Well, Dumbledore's grave didn't annoy me as much as the overabundance of Harry with his knickers down.

SO THAT'S WHY MY MOM WANTS TO SEE IT. 8D

I watched Caddyshack this evening.  It had a plothole big enough to rival the poorly-paved roads around here, but I still laughed.

You guys hear about the Spiderman movie reboot?
new actor and everything.
THIS is the new Spiderman.

I actually like the new costume. New artist and all that jazz. We'll see how it looks with the mask on. Meanwhile, here's the new Captain America.

Now THAT costume design I like.  Hearkens back to the old movies (motorcycle helmet and rubber ears, anyone who's old enough to remember these?), with a mix of Ultimate flair.

Just saw the new Karate Kid. Jackie is gettin' old.

Also just watched Enter the Dragon. Jackie got the [parasitic bomb] kicked out of him by Bruce Lee. Yeah, Jackie was an extra in that movie.

BURN.

On a side note, I used to be a "Norris-[Top Spin]" myself, but once you start thinking about it, just what the hell is so great about him?

That wasn't Enter the Dragon, at least I don't think it was. I just watched that yesterday.

Anyone here heard of I Spit on Your Grave (a.k.a. Day of the Woman)? I just finished watching it on DVD and it was a pretty good movie. It's an old movie from the 70s. It's about a female magazine writer from New York who moves to the countryside to write her first book. But one day she gets raped and assaulted by these country guys that she met from a gas station and these guys left her for dead. However, she is still alive and she plots out her revenge against these guys and brutally kills them. It's pretty [tornado fang]'d up and it's short (about an hour and forty minutes long), but it's worth a watch in my opinion.

Bumping because it's a sticky and therefore no one should care.

So a few weeks ago, my friend let me borrow his copy of Batman: The Movie (1966)

This is pretty much the most hilarious thing ever. About 10 minutes in, Batman and Robin are in the Batcopter trying to stop a yacht carrying a valuable item from being captured. As Batman is being lowered on the Batladder towards the boat, he's suddenly attacked by a (very rubbery) shark which clings to his leg. After hitting it a few times, he shouts to Robin to hand him the Shark Repellent Batspray (which was conveniently in the Batcopter along with a variety of other aquatic animal repellents). Well, upon being sprayed, the shark falls back into the water and explodes on contact (and according the The Penguin, was supposed to, just like his exploding octopus). After a press conference, Batman, Robin, Gordon and some stereotypically Irish cop try to deduct the culprits, and after going over the current criminals at large, this is their logic:

Batman: Pretty fishy what happened to me on that ladder.
Gordon: You mean, where there's a fish, there could be a Penguin.
Robin: But wait! It happened at sea! See? "C" for Catwoman!
Batman: Yet — that exploding shark was pulling my leg!
Gordon: The Joker!
O'Hara: It all adds up to a sinister riddle... Riddle-er. Riddler?

After some other events and investigating, a missle is sent into the air and somehow writes a message in the sky as a clue. And of course they're in riddles. One of them is "What sits in a tree, weighs six ounces, and is very dangerous?" Robin is quick to answer "A sparrow with machine gun!" And he's right. There's other things I could go on about but I'll just finish here.

tl;dr this is the greatest movie ever made

Just got back from seeing Battle Los Angeles.

It was okay. Plot wasn't too important. Hell, the aliens aren't even given names. All that's known is they most likely want to colonize Earth. Unlike some movies though, they're organic and can he shot dead with guns just like anything on Earth. They even have water inside their bodies (specifically in their "heart" IIRC). Action was good, but the slower scenes were a bit lame at times. Overall, I could very easily picture the whole thing as some generic Alien Invasion FPS.

The movie is probably a blessing compared to the crapfuck Skyline was.

...I honestly think THAT was the worst movie I have ever seen in my entire life. Ever.
They all die. 8D

LoL, one survives. It doesn't matter though, as I'll explain down below.
Well, just got home from watching this movie. Josh & I were talking about it for quite a while afterwards. The movie is definitely a Zack Snyder movie, as it is both visually stunning and edited extremely well. Also, the soundtrack for the movie is quite excellent.

LoL, the problem is that the movie makes no sense. Like.....none. You have really zero attachment to any of the characters, which is a huge problem considering their situation & their goal, which you really don't care about seeing as how you again have no real attachment to the characters. Also the voice over dialog really just doesn't make any sense, which fits right in with the movie's story not making any sense.

To best describe the visuals, it's pretty much like watching a video game almost. It's really half a good movie. The visuals & soundtrack & actually movie elements itself are quite good. Sadly though, the most important part, the story & characters, are pretty much null and void.
