There's also the EVs and IVs there too, IVs are mostly inconsequential unless you want max Speed IMO but EV's and Natures are where the selective breeding and training of Competitive Battling really makes a difference.

XD

But yeah, when I switched computers, I lost the teams I made on there. >.<;

Though, it would be interesting to see who would win in a not-story-based battle, or how our RPM Pokemon Adventures characters would stack up. :P

For forum RP purposes, it would be best if we keep the system simple.  Otherwise, as I said, just use a battle simulator.

Preliminary write-up of the Kalos regional zone Pokedex(es)
Judging by the top of the Central Pokedex, there are some nice Pokemon at the start of the game. Type setting seems good when you get two starters and one of the element monkeys.

There are also some Mega Stones available for (presumably) National Pokemon. So either these Pokemon are provided in post-game, or they are required to be brought over with the Bank/Transporter.

I'm looking at that and I count less than 70 new pokemon, not including megas. Personally, I'm hoping that that pokedex is either incomplete or going to be severely edited, because that few new pokemon is severely underwhelming and a bit of a let down to me.

Yeah, I know it would mean more work to "catch 'em all", but, y'know, most people only catch their favorites, and connection to the internet makes it vastly easier for people who really do want to catch every single one of the little buggers to do so.

At least if I'm going to use old Pokemon in this game it'll be old Pokemon I haven't used before, but yeah I agree there should have been more new Pokemon, even that leaker Josh said while there was a lot of Pokemon early in the game he was a bit disappointed by the lack of new Pokemon.  I think it's because of the Mega Evolutions.

69 not-megas are shown on that list. Though, if those pink blank spots are unrevealed/not-leaked new pokemon, then that'd bring the total up to a more comfortable 98 new not-megas. So, here's hoping that's what the blank pink slots are.

Pretty sure they've gotten every new Pokemon and slots #650-#719 are full.

There's only 69 new Pokemon.

I'm sure we'll figure them out soon enough, plus there has to be more Legendaries.

In the mean time I think my team will consist of Chesnaught, Blastoise, Houndoom, obligatory Fairy type (most likely Florgus), Dragalge, and Aerodactyl.  Full of Pokemon I've never used in the main game and I'm only somewhat familiar with Aerodactyl and Houndoom.

Also convinced a friend of mine to name his Aromatisse Posh Spice.

There's rumblings of a Legendary Trio, and of course Event Legendaries we haven't heard of yet, but... I don't think there's any more new ones aside from those.

IVs, the bane of all Pokemon trainers' existence. O:<
I know that feeling. Breeding Pokemons is especially annoying, getting the right parents to breed then hoping that the newborn will inhert at least one of its parents' IVs. Boy am I gonna have my cut out for me if I ever get Pokemon X/Y.
I hope there's an Action Replay for 3DS to speed up the damn hatching process when the code is found.

Breeding Pokemons

The plural for Pokemon is just Pokemon.

Also, to answer your little "hope", stuff like Action Replays are basically dead, they can't circumvent Nintendo's security anymore. This applies to the old DSi AR units too, those don't work in a 3DS anymore.

So apparently the appearance of Spritzee and Aromatisse is based on the plague doctors, seems legit.

Must you nit-pick everything I say/do?

Oddly enough, somebody made a fake evolution of Spritzee with an even closer resemblance to a plague doctor.

So guys, would X and/or Y be a good Pokemon title to start with?

I played Blue, though extremely briefly.
