down time and romance and stuff that keeps my mind occupied and makes me think of future plans. In other words it's more than just [parasitic bomb] getting worse and worse every minute.

Here not so much and I really started feeling like this once we went on the Superia.

Yeah, the Pokemon one has been serious since I joined. I managed to find a time when there was a little break but it was quite short. Serious [parasitic bomb]'s goin' down in that one.

I guess I could have also held off Carr's abuse of the Fool Card a little longer and stuck with filler concerning Meowth and Hierophant still looking for the clones. I either wasn't finding the motivation to think of a filler, or I was too caught up with wanting to bring Carr back with a new ability to not think about allowing some downtime after Mewtwo's earlier incident with his Disable attack....

So I finally went ahead and broke Josei and Akai up in Wilypocalypse.

I'm not sure if I'll ever have them get back together or something. I'll keep that around as an option but honestly I just felt like this is something that will be good for Akai's character development as an independent from Josei. As all she's been up until now was basically an attachment to Josei rather than her own individual character.

After all this talk, I am contemplating whether to withdrawal Pyro from the Pokemon RP because all the grimdark [parasitic bomb] going down and I feel that he is more and more out of place (plus, his quest is pretty much complete.) Rayquaza will probably be the bus he rides off on; it will not mean he will be completely gone, just not involved in the main storyline any meaningful sense. Though perhaps he will reappear to vex Giovanni on occasion.

May I ask why being dark is so bad? Pokemon doesn't exactly have the completely light-hearted universe as it's advertised to have.

And you two are making Ahrzayl feel ashamed for adding her dark plotlines in.

It's not that grim dark is bad, I just have a very, very hard time writing this stuff for the Pokemon RP. I've pretty much just lost the motivation to write for this RP in genreral.

As I said I have no plans in this RP anymore and Sakura is not getting character growth in it. If I continue with it I would basically be forcing myself to keep going and that is a horrible idea.

I followed a few web comics before called Blazen and HiimDaisy's Persona 4 comics and both of them stopped because they lost the motivation to continue their stuff for various reasons. This happens more often than you think.

I know it's hard to understand and it's selfish but I just can't do it anymore for this RP.

I never really had a plan to begin with; just have Pyro go on a nonsensical quest and it feels like he is just hanger-on at this point. However, I never said I would never bring him back at a later time. Pyro is a character best designed to appear randomly and unexpectedly.

Time to keep Mewtwo locked up for a while, just to allow for some much-needed downtime. I'm starting to get a bit fatigued from it, too, but I have no intentions of leaving. I'll set Quickie up in a hotel for a while, have her hunt for a lawyer and perhaps make short excursions and talk to other people, while Mewtwo's getting locked up elsewhere and staying out of trouble.

To make up another character and have them join in the story in Cerulean or not to... It's tempting...
