The funniest thing happened to me today. I got a letter in the mail formally addressed to me letting me know that I am "eligible to participate in this year's" Miss Teen Ft. Lauderdale competition.

And yes. It does address me as a girl.

I've been working on my niece's costume all day. She's going as Hermione. Instead of getting some far-too-expensive cheap-ass Hogwarts robe, we got a reaper cloak and I modified it. Cut it down the middle of the front so that it hangs open, I hemmed one side and part of the other by hand, and attached buttons and a loop of piping to make a clasp. Making our own was cheaper.

I had to get the dean's permission to bring in swords for a photo shoot. They stayed in the dean's office for most of the day.

Thought the dryer ate my sock. Turned out my sock ended up in the wrong basket and was never dried.

And hopefully washing my face will thwart the greasiness that's been plaguing it today. I need more stuff that will dry the hell out of my face. This grease is nasty.

Stuck with a lame [tornado fang]ing Treasure chart as the item because I let somebody else win it. I want my damn Swift sail and I'm not gonna waste rupees on a [tornado fang]ing treasure chart now when I can get a tedium free game instead.

Seriously, this is like the worst [tornado fang]ing programming concept. Oh, you didn't want that item? Well you could just quit... but we don't tell you that you can quit! You let somebody else win it because you wanted to get to the next item? Well too bad now that's the only item up ever until you win it.

My art professor is the worst. I'd be more involved in the class if he didn't speak like he's falling asleep. Everyone tries to leave class as early as possible.

He's like one of those boring teachers you always see in comedies. I had no idea they actually existed.
