Took her to a safe, secluded, sunny spot and let her go. There's a retention pond surrounded by a fence, so I let her go on the other side.
One kid wanted to squish her and I vehemently refused to allow him to touch her. I used the opportunity to teach the neighborhood kids about wolf spiders and how they're beneficial creatures that are harmless to humans.
Hopefully by my protecting that spider, I've taught those kids to show respect for others.
