You know, it can be fun sometimes, but seriously almost every single encounter doesn't need to have five goddamn enemies. Its hard enough working around the sometimes funky controls, I don't need to be constantly interrupted by enemies who either constantly guard or are in a near permanent Iron-stance.
I also don't need to be suddenly killed because some enemies got the better of me and put me into that obscenely long "I'm Dizzy oh woe is me" phase, its no wonder i'm underleveled and starved for items and money, the game's making battling a chore, recruiting new monsters is an absolute crapshoot at best, and the AI won't stop being stupid and getting killed. I don't like having to baby the [tornado fang]ing game and I really don't want to go do missions if they're just going to be like the same five locales with slightly different objectives impeded by forced encounters once per screen that are the same enemy types as the ones elsewhere in the mission yet stronger for no apparent reason.
Plus its not really worth it when the rewards are as meager as obsolete weapons, outdated armor, or a pitiful 1000 gald.
Its just not fun.
