Well Phantasia will have to be a hold because [tornado fang] if I'm playing the iOS version with its awkward controls and buffed difficulty.

Symphonia I have on the way.

By Final Fantasy I II III you mean the actual I II and III or I IV VI?

Beyond Oasis is a Genesis game right? I think that's in the PS3 collection I own. Wild Arms 1 I got.

Phantasia is an SNES game.

Final Fantasy I II III. I would never suggest anything after III.
Beyond Oasis is a Genesis game.

I had a freaky night last night.  I was falling asleep with Mabel beside me and my covers over my nose.  Mabel was curled up, asleep.  Soon, I felt something on the foot end of the bed and thought Mabel moved.  Then, it left.  Mabel was still where she was sleeping.  Then, I felt something sit on the bed near my head and start to pull down the covers.

I flipped my arms up and it went away.  I laid there for a minute and checked to see that Mabel was still curled up beside me.

What the actual hell.

Perhaps you were half-dreaming? I don't know the technical term, but that's the best way I can describe it.

It's like that night I was lying in bed, and it felt like I was slowly ascending in the air. I then moved around a bit, and I was lying there normally, like it never happened.

... Okay, that's probably not the best example, but it could be related.

Yeah, most likely I was half-asleep and dreaming.  That hypnogogic state of sleep, when freaky things happen.

Phantasia is an SNES game.

Yes, it is.

But the remakes are better games. Though they lack translations since Japan apparently thinks we hate Phantasia after that godawful GBA Port.

Of course now they have an official translation so they have no excuse to not release the PSP port as a Digital Download.

And the iOS version doesn't support a bluetooth controller or keyboard?

All this talk of Tales of Phantasia makes me remember that really old fan translation of the snes version with the random swearing in it. I don't think I touched the game since.

The newest PSX translation is probably the best. I don't have the time or skill to play each one and evaluate them.

Speaking of looking for games, I just got the Wii I got working. The disk drive seems to be borked, but I didn't plan on using it, anyway.

Not unless they get it to account for the movement system being "tap anywhere and a d-pad appears" and attacks being bound to three different buttons.

If you were on Android, I recall there being an app that actually allows you to use an input device to emulate touchpad input, including the d-pad/sticks that center where you first tap.

Saw two people go through my line today with a stroller.

The stroller had a Hello Kitty plush in it, wearing clothing and buckled in.

Why did my dad have to be raised to be a racist, I don't want to hear this crap and I don't even think he believes most of it deep down.  Even if some of it is true.

If he wasn't racist, how would you know you were better than him?

Have you informed you manager? If it's a management decision for people with "children" to get preferential treatment, then it's up to the manager's discretion to let people abuse it. But make sure the manager knows. And do not confront the patron, yourself. That is not your job.

Okay, Unz isn't as complicated as I remembered; the emulator can accept games by loading them in a similar to SSF does with Saturn games, mounting a disc image to virtual drive. Got ALLTYNEX and Genocide Sqaured working, about to test Splatterhouse...

-EDIT-
Alright, Splatterhouse on FM Towns works like a charm. This is probably close to arcade-perfect next to the Windows versions.

Honestly he doesn't have to be racist for me to know I'm better than him.  He can't cook, he doesn't clean after himself, he's terrible with money and he thinks that the products at 99 cents stores are good.

See? If you didn't compare yourself to him, how would you have a basis for comparison?

Watched my brother replay Journey. That game never ceases to give me feels. The music and atmosphere is [tornado fang]ing perfect; not an exaggeration. I kinda felt like a kid again, watching the magic unfold.

The thing is, it's less of a game, and more so a visual and emotional experience that happens to be interactive.

I really can't think of many other games that had such a strong impact on me. I can understand some of the criticism it gets, though, as it's not a video game in the traditional sense.

On another note, Dexter is indeed getting stale now. I'll try to finish up this season, and see if the rest are worth my time.

Learned a bit more for the intro of Nothing Else Matters.  I can do four more notes after the E Minor walkthrough, and I've been practicing that while strumming with multiple fingers.  Also, started learning a bar chord.
