NEW TOONAMI SCHEDULE AGAIN.

Thundercats goes Bye-Bye on the 20th, guess they lost the rights, They're taking Sym-Bionic off too (but its coming back) so I guess that'll be good for the people who bitched about Toonami having kids shows on it.
Swiftly Aggravating Orfices comes on the 27th with another new show!

That show being...

Big O Season 2, Oh.. that's not new, that's just stuff they have always had. And no Season 1 is a drag.

Bleach and Naruto. What a shock.

I'd be relieved to see Gundam Wing and Endless Waltz coming back at this point.

Yeah, I know.

Real quality [parasitic bomb] they're acquiring, first they bring back [parasitic bomb] like Naruto, and now they bring out SAO, which... I don't even know.  -AC

Yeah I don't know why the hell they do this [parasitic bomb], I know my brother likes SAO but I know it's not really that good.

Current playthrough: Chrono Trigger and God Eater Ressurection

The problem is they have other shows people have requested and they either say "We don't have the budget/Our competitors air that" (DBZ), "We don't want kids watching Toonami on [as] so no" (Samurai Jack), And various vague comments (PSG, TTGL.)

Just appease the fans by putting out shorter series that take less time to air and get through the requests as time goes on. Instead they waste [tornado fang]ing time with two shitty long-runners (Bleach still has like another year and their insistance on starting Orange Jumpsuit Chronicles at the beginning makes it already go for 4 years.) I don't mind One Piece since that one is actually pretty good at keeping the story interesting and the filler isn't some nonsensical bullshit like Bleach's "Ichigo? Who's that lets have a story about Rangiku's cleavage or something" or Naruto's "Oh hey go do some missions or whatever". And they started it at a decent spot to be ahead of the DVD's and in newer territory to the US instead of starting at the beginning.

It would be nice of them to put the beginning stuff on Weekdays though but [as] hates the concept of Anime on Weekdays anymore it seems so that's not gonna happen.

Let me find the image and I'll get back to you.

Here we go.

And yes, this was really in the original story. The writer/director is a sick [tornado fang].

Yeah he didn't explain the whole story. That quote is from Chapter 16.5, taking place shortly after chapter 16. Yes. It was written by the actual LN writer. But it was uploaded privately onto the writer's website and I believe it was taken down shortly after. It's completely optional to read and you can enjoy the story without having to read the sex scene. It was never animated.

As for the two years worth of semen thing... It makes a little more sense in context.

Really, the first half of SAO is incredibly enjoyable. The ALO arc was very lackluster though and I had to force myself through the entire second half of the anime.

Point remains that it was still written and put out for everybody to see. If it was a fanfiction maybe it wouldn't have been as infamous as it is.

But putting that particular quote as representation of an entire series? Overdoing the hate just a little bit there. It's not a great show by any means. But it's not entirely horrible.

Its not a representation of the entire series.

Just the writing.

And I haven't actually watched it, so blame me for parroting off of /a/. But they are usually pretty right.

I don't know about semen, but it certainly is much worse.

The first half of the anime isn't all that bad. The second half is [tornado fang]ing atrocious though.

And that's the expert opinion of someone who watched it and reads the LNs.

Shitty CGI Clone Wars apparently surfaced on Toonami.

*yawn* nothing interesting to put on so they throw a show they'll probably lose the rights to in a year or two on instead.

Not that it really needed to be on [as] again anyway.

What, I'm not talking about the 2002 Animated one.

I'm talking about the boring as dirt CGI one that ran up till recently.

IMO, it became much more interesting when Darth Maul was revealed. The episodes also became a lot darker as it went on, warranting its "PG" rating.

Well I particularly never cared for Darth Maul, so him coming back as SPIDER-MECH didn't really faze me.

And that happened in the last season or two, right? So that's still like three seasons of bleh.

Evangelion 2.22 next week (With the usual Bleach and Naruto beforehand).

Guess the first one was a success in the ratings.

What I loved is how the CGI Star Wars commercial claimed "Filler was never so good".

Filler is never good. Especially in that show's case.

I'm amazed the rights haven't been lost yet.

They lost the rights to air Thundercats, which I still find amazing that a channel owned by Time-Warner can lose the broadcast rights to a show created for said network by another company owned by Time-Warner.

Yet Star Wars is owned by Disney and is miraculously still hanging around.

IIRC, Thundercats was also worked on by an anime studio. According to Wikipedia, Studio 4°C. Could have to do with the rights regarding the anime studio.
