o.o wow, it's so artistically beautiful~
Just as wonderful as Vanillaware's games (Odin Sphere, Muramasa, GrimGrimoire). ^.^
The animations are so smooth and fluid. I want to play this~
The dialog mugshots might look a little simple, but not bad really. ^^

This looks more like some animated movie. Which is a good thing.
I won't be able to play this.

MOTHER OF HOLY GOD IN HEAVEN, WHAT... HOW... WHY IS THIS POSSIBLE? I've never seen animation so awesome in a side scroller like that. Seriously, when I played SNES-like beat em ups growing up and heard all the stuff about next gen, this is what I was expecting things to look like (to a lesser extent). It also helps that this game's premise is interesting. Consider me hyped.

The mugshots seem simpler than I was expecting compared to everything else (except for Dust, mind you), but oh man is that ever beautiful. Looks like it's fun, too.

Dayum, that looks good.
And the gameplay makes me think of a 2D Devil May Cry. Consider me sold.

Pretty graphics, but I have my doubts about the gameplay. Not that it matters since I don't have an Xbox...

You know, who the hell doesn't have a 360 anymore? It's like the PS2 of the 7th Generation consoles.
The Pro package is only fifty bucks more than a Wii!

Dust: An Elysian Tail is an side-scrolling action RPG originally planned for Xbox Live Indie Games channel, but since this title won Microsoft's Dream.Build.Play Challenge of 2009, the developers of Humble Hearts have awarded a contract with Mircosoft to release the game over Xbox Live Arcade. All I have to say is that I am stoked about this game. The visuals are beautiful, the music so far is really good, and action in this game looks wicked and badass like Muramasa: The Demon Blade on the Wii. Sadly, there's no scheduled release date other than "late 2011" and the dev's site is down, unfortunately. But still, I am looking forward to this game. -EDIT-Winner of the Dream.Build.Play competition back in 2009, Dust: An Elysian Tail is headed to Xbox Live Arcade in 2011. Watch the above teaser, and tell me you're not excited. Go on, I dare you. It looks utterly stunning, and is bound to be one of the big XBLA hitters next year.
It's a side-scrolling battler/RPG, following the protagonist Dust who will looking to rediscover his past. Everything you see is hand-animated and painted - in fact, there is also a feature film in production called Elysian Tail that will follow the same style. There's been no news on the official site since July, but a release date of 'late 2011' is still on the cards, so let's just hope it isn't delayed.

Looks amazingly beautiful, but it's unfortunately one of those things which has so much indie-ness going on in its development and so many good things going for it, that I predict that it'll be indefinitely delayed.

Soooo pretty This is why I will always love 2D graphics despite everyone wanting to do 3D nowadays~ Though the some of the boss's movements look either very tween-y or 3D. But Dust moves awesomely. They need to buy more bandwidth lol.

Hello hello! First off, Dust: An Elysian Tail is nearing the final stages of development. To commemorate, I present to you the final logo for the game! While it's still too early to pinpoint a release date, I'm excited to start showing the game off. To that end, Dust: An Elysian Tail will be playable in Microsoft's XBLA booth at PAX East this April! (click on either image for a larger version) This will be the first public showing of the game since it won Dream.Build.Play at PAX 2009. I didn't attend that show, but I'll be at this one with a custom taste of what the game has to offer. Please come visit and try it out in booth #524 this April. I almost guarantee that you'll walk away a changed person! For a full rundown of the games that will be shown, click here, courtesy of Major Nelson. Sorry for kicking a dead horse, but here's some interviews with Dean at PAX East 2012 and a video preview of the current build of the game. And I must say, it's looking great. 3RM's interview with Dean Dodril at PAX East 2012.
