On another note, I stumbled across Shadow Pokemon during my random paging. We could sometime bring in Cipher, or possibly get Team Rocket in on this action, as it'd be right up Giovanni's alley.

Yeah, Shadow Pokemon are crazy. Only a skilled trainer can undo the locks on their hearts, and only a blessing by Celebi or something can undo the final one.

Well, aside from Chariot and Jessie, who's still phoning for back up, there's still Pyro and his near incomprehensible control over Pokemon.

Oh, and lets not forget the angry army of Clefa and Clefairy who might initiate Metronome if they get close enough to the Superia.

Oh, and I'm toying with the idea of throwing in a bit of Kingdom Hearts into my story as well, although a lot of it will be based on the ridiculous randomness-driven world that my friend and I created way back when.

Well, in a standard Lovecraft RP, the goal is to end the campaign with your sanity. Cthulhu Dice is basically a sanity-stealing game. It would be really easy to work up a system for a Lovecraft RP, and the majority of it would be storytelling as the characters uncover more and more clues that lead them down the path to insanity.

As to why it wouldn't work?

Alright.

A) Persona has lots of characters, there aren't that many people here who like/play Persona.

B) A party in Persona usually consists of 4 characters at a time with one acting as support. But there is a total of up to 9/10 usually. So it'd have to have a consistently available group of people, and parties would have to be planned ahead-of-time as to not run into the issue of one character just not being present when they're in the party.

C) Again, sort of a niche series that not everybody is interested in.

D) Besides the "Playable" characters, we'd need villains, and they usually consist of Shadows, humans who are evil, or evil deities. Villains aren't usually revealed until the end of the story so there wouldn't be anything like in WP or RPM-Vengers where we have stuff like the villain just spinning in a chair doing stuff while laughing maniacally.

E) Failing having enough people for each person to have one character, some people would have to double up, and that requires either a lot of Talking to one-self or tricky work-arounds.

F) I'm not a writer!
