The snake fell to the ground one last time. It was dead, but it cause such an impact that the floor broke.

"Run!!!!" Everyone managed to escape the crumbling floor to safety. The girl floated alongside Mirby in the holy bubble.

As the floor gave way, Alucard fell in, he quickly regained ground using a whip to hold on to one of the candles. He quickly pulled himself up "Mirby, could you please explain your pendant now?"

"Okay..." Mirby didn't really want the little girl to hear, so he sent the sphere around the corner. "When my father died, he blessed the pendant. He could have been Pope, but passed on the offer and decided to leave the clergy and start a family. I didn't find out until my battle with Sedo that his spirit lived on inside the pendant. Whenever I'm in danger, the pendant protects me. In fact, during the battle with Sedo, he actually possessed the sword so I wouldn't die. As to the reason it's protecting the girl right now..." Suddenly, a scream was heard from around the corner... and Mirby thought she saw smoke or something...

The girl inside the sphere was screaming and holding her head in pain.

Alucard set her down on to sit "Were you poisoned? Did you get a bruise?" He looked over at Mirby, "Did anything happen to her?"

The girl stopped crying, she was too shocked. She looked at Mirby, tears still shining in her eyes.

Meanwhile, the light surrounding the mysterious girl began to darken a bit, but not due to it weakening. Something else was trying to stop it from working...

Bluebeard sweatdropped. "I'm guessing that either it recognizes me as an ally, or it knows that I still have a chance to live the rest of my life out..." He said sighing. Though, something didn't feel quite right. He felt kinda sluggish with getting out of the room when the floor collapsed. "I think I have an uninvited passenger."

[I know I'm not. But something crawled into the armor while everyone was distracted by the girl's appearance, and I think that something would add weight and slow Bluebeard down a bit while trying to run, which would give it away. Bluebeard said it because he is technically a ghost right now and does not wanna pass on. Or are you talking to someone else?]

As the group moved on to the next room, Dan looked at the girl and then to him self as more and more small bits were falling off revealing a skin tone underneath. "Damn..." Dan muttered to himself as he covered himself more with his cloak.

Afrula drank from his goblet staring at the remains of Sedo, and not heeding much attention to the Persephone.

Inside the room the heroes found a treasure chest. Otherwise it was a completely empty room, it was suspicious, but they entered the room nonetheless, just out of curiosity. They approached the chest. The girl was the first one to reach it and she oppened it immediately. It was empty, but sudenly the door to the room closed itself and vanished. The floor started emiting a blinding light and in the next minute the group found itself in a dark wet room. All of them heard a friendly yet scary voice in their heads:
"Welcome to the Labyrinth of madness. I hope you all get used to this place as soon as possible, because you won´t be able to leave it.Now let the experiment begin, have fun!"
A large door opened in front of the group leading to the labytinth.
