From the looks of it, your Search level is pretty high, leading to those high-levelled DexNav encounters.

Maybe, I found a male and caught it but I really want a Female. Maybe I can find one with an actual attacking move too.

Just played both my games up to the first Center so I could get my free Beldums. Started with Mudkip in AS and Treecko in OR. I have a feeling the latter won't be on my team in the end.

Heh, mine was male too, and I intend to trade to my Y to TM Psyshock and Dazzling Gleam, because.

I found a Female with Encore, and now Ralts learns Confusion at Level 4 so I'm good.

From I remember with XY, his default movelist is kinda meh. Lightning Rod doesn't seem to be a useful ability for the team I have in mind. Not to mention Mega Sceptile does have a double Ice weakness. And based on the demo, his defenses suck. The Hariyama in the expert battle can [tornado fang] him up real easy.

I'll see how it goes. It would be nice to have a Grass Pokemon, but it's not a necessity.

Mudkip, though, is a lock.

I found it easier to just knock out dex nav Pokémon so I get more encounter data for that species, which means higher search level. I'm only catching pokemon that show up with Potential stars and (!) First Moves or Abilities.

Also, catch a Surskit and level up for sweet scent, to find hordes. That will increase your encounter data a lot, meaning high search level for that species.

If it were my game, yeah I'd be cussing up a storm. But, I won't get my copy until after Thanksgiving, so it's not my screenshot.

Still made me go FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF nonetheless because knowing my luck, the only Shiny in the entire game will be that one.

So, currently, my character is a lady named 'Godiva' (she'd be called 'Go' as a nickname, lot's of family history I have regarding the character I named her for) and I just beat Brawly with a zubat named 'Martha' (took me this long to get to this point because brothers both got WiiU SSB4 and wanted to fight me).
