First Season Plot

It is the year A.D. 2307. Fossil fuels on Earth have been depleted entirely, with mankind turning to the next available power source: solar energy. During this time, 3 orbital elevators with solar power generation systems are built, each under control by the World Economy Union, the Human Reform League and the Advanced European Union. However, not all countries are able to enjoy the benefits of this system, leading to widespread resentment and war. Arising out of the conflict, a mysterious non-profit military organization known as Celestial Being appears, dedicated to end all warfare using Mobile Suits called Gundams. This begins the stories of Gundam Meisters Setsuna F Seiei, Lockon Stratos, Allelujah Haptism and Tiera Erde as they are thrown into conflict between the 3 superpowers and the other various factions.

Second Season Plot

4 years since the final battle between Celestial Being and the UN Forces. Humanity, having established the Earth Sphere Federation, forms an independent security preservation force, A-LAWS, separate from the formal Federation army to further unify nations and the will of mankind. But the reality was the inhumane oppression of anti-government powers, doctrines and ideologies in the name of unity.

Saji Crossroad, who followed the path to becoming a space engineer to keep a promise to Louise Halevy and fulfill a dream, is also compelled to become involved in Federation government reform.

Meanwhile, Setsuna F. Seiei, surviving the final battle 4 years ago, saw the future of the world that had been changed by Celestial Being. With the defeat of guardian Alejandro Corner, he dreamed of a peaceful world without conflict. But before his own eyes was the reality of the continuing strain on peace, the oppression caused by A-LAWS. He decides once more to fight with Gundam, the power with the potential to change the world.

Where will Setsuna's and Saji's paths take them as the world is set into motion once more?

So far, I'm enjoying this series as well.  In terms of quality, I think it's better written than SEED was.

Is 00 worth watching if I found most other Gundams Boring? (I was young and lacking a sense of patience back then.)

Since this takes place during our time period (AD), we could be looking at a possible future.
In short, yes.

I am going to start watching the series pretty soon instead of looking at blogs so that experience this new Gundam myself. The only Gundams I had watched so far was Seed, Char's Counterattack, G Gubdam and SD Gundam. I don't remember too much on Char's Counterattack but I do remember a giant crab robot. Anyway, who was that Lockon look alike at the end of episode five?

I mean in the second season.

That was Ali Al Sarches. One of the main/best antagonists in the series. He looks nothing like Lockon.

Becuse spoilers alerady confirms a long time ago he isn't.

and the last 3 episodes have all sucked compared to the 1st 3. Especially the BS they did where they completly ignor Ali and Setsuna. also all the retarded drama they started to add just to spice things up. 00 is starting to turn into R2 rather quickly.

Only real reason to watch now is Bushido Bob and prince Ali, mighty is he,

I hope it doesn't end the same way as R2, I don't want another time slot conflict to ruin the story and produce something so "family friendly" that it is convoluted.

If the mass slaughter of Kataron was Family Friendly, me and Japan think differently.

Anyway, I have NO complaints so far, Name-Master.

I mean seriously, this has looked swell and is a good track run. Drama is a must for a Gundam series too, must be noted.

I can only agree with that. To me, 00 so far has done almost everything better than the previous series it took parts of it's story and concept from, the supposed "gems" of Gundam, W and Z.

Right you are, my good sir. Right you are. *nods*

I'm looking forward to episode 7 like a nerd losing his virginity on prom night.

Wait... I wonder if that's even a good analogy... whatever. XD
