Temper just raises the attack power of a team member. There's also Saber, which increases the attack power of the caster.
Would Hone work?
I'm sorry I don't really think I want to use those either. I'm just annoyed that Attack buffing spells don't really sound like Attack buffing spells to me.
I mean we have things like Haste for Speed, Protect for Physical Defense, Barrier for Magic Defense, Blink, Mirage or Evade for Evasion, and Sharpen or even Hone can sound like Accuracy. But Attack Buffs, in my opinion, just kind of a second thought in naming schemes in terms of the other categories. And I've looked though quite a few RPGs to find a name but I didn't like any of them and I'm having a hard time thinking of them.
It's not just the effect I'm looking for I want it to sound good to me and not sound like it could be something else or like [Noun] Up.
The reason I don't like Temper is that it not only sounds like Berserk but it sounds more like a Defense, Accuracy or even a Crit spell to me.
Saber sounds like a class of skills and like Sword Techs or Magic Sword techs to me.
Hone sounds like it could be a Crit or Accuracy buff.
It's just so frustrating that so far I can't find something I can be happy with.
