I read a bit about Kickstarter on TV Tropes, and yeah, looks like they do crowd-funding for other media too; a book called The Girl Would Be King and a table-top game got funded through Kickstarter. Little Witch Academia's second episode got funded this way too, which reminds me that I need to watch the fan-subbed version of episode 1 I got sitting in the hard drive to watch.
