Payne was sweating profusely, seeing Officer Jenny snap. He cursed under his breath at Phoenix's luck.

"She's burying herself," Quickie muttered.

"I was not even aware that there was a report," Mewtwo said quietly to no one in particular.

Maya just shrugged and returned to her game.

"Why I never...!" The Judge blinked in shock.

"Mr. Payne, if you cannot find a way to calm your witness down, I'm afraid the bailiff will have to escort her out." He stated firmly.

"This is going swell...." Hierophant mutters more towards Tarot Skitty, who continues to hide behind him while pulling its ears down and shaking nervously from the bias Jenny's increasing outburst.

"Were there even any words in that last bit?" Maya raised an eyebrow.

"I heard a few, but they weren't very polite," Quickie shook her head.

Quietly, without being noticed, Mewtwo took a moment to probe Jenny's mind. The woman was far too upset. His eyes flashed blue for a very brief moment and he made a slight gesture with one hand, manipulating Jenny's mind just a tad in order to pacify her. The most that she would notice would be an overwhelming sense of relief, as if something that she was worried about turned out to be just fine.

Steam was still ejecting from Officer Jenny's ears, although she did suddenly feel a bit... Lighter in the head. Wherever it was due to the steam, or some other external force, Officer Jenny did feel a bit calmer... Although something was still nipping at her being.

"Your Honour... A recess sounds good now..."

The Judge nodded. "Very well, the court will now see a 15 minute recess." He banged his gavel once.

At the sound of the banging gavel, Officer Jenny got off the witness stand, and approached the prosecution table. Giovanni was still facepalming at the display he witnessed, while Payne was panickly wiping his forehead.

"What was that outburst before!?"

"Why wasn't I informed on the Tarot card report!?"

"It was a small technicality!!"

"SMALL MY ASS!!"

The feeling of calm was slowing disappearing from Officer Jenny's mind.

"THAT REPORT MADE ME LOOK LIKE A FOOL!! HOW AM I GOING TO FACE MY SUPERIORS AFTER THIS TRIAL!?"

"Hey! Don't blame me! Blame that Phoenix Wright!!"

"... Maybe I will... After all this..."

Hiding in the cracks between each tick and tock. Everything stood still like a storefront full of mannequins for the mad Gym Leader (of Lavaridge) known Pyro, who climbed onto the prosecutor's table and stared at Winston Payne for a moment. He pulled out a pad of Post-It notes and slapped one on Payne's forehead that read, "Wanted: One Brain."

He then ran out of the courtroom snickering.

Quickie took notice to the Post-It suddenly appearing on Payne's forehead, and from his spot a few rows back, Mewtwo noticed the same. They both cracked a grin, Thanks, Pyro.

Beside Payne, Giovanni glanced up and also noticed the note. In one motion, he reached up and ripped it from Payne's forehead. Reading it, he crumpled it in his hand and sat back, glaring at Jenny. "You need to keep your head on straight. I wasn't aware of the report, either, and I looked over at Ms Shank, and she obviously didn't know about it. That's still no excuse to froth at the mouth like a raving lunatic!" He took a sip of his coffee and then folded his arms. "When you can, emphasize the other incidents. Emphasize how dangerous Mewtwo is. Hell, emphasize how it not only destroyed two laboratories, but killed hundreds of people in cold blood!" He took another sip of his coffee. "We may be able to put Plan B on the table after that."

Hierophant pondered reminding the bias Jenny that her sister had tried to share the reports she had gathered concerning Yan-Yan's copying abilities, but figures it was probably best to leave the bickering to the two siblings, especially if he wanted to help Tarot Skitty get out of the region without too much attention being drawn to it.

Towards the back of the room, Domino, James, and a somewhat confused Meowth sat in a bench, watching the preceedings. Domino looked over at Misty and Ash, who were seated several rows in front of her. They hadn't taken notice of her or James, and they conversed amongst themselves. Domino moved her gaze to Giovanni, watching as he talked with that hotheaded officer. There was something about how Giovanni was confiding in Jenny that just didn't sit right with her.

Domino lowered her voice and leaned in to speak to James. "I don't like this. The Boss has been exchanging e-mails with that officer, lately. Is he grooming her?"

(And, sure, let's blast through that recess.)

"According to what I heard before the officers caught onto my previous disguise, that Jenny is a lot more bias and quick to judge than the cousin and sister involved in this case," James mutters back, "The Boss knows that the Jenny family are the most reliable of the police force and must be using that particular Jenny to push the jury's favor towards Team Rocket and give them little reason to bat an eye to any other evidence stating otherwise."

"I just hope he doesn't give her my job," Domino muttered under her breath. "What really bothers me is that he hasn't even told me anything about the case. I just don't understand it. I don't understand it and I don't like it."

At the prosecution, Giovanni loudly cleared his throat as court resumed. He looked to Jenny. "Remember to maintain control. Though," he moved his gaze to Mewtwo, "if you can get the beast agitated..."

The Judge had just finished eating his hero when the 15 minutes had passed. "Oh! Recess is over, you say?" He asked to the bailiff next to him, in which he replied with a nod.

He jogged back to his bench, with a piece of lettuce hanging from his beard. With a bang of his gavel, the trial had continued, "Alright everyone, the trial of Mewtwo will now resume!"

Tarot Skitty poked its head out from behind Hierophant, still nervous as to what the bias Jenny might say next that will further incriminate both it, the cards, and Mewtwo.

Ryuta, meanwhile, observed what Givoanni was muttering to Jenny while eyeing Mewtwo, a dark gray blaze sending near noticeable chills down his spine. He can only assume the Team Rocket boss was scheming to secretly push Mewtwo's buttons in a sly attempt to further sully the jury into taking their side while antagonizing Quickie's sole ownership of the Mew experiment.

There was little he could do at the moment that won't jeopardize the case, and struggling to hide what he was sensing at the moment can only escape so many panning eyes before attention is drawn onto him, and measures are taken to make sure he knows his place and bow to it.

"It seemed... Concerned for its clones... I understand."

Officer Jenny nodded, before heading back to the witness stand. Payne then stood up, and clapped.

"Bravo... Phoenix... I expected no less from my rival! However, my side still has the upper hand! Please Officer Jenny, educate the court about Mewtwo's behaviour."

"Yes. Mr. Giovanni was kind enough to provide some prior history of Mewtwo. Mewtwo was initially born gentle, however, as time went by, its violent tendencies began to show. Then on one fateful day, Mewtwo escaped. Taking with it the lab where it was born in, as well as the lives of numerous Rocket Industries scientists and employees.

When Mr. Giovanni finally managed to find Mewtwo again at Stone Town, he was branded a villain by the townsfolk, all brainwashed by Mewtwo. Breaking through the farce, Mr. Giovanni managed to apprehend Mewtwo, saving the townsfolk. Mewtwo was then taken to another lab, in hopes of calming it down... Only for it to brainwash a few Rocket Industries employees, and escaped again, destroying the lab again, and taking some lives as well.

Don't be fooled by Mewtwo... It has plans to subjugate us, he created his own army... An army of clone Pokemon! The same clone Pokemon that attacked Route 11!"

Mewtwo set his jaw and curled his hands into fists. However, he remained quiet. He did not like where this line of questioning was headed.

A row or two adjacent from him, Ash looked to Misty. "When I get up there, I'll get this all straightened out."

Misty nodded. "I just don't want anything to happen to all those clones. If Team Rocket gets their hands on them..."
