Unfortunately, I was spoiled on major plot points of the movie, thanks to the latest episode of Agents of SHIELD.

I would definitely not argue against it. I still like Avengers better, simply for the team aspect. As a movie, in terms of character development and such, yeah I'd say Cap 2 is better.
