so quickie...

any reason that hippopotas was named Hungry Hilda? XD

Hungry Hungry Hippos, and "Hilda" seemed like a good name for a Hippopotas.

Added you, Sapph.

And Mabel demands I worship at the Altar of Mabel, so the game's off for the night.

Good luck!  Let me know the average levels, so I can work on training to have at least a brute force edge.

I thought so. As it turns out, there's a (fake) story about a circus dwarf who, in the middle of an act, fell into the mouth of a hippo. The hippo's gag reflex forced it to swallow the dwarf, killing them. That hippo's name was Hilda.

Didn't think it was cause of that, but it makes the name somewhat funnier.

Man, poor Houndoom's moves suck right now and I don't have any good TMs for it.  This is probably going to be the most challenging Pokemon I've ever raised.

Five badges so far...

Lv44 Greninja
Lv44 (Mega)Venusaur
Lv45 Talonflame
Lv43 Gardevoir
Lv44 Raichu
Lv44 Aurorus

The electric gym made me realise I don't have a hard counter for that type... just Venusaur's Bulldoze. Not really sure if I need to plug that gap or not, or how I would do that.

That flying press squished my Floette and fainted it in the Fighting Gym, then Tsunami killed it in revenge.

Flamin' Yawn kills everyone in revenge.  He enjoys it and reminisces back to when we first met as he thwomps some lower-level Pokemon in sweet, sweet revenge.

Can't say it takes much, the Kalos Champion is one of the most pathetic right up there with Wallace.

But, unlike Wallace, who is all water, this champion uses multiple types. o3o The one I had the most trouble with was one of the E4.

There really isn't many good places to level but with both the Lucky Egg and EXP Share it's not too bad, being a high rank in the Battle Chateau is a must - it also makes for a good source of income too!

The income is good to know. But it's essentially just grinding through the Elite 4 again huh?

If you combine the Lucky Egg, EXP Share and the EXP Gain O-Power you can farm pretty much anything. Another strategy is to get a Friend Safari with wild Audinos which give pretty decent EXP.

The Elite 4 is a viable method too but I particularly dislike it because you have to rewatach the scenes of them making their appearance every time.

There's a small post-game sidequest in Lumiose that leads to a daily battle with someone in that sidequest. As far as I know, their Pokemon are the highest leveled Pokemon for a Trainer in the entire game.

Question: At the Scary House on Route 14, did anyone tip the guy for the story? And has anyone been having random encounters with a level 58 female Haunter in areas that haunter don't normally appear in? A friend of mine has apparently been getting 'haunted' by one until she caught it. o3o
