This is a Mega Man site, yet most of us have names completely unrelated to the franchise. I at least expected a large amount of that unrelation from TFN, especially considering that many people use the same name for various forums.

But Starwars is a bigger fandom than Megaman, and probably much more geekier about it than us, not to mention the Star Wars universe is far more expansive than Megaman. It would probably be the same on a Sonic forum.

This may be the case.

However, that's not the case with Sonic forums. When my brother was a member of The Sonic Stadium, I recall seeing many original names. Sure, there were still a lot of "[insert name] the Hedgehog", but unrelated usernames were common.

Speaking of TSS, I wonder how the terrible the forums are now.

EDIT: Haha, and one of the very first topics that appeared on the forum was "I can't be bothered to care about Sonic anymore"

There's a nice chunk of people with non-SW/sci-fi names, but they generally hide in the non-SW/sci-fi boards.  One of the mods consistently uses a Deadpool avatar, there's people like I Are The Internets, A Chorus of Disapproval, Falcon, Juliet, Goodwood, Cooper_TFN, jcgoble, we have a Zapdos running around in the JCC, Slowpokeking hangs out in Lit sometimes, along with jacktherack, and jasonfry (who is a SW author), and then there are the people with just plain old normal names.

So, they do exist, but you need to look for them.  A good many do hang out in the Literature forum under the Expanded Universe tab.

Status on my busted foot: It's almost entirely bruised and still a bit puffy.  However, the pain is minimal and I can walk on it fine.  So, I didn't wreck it as bad as I feared, as it now looks worse than it actually feels.  By the end of this week, it should be fine.

Time to see if I have money to do laundry.  If I don't, I'm not going down to the store to get change until my foot is healed, so doing laundry tonight just won't be an option.

By the fact that the pain is pretty much gone, I'm no longer limping as much, and I'm regaining full range of motion.  Haven't had it x-rayed, but it feels fine so it should be fine.

That's good.  It just reminded me of when my Abuela fractured her shoulder, but she's totally fine now.
