Remind me to thank Pyro. I got my second shiny today in the Friend Safari, a Lapras. Only nitpicky downside, she tried to Perish Song me and didn't want to stay Asleep, so I had to use a Repeat Ball; not my preferred home for Lapras.

Sawsbucks and Pansages so far? Not worth-while Pokemon to catch now, is it?

Wouldn't been better to have at LEAST an Ivysaur in Slot 2. Well the Pansage is better than an Oddish to say.
Hopefully the Slot 3 Pokemon is better.

You could try Chain Fishing or Poke Radar Chains. There's also the Masuda Method where you breed a Pokemon with a Pokemon from a Foreign Country which ups the chances of getting a shiny. Those are the ones that are confirmed so far.

Poke Radar? I'm aware of Chain Fishing, but Poke Radar chaining? How do you do that?

Anyway finding a blasted Haunter in Route 14 is a pain in the butt! Heck, I can't even find any Ekans horde with the Honey I have.
