No offense, but I wanted to help get you into Virtual-ON, then I get "no, not gonna bother with it since some of the games is on a 360 and the others are imports". Ugh, makes me glad I never went with the PS3 (mainly because my older brother already have one) after getting a Wii.
Here's the thing though a console is an investment, people buy consoles because they like the games that can be played on those consoles and is only worth it if you have a lot of options to use that console for even though the more games you buy the bigger the hole in your wallet gets. The investment is only worth it if you like the options that the console has.
I have a Wii because I like the Nintendo exclusives they have. I have a DS and 3DS because I like the hand held games I can play with it. I'll get another PSP because there are a few games that I like to play along with the hacking capabilities it has so it would effectively become my GB/GBC/and GBA. I finally have a PS3 because it's at the end of it's lifespan and I can build up the library for that easily and can get old games through the PS Network that I can even play on my PSP, and it even doubles as a Blueray player.
Now I know the Xbox has some cool games, but it's not a big enough library to make it "worth it" for me to want to buy it for a few hundred dollars. I'm not that big on online multi player games, some of the third party games, especially Scott Pilgram and the Arc System fighting games, I can get for the PS3 and I abhor FPS's in general. A few cool indie games are not worth getting a 360 in my opinion and if someone doesn't have a 360 by now they would most likely agree with my statement.
I would rather get a Dreamcast to try some of the games there but it's not a gaming 'priority' and there are other things I'm more interested in at the moment. Plus some imports can be worth more than a console and be hard to find.
