Psystrike negates the need for an exploding Mewtwo, so I plan to arm him with that to combat any hit sponges.  To take advantage of the Fighting stat in his Mega Evolution, he'll get at least one Fighting move, he'll keep mostly Psychic type moves, but I'd like to arm him with something to counteract his lousy defense.

Mewtwo's glass cannon status was such a pain back in the day.  He could dish it out, but when faced with the right opponent, he certainly couldn't take it.

Snorlax waa my anchor, back in Silver. He was sooooo powerful. But alas, they just HAD to go and improve Fighting moves.

Snorlax was one of my hit sponges.  Added him to my team when my friend started throwing heavy-hitters at me.  Then, he learned my tactics and threw hit sponges at me so I'd be forced to use my exploding Mewtwo.

Heh, exploding Mewtwo.

I'm still debating who my new-gen starter will be.  Much as I like Fennekin, there's no way I'm tearing myself away from Charmander, and two Fire starters would be pretty darn redundant...  So, I like Froakie's design better than Chespin's, but water types are common as dirt in the late-game.  Decisions, decisions...

Mewtwo already learns Aura Sphere, awesome Fighting move, but it's a special attack.  Since Mega Mewtwo X boosts physical attack, maybe there will be something else to play with...

And yeah, I do miss the R/B/Y days when Mewtwo was a veritable special wall on top of being the most deadly attacker (and this was the time when most non-Normal physical attackers lacked reliable STAB moves).  My, how things have changed...  Zapdos suffered the "switch to glass cannon" fate a lot worse than Mewtwo did, at least IMHO.

They needed a new formula a long time ago.  I honestly think Legends 3 would have accomplished that.  They kept on remaking the same thing, with lower budgets, and now they're acting all confused because they stopped making a profit.

Can't wait to adopt a pre-owned Mewtwo and play around with him. :3

Final starter evolutions have been leaked.  Their secondary typing is not confirmed, but their appearance and moves seem to fit well with the previous rumors.

Yeah I've seen all three so it must be true, Fennekin's final evo was Fire Psychic while Chesnaught was Grass Fighting so I'm assuming that Ninja Frog is Water Dark.  Still going with Chesnaught even though Ninja Frog would allow me to use Blaziken.

Quad-weakness to Flying doesn't sound good for Chesnaught. I'll go for Fennekin if I ever get Pokemon X/Y.

Or you have a Parasect, don't use a Parasect unless you're in a Nuzlocke.

I thought it was Water/Fighting and Grass/Dark.  PokePeach had in their rumor list that the secondary typings were originally mixed up.

It's not Flying types that I'm worried about, it's just that I want to avoid having a Pokemon with quad-weakness in my team (unless their strengths outweigh their vulnerabilities).

Day 2

These are the leaks from that Josh guy. They're legit.
Look at Day 2 when he evolves his Quilladin.

Yeah that's why I can't use Blaziken on my team anymore, though Houndoom should be a good replacement.

No it's the 'Z' legendary.

Also it would seem that Mewtwo is obtainable in some way in the games. I expected that though, no point using him as an early advertising point if you couldn't even get him in the actual game.

Oh yeah that makes sense, specially since the Pokemon fighting it is called Goodra.  Have to admit that's a cool looking Legendary.
