I'm laughing at some new member who's getting his panties in a twist over a few relatively minor EU contradictions.
Kid, the EU has been contradicting itself ever since it sprang into being. Allow me to remind you of Boba Fett's backstory. Or rather, backstories. And remember when Greedo's backstory was trampled? Oh, how about Evan Piell dying in a TCW episode before his death in Coruscant Nights, which occurred before that episode aired? How many things from the Marvel comics were then shat upon? Or contradictory things within the same book, such as the Tales anthology series? More than a few stories would include contradictory elements to a character's story. Let's not forget the retcon for Natasi Daala, since she was shipped with Tarkin when she wasn't supposed to be. And since we're talking about Death Star, how about the new reason for the exhaust port? Did you know that it was actually ordered and installed by a Wookiee slave? Or what about the Bounty Hunter Wars and other material that contradicted Zuckuss's initial characterization in the Tales of the Bounty Hunters book in which he first appeared speaking in third person, and the contradiction required a mental illness retcon? Really, the EU contradicting itself is nothing new. As was said about the Joker in Arkham Asylum, it reinvents itself every day.
